oceangypsey Registered User (11/28/06 11:53 pm)	Hi from WV Hi there so glad to stumble onto this website...I also have struggled with iritis over the past three yrs..my onset happened one night while I was running....all of a sudden I noticed severe pain in my left eye when the headlights from the cars came by...I tried closing that eye and then realized that it did not matter, because the light going into the good eye was hurting the other eye too...I was pretty scared, made it home, and made sure there were no lights on in the house....made myself go to bed...thinking that it would be gone in the morning...in the night I got up to get a drink of water and the tiny light on the outside of the fridge hurt so bad that I dropped my glass, so immediately had my husband take me to the er.....they called in an eye specialist...and you all know the rest, I was put on pred forte and they dilated my eye....so far, I have had 5 flares of this stuff...oh, I also have hashimotos thyroid disease....and have been tested for all of the others, right now they are keeping tabs on the ana antibodies for lupus,etc....was also told that I have arthritis in the spine....have not persued a ankylosing spon. diagnosis so far....wow...reading this back , I sound like a hyperchondriac.....guess i have never seen it in print before, heck I don't even talk about it ....guess this is the place....jeanne
