Gunby Hall
Location: Burgh-le-Marsh, Lincolnshire

Origin: 18th Century

Background: The house was built in 1700 by Sir William Massingberd. It was built using bricks of a beautiful plum colour and stands in a 1500 acre park with informal gardens. A north wing was added in 1873. This is Sir William's daughter's story.

Story: My father didn't approve, he wanted me to marry a man of equal status. He didn't understand that I had fallen in love with one of our servants, a postillion, and my heart would not be swayed. My lover and I planned our escape, we were to elope, but my father found out. He shot my love and dumped his body in the pond.
My lover and I are now together for all time; my father cannot prevent this. You may see us walking together along the path beside the pond. This path is known as "Ghost Walk" and you may feel a sensation of extreme coldness, which means we are around.

What's the name of the DVD, Mos? Eric and I love checking out documentary-type films.

Re: Gunby Hall
Lets see, the first DVD is 'Ghosts of California' put out by Delta. On here they explore The Winchester Mystery House, Alcatraz, Bodie Ghost Town, Hotle Del Coronado, and The Whaley House. This DVD was interesting, and I'm glad I own it, but the next one is my favorite.

Its called 'The ISPR Investigates GHOSTS of England and Belgrave Hall'. Also put out by Delta. It has two different stories. In England the ISPR (International Society for Paranormal Research) explore Jack the Ripper "The White Chapel Murders", Tonge Hall, and From Beyond: A young mother who dies of cancer continues to watch over her family.

On the second the ISPR investigates Belgrave Hall. (This is my favorite story). Summary: The world's news media reports that surveillance cameras at famed Belgrave Hall have recorded a ghostly apparition in the north garden. An elaborate Hoax? Or, is this the first videotaped proof of life after death? Dr. Larry Montz and the ISPR team are called in to uncover the truth.
The haunted corridors of this eighteenth century mansion are opened exclusively for the world's most celebrated field investigation team. Walk with them as they meet the ghosts of Belgrave Hall and continue to shed new light in the field of parapsychology.

The Belgrave I really enjoyed watching. I wished I could check it out for myself. I would also love to see the Queen Mary.
