I have read ye other topics and thank ye fer the passing of knowledge.
Bein' a new RVR guild member, what should I focus on firs to become gud help ter the warlords? Should I:
- Craft and gain skill in AC, WC, and Tailoring to be able to build siege parts?
- Craft and gain skill in WC to 'elp in repairin doors?
- Jus get out der and gain skill in combat?
- Oder suggestions?

all of the above hehe..
whatever way you feel you would contribute best.. i will tell you that for the actual fighting.... higher seasons make a huge difference.. you may not think so around 40-45.. but when you start nearing 50 .. you will believe

Re: HELP FOR NEW RVR GUILD MATES
Well tis good te see ye 'ave an interest in fightin the ne'er endin realm war. A few comments....
* Wood working is used te repair keep doors, not weapon crafting. Havin a good wook workin skill allows ye te repair an upgrade the doors more rapdily. Generally speakin a 500+ wood workin skill allows ye te upgrade all the way [level 10] . Anythin above that allows ye te do it much faster.
* Seige weapons are made with a combination 'o fletchin, weapon, an armor craftin. Note these parts can be crafted 'o simply purchased at the merchant frontier keeps [benowyc, cruchon, and bledmeer]. There is no difference in their performance only cost. Note that a ram is somethin like 50-75 gold when purchased. This is not a serious fee fer a 50th season adventurer. The savins ye generate with craftin is not as important. Bein able te fabricate these items when yer merchant keep is taken by the enemy is the primary reason te craft 'em in my humble opinion.
* There are four very important factors in yer personal performance in realm wars: yer season, yer resists, yer realm abilities, an yer tactics [how well you play your character]. Just like in bashin monsters, yer damage an ability te hit the more powerful opponents is reduced [think about pve damage against a yellow vs. a red].
If yer lookin fer an opinion, I'd say get yer wood workin skill up if ye wish te contribute on the field craft wise. 'O course its great te 'ave a person that can craft seige weapons about as well. If ye really enjoy craftin, get yer armor an weapon craftin both o'er 500 then with a fletcher ye can make seige gear. If yer really interested in spillin the blood 'o yer opponents at this moment, then focus on slayin monsters an growin a bit older. I am no where near the most accomplished warrior but it seems the rule that e'ery one 'o yer enemies are 50th an the exception te see someone less then 50th out there.
Now..... That does not mean ye cannot contribute if yer not 50th! It just means ye need te think about it like fightin monsters. When's the last time ye fought a red hued monster by yerself? Ye need a group......

To be honest, wit Afalyn's buffs I be taking red hued mobs by meself a lot as a axe spec'd bezerker. But I get ye point about the frontier being a 50th level battleground. Just like the other battlegrounds ye want to be max level to have max impact on killin yer enemies.
I will learn me woodworkin skills firs den, while gaining seasons all da same. I was able to wack a lurikeen infil in da falls last night. Course dat was wit Afalyn's 'elp. Darn hibbies tink dey so big. Humph.
Thanks fer ye 'elp. I will think about da oder craftin. Guess craftin not be my highest likin, but I will do it ter help in warfare or de clan. Me like's ter kill things more, Alb, Hib or oderwise.

and yes .. with afalyn's buff you may be able to win against a red hued mob.. but mobs are different from players by far
and he isnt talking about whether or not you can take them by yourself (or with buffs) he was pointing out the difference in difficulty.. if you could kill a red or a yellow and either would give the same desired results .. which would you choose? likely not the red...
not saying you shouldnt go out there before 50.. just saying .. there is a big difference in a 45 hitting a 50 and a 50 hitting a 45 vs two of equal level so .. take that into consideration for advancement if you desire to improve yourself for killing invaders

Not only are ye wielding 2 axes.. you are also wielding 2 signatures.. hehe
just wait until it fleshes out.. there are some good arguements going on .. and lots of people think that the change is too much .. so maybe it will be toned down..
although was not the case with the 50% evade cap patch =/ back when i had dodger 2

Re: Reply
[ on a side note Ponga, evade chance is based upon many factors, one is how many enemies are attacking you. With dodger you will still keep your evade chances high, compared to without it. ]
Re: Reply
with buffs my evade chance being a kobold is already very near 50% without dodger.. and i at this point i would rather have MoP2 than an evade "buffer"
