Hogwarts- A New Day Has Come
The Story:
Ten years have passed since Harry Potter graduated from Hogwarts. That’s 120 months. 520 weeks. 3,650 days. 87,600 hours. 5,256,000 minutes that something could go wrong. But no, for the last ten years, the wizarding world has experienced the closest image to peace that they’ve seen in centuries. People could let their hair down, experience a life that wasn’t consumed by fear. However, the only thing constant in the world is change, and change has now come to everyone.
The Death Eaters are back.
For ten years, the Death Eaters were hiding. Lord Voldemort was dead, and without them, they had no leader, no hope, no faith. Many wasted away in Azkaban while others became recluses, keeping only to themselves. In the year 2008, however, one man aimed to change this. Lord Maleham, as he so christened himself. After Lord Voldemort was defeated, the Ministry of Magic reduced him down to ashes, and kept them safely jarred up in the Department of Mysteries. Ancient magic, unknown to almost all of the wizarding world, lie within that small jar. If anyone discovered this magic, let alone used it, all hell would break loose.
The summer before the 2008-2009 school year started, Lord Maleham successfully broke into the Department of Mysteries and stole the ashes. Unleashing the ancient magic, he used the ashes to make himself even more powerful than Lord Voldemort. Unbeknownst to him, however, he used the ashes incorrectly, making them virtually useless. He stowed them away, and only one other man knows of their location.
Panthera Lupus. Lord Malehman’s right hand man. Or is he? All the while, Lord Malehman has thought that he’s been calling the shots. But instead, Panthera Lupus has been concocting a plot of his own. He will rise above Lord Maleham, and become the leader of the Death Eaters instead. Already they’ve created damage at Hogwarts. Lupus released a plague of Dragon Pox, killing a 6th year Ravenclaw. They attacked the Hogwarts Express as it made its way home before break, taking three students captive. The Death Eaters have remained silent for too long. There will be no stopping them.
Some “Must Know” Info:
- Percy Weasley works for the Death Eaters, and is posing as Headmaster of Hogwarts.
- Cornelius Fudge is Minister of Magic once again, but is puppeted by Percy.
- Draco Malfoy is posing as a teacher at Hogwarts, going by the name Jake Mitchell. As of late, however, he’s becoming less and less of himself...
About the Roleplay Itself:
Hogwarts- A New Day Has Come is a role-playing board in search of skilled role players. We pride ourselves in being an advanced board, but that doesn’t mean we accept only the most talented role players. We’re also searching for people of intermediate level who love to role play, and are willing to push themselves to improve. The board has been around since March of 2004, and since then we’ve seen countless role players blossom to become fantastic writers.
