Healing the Unknown...
*After a difficult walk through the mansion Toby led both girls into the Med Bay. There was no time to knock on the door, and it was lucky that the door was open so they could quickly get Mandi onto one of the beds. Lauren looked down and watched as she slept, feeling guilty, thinking she had caused this girl to go through so much pain. Toby had walked off to go and fetch Beast.*

Toby: "She's here. Found here moaning in pain on the grass outside. Know who she is? A new student who came while I was gone, eh?"

*Toby talked as he led the X-Men's residential doctor over to the bed. The sound of talking made Lauren turn around, her eyes widened in shock as she saw who the doctor was. A giant blue furred... thing. How could he be a doctor?*

Beast: "I have never seen her before, or this other girl."

*Lauren noticed Beast had mentioned her and was looking over at her with a friendly smile. She allowed her eyes to fall back to their normal size and stepped away from the bed, allowing Beast to do his work.*

Toby: "She's a new student here, arrived just before. Wait up... You said you'd never seen this one before? ... But..."

*Beast smiled at Toby's confused expression. Although he hadn't really gotten to know the boy much since he'd lived at Xavier's, he knew enough to say that Toby wasn't the smartest guy.*

Beast: "I'm sure the term 'med lab' is used around many places, not just here. All the same I will help her get better. You two take a seat, this might take some time."

*Both of the young mutants nodded, Lauren took a seat in a nearby chair and Toby sat on the bed opposite Mandi's. While Beast fixed up the strangers open wounds and cleaned her up Toby watched as Beast did so, Lauren's eyes darted around the room looking at the features of what was going to be her new home, every now and then looking over to Mandi's unconscious body hoping she'd wake soon. But inside her she still felt bad, still felt like she had caused Mandi to be in this state. What sort of power was this if it only caused back luck to others? First her friends, now total strangers.*

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Mandi woke up to see a familiar blue furry face and gave a weak smile. " Hank....?" The pain wasn't as bad now and she found that she was laying in a bed in the Med-lab. Having just woke up and the added concusion factor made her memories push to the back of her mind. She had trouble concentrating and when she realized that she couldn't remember how she had gotten like this, she bit her lower lip a little. All she could remember at the moment was an explosion and then nothing. She felt disoriented and a little confused. When she tried to sit up, the injuries protested and the room began spinning, making her lay back down with a flinch. She had paled from the action but didn't notice.

" Hank, how did I get here?" She asked but when she saw the teens in the room, she silenced. "Thank you...." She said in almost a whisper to the kids. Mandi looked back to Hank. " I guess we'll have to tell Dad that I won't be going to the Danger Room anytime soon." She whispered to Hank so only he could hear.

She still thought that she was in her own dimension and time, not remembering what had happened yet, her mind having supressed the memories.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
" Hank....?"

*Beast was pleased as the girl awoke from her slumber, but as she mentioned his name his furred head tilted to the side. How did she know his name? He pondered for a moment, but no, he had never met her before. Maybe she said something different, like Sank... Or Bank... That was just silly, she had said his name. Who was she?

Toby had also noticed she was wake now, since he'd been watching Beast and her, Lauren was yet to notice as she was still looking around the room.*

" Hank, how did I get here?" ... "Thank you...."

*Beast still had a puzzled look drawn upon his face, still wondering who she was. Mandi's voice had caused Lauren to finally notice that she was wake, she smiled warmly accepting the thank you. But Lauren couldn't help but still feel guilty as she looked over to Mandi, as she still thought that she'd caused this.*

" I guess we'll have to tell Dad that I won't be going to the Danger Room anytime soon."

*Toby leaned forward to try and hear what she had said, but it was no use, the hurt stranger had spoken so softly only Beast could hear. Okay, now she was talking to him like she knew him well. His head remained tilted, as he wondered who her father was, maybe one of the older X-Men's children were coming over, he hadn't met a few until they had come from other countries and maybe Mandi was like one of them. Yet, non of the X-Men had said anything like that, nothing even slightly similar... But she mentioned the Danger Room...*

Beast: "... I'm sure you won't be going anywhere near any training facilities, for quite some time. I'm sure your father wouldn't want you going anywhere near some. Any decent parent wouldn't allow such a thing."

*He finally said as his tilted head straightened. This stranger was a strange one, it seemed like she almost knew him and the Institute, but how? Lauren hadn't really noticed that she was fully unfamiliar to these people, she was just wondering what sort of place the 'Danger Room' was.*

Beast: "Excuse me Miss, but how do you know my name and the places of this Institute? I'm sorry, but I do not recall meeting you before. Also, I do not know how you came here, that was something I was hoping you could answer..."

*He finally released his burning questions, waiting for answers. He blinked and soon realised that she was still in some pain, he'd only healed the visible wounds, waiting for this strange to wake up before doing the rest.*

Beast: "How silly of me, I must fully fix you up. Are you hurt anywhere else, what's wrong?"

*Toby slipped off the bed he was sitting on, edging closer towards Mandi and Beast. He was just as curious as the other two about who she was. You meet strangers everyday, but not ones who knew of such a place, and so well.*

Toby: "Ya know Beast, another good question could be... Who are you?"

*He couldn't sit back and wait for either Beast or Lauren to ask, he had to know. He wasn't really the patient one. The tone in his voice seemed like he was some sort of a police man intergating a criminal, he hadn't intended for it to sound like it just came out. Beast looked back to him, Toby took a step backwards, taking the adviced-look he was given and went back to sitting on the bed.*

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Mandi's face mirrored her confusion and she placed a hand to her temple, the habit having been picked up from the long times of being around her adoptive father. To anyone who knew him, the gesture she made would be almost eerily identical to the one Xavier made when trying to think. For a moment, Mandi found that she was having a hard time remembering her own name and the other questions were bothering her. <.....how do you know my name and the places of this Institute?... Also, I do not know how you came here, that was something I was hoping you could answer...> Hanks words repeated in her mind. She was having problems with concentration and continued rubbing he temple. < What's going on..?> She wonderd to herself. Why won't my brain worrk right?> Mandi closed her eyes for a moment then opened them.

" I know because I live here, Hank..... I've lived here for almost eight years... I'm Mandi... Remember? Dad adopted me after we got the letter that my parents died... You know dad, right? Xavier? .... Who's pulling this prank? This isn't very funny.." She said in an upset and tired tone. It was obvious that she wasn't in the condition to be lieing or making things up. Mandi was silent for a moment, thiking, then she spoke again. " It feels like the time I got a concussion aftet that time when I tried to do one of Scott's simulations when I was just starting out as an X-Men...." She told hank silently so it would be a conversation between them since she didn't know the othe two that were in the room. " Do you know what happened because I surely don't... My head's all messed up right now and I can't think straight." She said, back in her normal tone. She was upset by whatever was going on and wasn't hiding it. She didn't have time to be messing around when she was hurt.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
*Again Beast titled his head slightly as the hurt stranger did an awfully familiar thing. It looked like she was a younger, female version of Xavier. Strange that. He could see that the young girl was getting frustrated. Then again, she had claimed to know him and this place, yet she didn't seem to have the answers for his questions. He would be like that if he was in her boots.*

"I know because I live here, Hank..... I've lived here for almost eight years... I'm Mandi... Remember? Dad adopted me after we got the letter that my parents died... You know dad, right? Xavier? .... Who's pulling this prank? This isn't very funny.."

*Beast could only shake his head as Mandi spoke, he had never seen her before, and now she was saying she'd been staying at the institute for nearly eight years. But he had lived here longer than that and never seen anyone like her. Then she went on saying Xavier had adopted her, could explain the identical motion from before, but Xavier hadn't adopted anyone, Beast would surely know if he had.*

" It feels like the time I got a concussion after that time when I tried to do one of Scott's simulations when I was just starting out as an X-Men...."

*She seemed to know a fair bit about the Institute, but Beast knew she hadn't been here before...*

" Do you know what happened because I surely don't... My head's all messed up right now and I can't think straight."

*He sighed as he soon found out that she didn't have a clue what had happened to her. The other two in the room could see she was upset, they didn't have much of an idea what happened to her either. They only found her lying in the grass in a lot of pain. How frustrating were these times when no one knew what was going on?*

Beast: "This is no prank Mandi, but you have never lived here. This is the first time I have seen you, and if you do know me, you should know I wouldn't pull such a prank. Now, eight years is a long time... Maybe you have stayed here for eight minutes, do you know the difference between minutes and years?"

*His question may have sounded like he was mocking her, but the concerned tone showed that he was only making sure that she hadn't suffered any brain damage. Then he turned around, looking towards Lauren and Toby.*

Beast: "Do any of you two have a faint idea of what may have happened?"

*Both of them seemed to think back to the scene when they first saw Mandi. There were trees a fair distance back from where she was lying. Maybe something had happened in there and she escaped only to collapse on the institutes grounds... A few possibilities like that drifted through their minds, but nothing near another dimension.*

Toby: No..."

*He replied after a short while, seeming a little disapointed with himself after not being able to think of a posibility.*

Lauren: "... Do you..."

*She started shyly, unsure of what she was about to say would make any sense. It wouldn't in the world where humans lived unaware of mutants, but maybe, just maybe, here it might make something.*

Lauren: "... I know this sound silly, but... Do you think my powers could have caused something like this?"

*Her face looked really unsure and her voice doubted every word, not because she didn't think it was possible but she doubted anyone would take her seriosly. It took ages for her friends and family to believe her, they thought her 'emotional luck' was just a coincidence, unti lthey found out that her moods did tremor luck. Just like when she went camping with her friends, and nearly killed them since they made her so angry...*

Toby: "That's rubbish! You were waiting outside the gates, you couldn't have caused something like that! Or maybe..."

*He slipped off the bed and started to walk over to Lauren as if he was about to interigate her, but Beast stepping in his way.*

Beast: "I do not think a new student like her would cause something like that. What are you powers anyway?"

*Lauren swallowed looking over to Mandi, an apologetic look upon her face. If only she knew how Mandi had really come there.*

Lauren: "It's Emotional Luck, well that's what I call it. I have an ability to create good and bad luck for others with my moods... I wasn't feeling too happy standing out in front of the gates, and my power is uncontrolable..."

*She looked away from Mandi, and over to Beast.*

Lauren: "There was one time there was this bad luck I caused... I didn't mean it, but an earthquake came and my friends could have gotten killed..."

Toby: "Now that's bad luck!"

*Beast looked over his shoulder to Toby, he went back and sat on the empty bed again. Lauren looked about unsurely.*

Beast: "That may be a possibility, but I do not think you have caused this, unless you were feeling that bad about coming here, where you?"

*Lauren shook her head, she didn't want to speak. Beast's words had made her feel a little better, but now she felt just embarassed. Beast walked over to a cabinet, opened it and pulled out a small box, walked over to the sink and filled up a glass with water before walking back over to Mandi's side.*

Beast: "Take a couple of these, they should hopefully clear up your head, or at least stop the pain."

*He said holding out both the box and glass, hoping she'd take it, even though he wasn't agreeing with what she was saying before.*

Beast: "Maybe if you could just try and think back to before you passed out on the grass outside, you might just remember something. Even a small detail might be of some use."

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Tears started running down her cheeks without her realizing that she was crying. Her vision was out of focus as images flashed past her mind. But first had come the sounds of her own screams of torment and rage. The first image had been blood... all over the grass... Everything was in black and red, the images being more shapes than anything clear.. but.....

By the time Hank came over with the meds, she was hyperventalating slightly, a flinch with each breath. Her body shook with pain, physical, mental, and emotional. Her face was pale and the symbol on her upper cheek was lit up intensely...almost like a light. Electrical currents came from nowhere and began flowing over her skin in waves. Her eyes held the torment and chaos that was inside her as she watched in horror as glimpses of her memories came up. "God....No........." She whispered. Mandi slammed her good hand down on the bed in a fist, a ball of electricity crackling and buzzing around it. Sparks flew as it dissapated on contact of the hit but they missed the people in the room. "NO!!!" She shouted, all the electricity shooting upward anf scattering along the ceiling before disipating. It could be seen that she had kept it from causing any damage.

Mandi now looked at Hank like he had hurt her deeply and moved away from him. " Y-you were part of it! You tried to keep it from me too!" She said in almost a growl. Even though she was in pain, she tried getting up off the bed only to fall due to the sprained ankle and a small cry of pain came from her.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
(OOC- Sorry about not posting yesterday, had a lot of homework to do.. x_X)

*As the symbol on her cheek lit up the three other in the room seemed curious, as well as hoping that Mandi might remember something. Both of the teenagers had seen the symbol light up earlier when they were still outside, but none of them knew of her power, until the electrical currents began flowing through her skin.

Lauren looked over at her worriedly from her seat. She'd never seen something like that happen before, well once in a movie but that person died. What would happen to Mandi? She hoped she wouldn't die. Then the stranger whispered something to herself, which Lauren could tell wasn't something happy. That lead to more electricity going around the room causing Lauren to figure out that it must have something to do with her powers, although she wasn't one hundred per cent sure. She'd never really meet other mutants before and could only wonder what powers others held. As Mandi yelled the electricity wandered across the ceiling before fading away. Toby and Lauren raised their heads to look up, Beast just watched Mandi with worry upon his face. The she looked over to Beast, the look on her face made him feel bad, although he had clearly done nothing wrong, unless you count offering tablets to her being bad...*

" Y-you were part of it! You tried to keep it from me too!"

*Beast could only blink in wonder of what he'd kept from her. He looked down at the glass and tablets in his hand, surely she wasn't saying that he'd kept them from her.*

Toby: "She's lost it!"

*He scoffed as she tried to move away from the X-Men doctor only to fall. Beast took a few steps backwards, he didn't want to make Mandi feel worse. He wanted to make her feel better, it was his job, but with the looks of things she didn't want it anymore. But, how could he have been part of something, keep something away from her, he'd never seen her before...

Lauren hopped out of her chair, since non of the guys were going to help her up she may as well. She walked over slowly, hoping Mandi wouldn't react the same to her. Once near Mandi she leaned over her and held out her hand.*

Lauren: "Here..."

*She offered politely, only wanting to help out. Beast took a brave step forward. He had to know what 'he' had done to her to make Mandi act like that.*

Beast: "... What did I do?"

OOC- sorry about being out so long. my computer had gotten the "So.big" virus and haven't been able to use it. i am using a back-up one now but it's only gonna be usable for 45 days.

IC- Mandi's eyes reflected her pain, emotional anguish, and extreme anger as she looked at Hank. She hadn't lashed out at the girl who offered a hand towards her but didn't respond to it either. Instead, she reacted to Hank's question. "You know very well, Hank!!! You may not have killed him with your own hands but you're a murderer just the same by just keeping it from me and letting it happen!!!" She snapped, tears coursing down her cheeks. She then quickly turned her head to look at the girl, anger still in her eyes. "Ane YOU! If you're with him then get back before I burn you alive!" She hissed, converting her electrical element to fire. Flames engulfed her body and she stood slowly, ignoring her body's screaming protests against causing herself pain by moving. "I may not remember everything yet, Hank, but I DO remember what YOU DID!!! I LOVED him and you let him DIE!!!" She shouted once she was facing him again.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
(OOC- Sorry to hear about the virus, gee that sounds like I'm talking about someone getting a virus... Anyway, it's ok these things happen to all of us, just glad your back!:) )

"You know very well, Hank!!! You may not have killed him with your own hands but you're a murderer just the same by just keeping it from me and letting it happen!!!"

*Shock began to fill the blue doctor's body as he was accused of being a murderer, as well as holding back information to this stranger who knew of him. Beast was sure that was she was saying was real to her, but how could he do anything like that to someone he'd just met? Lauren looked over to Beast, unsure of what to make of the situation, while Toby continued to think the girl had lost the plot.

"And YOU! If you're with him then get back before I burn you alive!"

Lauren stepped back scared that if she tried to say something in defense she'd be burnt anyway. Well, this was really getting off to a good start wasn't it? First by finding someone who she thought may have been dead and now she was being threatened by her. This room defiantly needed some good luck, if only Lauren could control her powers and give some out.

"I may not remember everything yet, Hank, but I DO remember what YOU DID!!! I LOVED him and you let him DIE!!!"

Beast was about to take a step forward, standing up in her state wouldn't be too much of a good idea, but then she shouted at him again. She didn't remember everything, but it was clear that she could remember that someone she cared about was killed. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her, he wasn't sure if she was telling some sort of the truth or not, but it was clear that she needed to remember everything for them to know the whole story.*

Lauren: "I-I'm not with a-anyone..."

*She stuttered out, braking the awkward silence which had swept into the room.*

Lauren: "I j-just came here today, this morning, before we found you... I don't even know anyone here!"

*Her voice was shaky which clearly showed that she was nervous, which was something that she didn't want to be. Lauren could be brave in times like these, she just needed to focus, but that was a hard thing to do for her. But just as long as she wasn't nervous, or get angry at Mandi her power should remain settled. She looked up to the roof hoping that she wouldn't bring any bad luck to brake it down.*

Toby: "If you want to knock her out I can get you a nice fresh bon-"

*He started speaking pointing to his leg, although in truth if he used his power he wouldn't know where the bone would come from, maybe his arm, or his back...*

Beast: "Toby!"

*Beast cut in before he could finish. Things were worse enough as it is without having him pop out a bone and knocking her out. Plus she already held a grudge against him for something he didn't do, so he certainly didn't need another reason for her to be against him.*

Toby: "Still think she's lost it! Look at her there, her powers are just showing off with her mo-"

Beast: "Enough!"

*He took a deep breath, this was all so frustrating... Maybe he might need to take one of those tablets he offered Mandi before. All the doctor wanted to do was help heal the strange elemental mutant but she went on saying strange things.*

Beast: "Look, Mandi... I'm sorry about your loss. I'm sorry for what you think I have done, but I didn't hold anything from you. I didn't know someone you know was going to be killed. All I know is that you are here now, without a full memory and all I want to do is help you..."

*His voice trailed, but it grew more stronger with his last sentence as he tried to convince the stranger that all he really wanted to do was help her. That's all he wanted to do, help...*

IC- Mandi grabbed the sides of her head. " I saw it happen with my own eyes and felt his still warm blood on my hands as I lifted his head up from the ground! I found out MYSELF that almost EVERYONE was in on it.. EVEN YOU!" She said, backing a litle when he came closer to her. She bit back the cry of pain as her body again protested.

She looked at the girl. "You're not with them? Then you shouldn't try to be... As far as I'm concerned they are not to be trusted..... Especially if one of them adopts you....." She said. Mandi suddenly paled, her actions finally catching up to her and dropped to the floor unconscious. The symbol became non-glowing and her body lax.

*" I saw it happen with my own eyes and felt his still warm blood on my hands as I lifted his head up from the ground! I found out MYSELF that almost EVERYONE was in on it.. EVEN YOU!"

Who's head? Who had died? What was Beast in on? Questions circled inside Beast's mind, as he looked about helplessly. It was obvious she thought that he had hurt him bad and didn't want her help, but he really wanted her to get better. Maybe just then she could figure it all out, and realise he done nothing to her.

"You're not with them? Then you shouldn't try to be... As far as I'm concerned they are not to be trusted..... Especially if one of them adopts you....."

Lauren nodded nervously, still unsure to believe what the girl was saying or not. Her words seemed to fit her emotions, it seemed real even the disturbing thought of her holding some guys head in her hands. It made her look down to her own hands and wonder if they could actually pick up someone’s head. As her head lifted, Mandi fell to the floor making Lauren step forward to where she was standing before.

Beast moved around the bed and made his way to Mandi, bending down and picking her up with his large hands, before placing her back down on the bed. He studied her symbol a little, it was strange was awake and angered it lit up, must have something to do with her emotions.*

Toby: "Aliens abducted her!"

*The boys statement made both Beast and Lauren look over to him with strange looks.*

Toby: "How else do you explain all this? First the aliens found a mutant, filled her mind with false memories about this place before dropping her into the grounds!"

*Toby was really showing that he wasn't the smartest mutant today. Lauren remained staring at him with a worried look on her face, maybe he was the one losing it. Beast just shook his head as he walked off and grabbed a needle. As he returned Lauren looked over at him, what was that needle for? Maybe Mandi was right and she shouldn't trust them.*

Beast: "It's filled with a calming drug. When she wakes up she should remain calm, it's only a small dose."

*Slowly and ever so carefully he gave her the drug, hoping that it would work properly with her. He hoped that a calmer version of the strange mutant would be more helpful than an enraged one.*

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Mandi woke slowly and sat up the same manner. She was a bit groggy and disoriented for a couple of moments before she woke fully. Once the full memory of where she was came, she tensed slightly before glaring at hank and the boy. She had decided that the girl there was okay for now... Instead of rage, Mandi now felt just a deep anger and slight hatred. Instead of torment, a strong sadness. She thought of all the possible reasons why her emotions seemed somewhat detatched from her and came to the conclusion in the matter of a couple of seconds. "You drugged me.. You drugged me in my sleep..." She said in cold tones and accusation in her eyes. "You know very well that it's against my beliefs to take drugs that alter personalities.... even temporarily!" The chill could almost be felt in her words along with the anger.

She glared at both the boy and Beast. "You, you two stay away from me...." She then looked at the girl. "You, girl..... You can come with me when I excape from here..." Mandi reached into a pocket of her blood-spattered jacket then pulled something out. She then held the item in between two fingers so everyone could see. "You see this, girl? Beware of people who have these!... I know what I'm talking about because I used to be one of the people who wore it and fought under it and Dad..... They will only betray you! The only reason I keep this is because I also have my beloved's and they are to remind me of the true meaning of this place and of my love in case certain someones try to get into my mind and make me forget." The object was shaped like a circle around an X... And for those who were X-Men, there was no doubting what it was.

" And so is this....." She finished before snagging her knee-length hair in her other hand. Mandi placed the items back in her pocket before pulling out a pocket knife and in one movement, her once knee-length hair was sliced halfway up. The free hair lay now to her butt, the rest of it still clenched in her hand. "I've only cut it once before and that was when my family died... I started growing it again when Dad adopted me. So even if I was made to forget, I'd remember because I would never do this unless someone very close to me has died." She said, hinting at how calculated she could be when situations arose. More detailed memories sufraced in her mind due to her being more calm and tears began streaming down her cheeks. Unfortunately, they were only memories of what happened before Remy's death and of the death itself... Then of her fighting Logan before running. The flashback stopped and she wiped her eyes with her sleeve, her cut hair still clenched in her other hand. She would bury it later...when she got out and away from this place.

"I don't care what Dad..... I mean Xavier...says! I will not be fooled into staying here! I don't care what kind of feelings I had for him as his daughter, they are no more!" Her words were sharp and harsh at the end. Then she aquired the gleam of hatred in her eyes as she looked at Hank again. "If you or the boy try to stop me, you will so very much regret it." She hissed. She then looked at the girl with caution replacing hatred. "Are you coming with me or not?" She asked in almost non-emotional tones.

*The three seemed to stay relatively quiet while Mandi talked. Beast tried to say something in his defence but the girl had kept talking, he knew he'd have to wait until she'd finished. Toby remained thinking that she was abducted by aliens, especially when she mentioned that the X-Men couldn't be trusted. His mother was part of them, sure he didn't really like his mother but it wasn't like he couldn't trust her.

"If you or the boy try to stop me, you will so very much regret it."

Toby just folded his arms, as if he was going to do something to stop her. He'd helped her, if it wasn't for him, and Lauren, Mandi would probably still be lying on the school grounds in pain, and maybe even died while no one found her. This was the thanks she gave them?

"Are you coming with me or not?"

Lauren looked at Mandi for a moment, then to Beast, then to Toby before looking at the ground beneath her. She'd just been told not to trust these people, but her parents had spent all this money in getting her over here so she could stay. Her family and friends believed that this place would do her good, but now this stranger was telling her else wise. Her head was beginning to hurt, she wasn't used to being in these sorts of situations, much more difficult than trying to pick the winner of the Football match of the round back at home. Now there was a place that wasn't confusing, home...*

Beast: "Don't go..."

*His voice seemed stern and although he wanted to direct it to both of the girls he could only say it properly to Lauren. She looked up from the ground and over to him, like that was a good reason to stay back.*

Beast: "Where are you going to go?"

Toby: "Yeah, where? Back to the mother ship?"

*Lauren smiled quietly at the boys comment, but she still wasn't sure of what to do. What if these people really had killed someone she cared about? But what if she was just a crazy mutant? What if... There were too many 'what ifs' in her life enough as it is without thinking up more. If she wasn't so shy she could have probably quickly come up with her choice but she was... She needed something... Proof of some sort... Or even a sign, anything to tell her if she was to stay here or leave...*

Lauren: "I was told that I could learn how to control my power here. I can't control them and I don't want them to hurt anyone... But if she's right I don't want to stay here... Do you have an idea of where we could go?"

*Her voice was once again shaky, and by the sounds of things she was really thinking about leaving. She could always find a pay-phone and call her Mum and Dad to tell them where she was and the truth about this place if she left. *

Toby: "What are you? Stupid? Are you just going to leave with the crazed abductee?"

*He was really pushing it, Beast noticed that Mandi wasn't going to be one to take his words lightly, but surely she wouldn't do anything to him. He looked back over to Lauren, Toby was right about her being silly to leave. She hadn't even spent a day here yet and she was on the verge of leaving. As she looked up to Beast she could see what he was thinking.*

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Having spent the morning outside, the first time in his entire life that he had an entire day without really knowing what to do with himself, Jarod had been slightly disappointed in the Professor summoning him to the Medical room. After being stuck in A.Corp's labs, research center and underground chambers his entire life, a day outside was turning out to be highly enjoyable. But he was glade to be of use to his father, Jarod has after all been spending his life trying to find the man.

The telepath stared at the lab door for a moment as he picked up a strong wave of emotions flowing from inside, and he had to struggle to block out the memories that burst from within the room. When he stepped towards the door, the young Xavier was unable to make sense of anything going on in the room. There where two young students, a boy and girl, plus a large blue furred mutant.. the Doctor he assumed by the way the creature was dressed.. and a woman. The Psychic mutant came to a complete stop, he wasn't used to dealing with people, in fact.. he barely talked with anyone, the first non-member of A.Corp he talked with was that girl who was being held in the chambers with her brother that he had helped escape.

The door shut behind the mutant who glanced nervously between the faces, he didn't know anyone, which since it's only been here a few days wasn't much of a surprise.. Why would his father send him here to help, why did people keep asking for his help with out explaining what was going on.. like with those Vampires.. he's never fought those creatures before, but they guarded the underground sections of A.Corp, and he spent the night with the other teams fighting them.

He stared at the handful of hair in the woman's hand, it was her own hair, he still fought back the invading memories that tried to slip into his mind. So long by himself, he never needed to protect his mind from the thoughts of others, especially since the walls where protected from telepathic powers penetrating them. He seemed extremely uncomfortable in taking part with whatever it was that was going on inside this room, but he had been sent here and he was going to try and see what was going on.

"Pardon me if I'm interrupting.. is.. is everything alright here?" He knew it wasn't alright in this room, but he had partially hoped perhaps someone would tell him what was going on.. he didn't want to go inside their minds and discover it that way, he didn't think it was polite or fair that he abuse his powers in such a way.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Mandi glared at the two again. " Like I would tell YOU where!" She said to the boy then she directed her attention to Hank. "You know very well where.. and you know that you can't follow me!" She then looked at the girl. If you're not coming with me then beware of the people here... " She said, her words as serious as death. Mandi looked at the hair in her hand and decided to incinerate it instead of burying it and in one split second, the hair was made into ashes scentlessly burned.

Mandi then became ingulfed in flames in case someone tried to stop her by physically attacking. She walked towards the door. " I am leaving now... girl, you can follow me or not.. as for you two, you keep away..... She was starting to feel drained but didn't show it. Mandi looked at the gy at the doorway. " No, everything is not alright..." She stated cooley, anger gleaming in her eyes.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
*Lauren could only hesitate on the spot as she wondered what to do. This was all so confusing, sure Lauren could get confused easily but sure was sure if anyone else was in this situation they would be feeling just like her. She was actually right about confusion being in the room, Beast was still puzzled, and where was Mandi really going to go? Like he knew.

As a new person entered the scene Lauren looked at him with slight hope in her eyes. Maybe he knew what was going on or maybe just something little that might take the confusion away. Toby just hoped he wasn't as crazy as the strange female mutant.*

Lauren: "Uh... I just arrived here, I was standing outside the gates then Toby let me in, since he'd come back here, I think... Anyway, we were walking to come inside when we heard some moaning, sounded like someone was in pain..."

*She started looking over to Toby for a brief moment before taking a few steps forward and soon enough she wasn't too far behind Mandi. She side stepped to get away from behind her, partly because she was afraid she would get burnt and partly because she wanted to be able to see the person she was explaining this to.*

Lauren: "... We followed the sound, and then we found her... Mandi... Just lying there, hurt really bad. We picked her up, carried her in here. Then the doctor did some things to fix her up..."

*This time she looked over to Beast for a short moment. Lauren could only wonder if she was making any sense to the guy who had just walked in here, and hoped she wasn't confusing him.*

Lauren: "... To cut it down, she woke up and, no offence Mandi, I don't think you have your full memory back..."

*She looked over to Mandi, giving her a sort of apologetic look.*

Lauren: "From what I've seen she seems to know this place pretty well, with the looks the doctor and Toby keep giving, but she said someone she loved was killed. She said that the doctor was in on the murder, but he says he doesn't know anything about it... Mandi wants to leave, she offered for me to come... I don't know what to do..."

*Her voice pleaded as she finished off what had happened. She couldn't help but feel like a little kid dobbing on someone for stealing her toy, but that was the only way she could explain it.*

Toby: "And this is how she is going to repay us, just leave! Want my opinion? Got two actually, one she's nuts or two she was abducted b-"

Beast: "I thought I already said enough."

*Beast wasn't going to let Toby tell everyone about his theory on her being abducted by aliens, that was just silly!*

Mandi paused, the flames becomeing more intense but nor getting bigger. " I already thanked you for bringing me here but that was before I remembered what Hank had done.. what THEY had done! And I was most definately NOT abducted, you silly child!" She snapped at the boy. "And as for why I am leaving..." She began, looking at the new arrival of the room. " I witnessed Logan strike out at my love with claws extended, the claws stab through to stick out the back, the claws quickly drag up to his neck then go to the side... then as his head was seperated from his body. His head rolled to my feet... I don't remember much after that... Just bits and peices... But I know enough not to be staying here! Everyone was trying to keep me from knowing what was going to happen!" She stated in a mixture of calm and angry tones.

She looked to the girl. " You make your own decisions, girl.. I already was made to make mine that day I lost my beloved... I just hope you never have to go through the pain of seeing and feeling that for yourself..." She stated in chiling tones.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
Looking uncomfortably at the woman before him who so bluntly replied to his question, Jarod's attention was soon shifted over towards the girl who began explaining what had happened. He could feel the confusion flowing from the younger girl, and he glanced over at Toby as he began to speak, but was cut off by Beast. Jarod's mind picked up what Toby was meaning to say, but he didn't comment or show that he had heard it. Instead Jarod looked back at Lauren and Mandi, a sympathetic look about his eyes as he spoke to the girls.

"If muddled memories are the problem, then perhaps I can be of some help.. if there is concern that someone has been involved in a murder, then I must see into such a matter." He looked towards Beast, remaining silent for a moment, he searched Beast's mind for memories involving a murder, but looking back at the young luck-making and elemental mutants, he simply gave an apologetic glance.

"I'm afraid I don't understand, I can't find anything that tells me he has murdered anyone, or been involved in such an act, he doesn't even know who Mandi is, though she seems to know him well." Giving Mandi a thoughtful look, he then stared rather blankly down at the floor, although he looked as if he was lost in thought, in truth he was talking with his father, the Professor however was fairly busy with his students at this time so the younger telepath couldn't talk with him for more then a minute.

"Pardon me, I've lost my manners in the confusion, my name is Jarod Xavier, my father is the headmaster of this school, please, if you excuse my intrusion, what was the name of your lover, perhaps we can sort this out quickly if we check the database. My father says Logan hasn't done such a thing, his children where taken hostage by a group known as A.Corp, I had helped them escape so I know this is true. I'd call him here so we can discuss this, but father says currently he's taking part on a mission in America with Cyclops, Gambit and a group of six students." He offered, genuinely interested in trying to figure out what was going on, he wished he could go inside her mind, but he wouldn't try because he got the feeling she'd react very badly to his invading her privet thoughts.

"Although.. I have the ability to find lost memories.. if you'd rather allowing me to try and find what you have forgotten.." He trailed off, not wanting her to think he was forcing her to allow him into her mind, some people got very edgy around him because of his mind powers. And considering the fact that Jarod was often 'childish' in attitude and nature at times, such resentment would easily hurt him, though he'd not admit it.

Mandi puased for a moment at hearing his name and that he was Xavier's son. Her eyes slitted slightly. " I don't know you.... How can you be Dad's son?" She asked, her whole body tensing. A slight flinch came from the action, her not being able to hide all of it. " And my husband's name was Remy LeBeau." She answered.

"And go ahead and search around in my brain, you'll see I'm telling the truth! You just better not search around in the places concerning my non-adoptive father." She stated. Mandi, for some reason, felt the need to proove her words true... she also wanted to remember what happened after that last moment before the blank.... But she didn't relax, unable to with what she knew already and with the memories seeming to be on replay...

OOC- I am thinking that the telepathy will be troublesome with the whole dimensional thing and the confusion in her mind.. Maybe he sees the whole scene up to her running down the hall towards the lab? I was thikning that it would make things interesting.:evil

Re: Healing the Unknown...
(OOC- Hey that's cool! I was waiting for Angie to post before I did, but she seems to be taking her time :evil so I thuoght I'd squeeze something small in, plus I'm reeeeaaaallllly bored!)

Lauren just watched as things began to move on, in silence. She didn't want to get in the way of things, she'd done that before and knew how annoying it was to others and it only made her feel as if she was in some sort of an awkward position. She wondered if what Mandi had said was true, that some of these people helped kill her husband, but with the way Jarod was willing to help out seemed to make her think that they were nice people again, with him being the headmaster's son and all. She also began to hope that her stay here wouldn't be as confusing as her first few hours here.

Toby only folded his arms from the moment Mandi had snapped at him. Well if she wasn't abducted by aliens, which he still thought of a possibility, she was totally crazy. She couldn't be married to Remy, he was oooold, in Toby's mind, and the woman in here was in her early 20's at the most. Unless he went for younger women... But he didn't think so in this case. Then she'd said that Wolverine had killed him, like that would have happened. Sure, Toby didn't know the older X-Men that well, but he knew enough with staying here for a few years to know such things.

Re: Healing the Unknown...
(ooc-I deleted ya 'ooc' post and just added what I wanted to write here, sorry it took so long, I started yesterday and the post was deleted when my comp died on me..)

It was slightly awkward for Jarod, but he took a step towards her, his eye scanned the others for a moment before taking a stand in front of the light silvery purple haired woman. He slowed his breathing as he struggled to relax.. to allow only her memories into his mind and not the others. There was a scream that shattered through his mind, causing him to flinch and quickly look away from her.

Taking in another breath, he slowly reached out for her, his fingers gently touching her forehead as he closed his eyes and tried harder to get through the jumbled mess of memories.

"Try and think back.. try and remember what happened to you." He spoke rather calmly, especially since he was extremely nervous he might hurt her or see something she didn't want him to see..

There was yelling echoing all around at first.. slowly Jarod could see Mandra walking judt around a corner, to the others in the room they could see Jarod's had turn slightly as his mind tried to see what Mandi was staring at with such horror in her eyes. His fingers flinched as suddenly everything sped up in Mandi's mind, what felt like minutes dragging by as they watched Wolverine's claws stabbing right through another man.. Remy Lebau. The sudden swift action of Wolverine severing the head of Remy right from the body caused Jarod's hand to instantly withdraw from Mandi's forehead with a shocked yell. Though his eyes remained tightly shut as he covered his ears in an attempt to drown out the echoe's of her screaming in his mind.

Flashes of her standing in front of Xavier's door, the door flying off its hinges and slamming Jarod's father out cold, her hesitationg, and then, unable to harm him further, Jarod watched as Mandi ran off. He quickly reached for her again, the palms of his hand simply resting against her cheeks as he hurriedly showed her what he was seeing as she began to destroy the lab. The storm of damage she had inflicted causing some sort of rift in the fabrice of space.. a doorway between worlds.
