Hit'n'Run (Open)
The streets were silent as Jack made his way through dark alleyways, trampling over broken bottles and other little as he pursued the bringer of his pain, the one that he blamed for his mutation. Jack’s chest puffed and heaved as he continued to chase the black feathered raven, flying through what seemed like a never ending narrow alleyway. The raven seemed to tease him, letting him catch up with it before it picked up more speed and turned a different direction.
“I’ll catch you, you damn flying rodent!” He shouted at it, his words echoing through the dark streets as he continued the chase, his black denim jack flapping behind him as if it were a cape.
Brushing his shaggy hair out of his eyes he grinded his teeth at the bird, thinking of all the promising things it had ruined for him. Just a few months ago he was the frontman for Raven Rage, women screaming and men shaking their fists in the air to his music. The on stage explosions, loud guitars and his band mates…He missed them all. And it was all because of that damn Raven. Or so he thought. It was always easier to blame someone, or something else.
As Jack neared closer and closer to the raven, he could see an opening at the end of the alleyway, but the tight opening only allowed him to see it was a quiet road, with miscellaneous stores and buildings on the other side. As he came to the exit of the alleyway, he got a slight boost of energy as he realised the raven was about to ascend higher. He dived forward, his arms outstretched as he reached to grab the bird. But as his body leaped across the road, he suddenly became caught in the headlights of an oncoming car.
There was no time to stop, as they both came into impact. His body went like a limp rag doll as he hit the windscreen of the car, cracking the glass as he groaned out aloud, rolling across the roof and finally falling back onto the road with a thump. The car screeched to a halt, and the driver poked his head out of the window. Realising what he had done, the driver panicked, sticking his head back into the car and speeding off, getting as far away from the street as possible.
Trying to move his aching body, Jack groaned as he felt blood trickle down his face, from a cut on his forehead. He managed to lift himself up into a crouching position, but couldn’t manage to stand up, his body feeling like one giant bruise. It was at the worst possible time for his body to feel number, as he saw another set of headlights travelling down the road. If Jack wasn't wearing black, then whatever was heading towards him may have had a chance of spotting him. Lifting up a sore arm to block his eyes from the bright lights, Jack realised it was a truck, and a large one at that.
It came closer and closer as Jack struggled to pick himself up, but he eventually realised what he had to do. Squeezing his fists, he could fill movement inside his body, the power inside of him wriggling and stroking past his rib cage. And then he felt an immense pain, his teeth clenching together as he felt flesh tear from his back, along with some of the material from his denim jacket as two large black feathered wings spanned outwards.
As the truck came within a meters distance, Jacks wings flapped forward powerfully, propelling himself backwards and springing his feet of the front of the truck. He catapulted himself onto the sidewalk, spinning uncontrollably as he hit the shutters of a closed store. Sliding to the floor in pain, Jack’s wings fluttered a little as he tried his best to keep awake.
I've noticed this is going unnoticed. Not a lot of charries are out and about around here though so it'll be hard for people to reply I guess, that and their laziness to have even more threads. If you don't mind waiting a few days between posties I could post with you, I have my draven charrie who was brought back to life and is being guideed over by a crow, could be an interesting meeting. I have a few places to post so I could reply in anywhere between the next day or three four days later, which i know not everyone likes, most especially newbies. If you are interested in the character, and ok with the posting limit, I'd jump in if you wanted

*shuffles in* Right, as Angie said sorry for not realising you were waiting *feels all ashamed*
But anyway, I have a char that is available as well *points at the pink girl*, she could get you to the institute if thats what you wanted or you can go with Draven, just depends on what you fancy really.
