Hopes of Healing
Tessa checked once over her shoulder to make sure Arlen had been following her then stepped into the medical bay with an exaggerated cough. She was silently hoping to bring Beast or one of the med bay's workers over without yelling out or having to leave Arlen by himself.
"Don't worry, you're going to be fine," Tess told him reassuringly, hoping that it was true. He didn't seem to like it when people lied to him-well who would?-and she didn't want to be that one. Already she knew what it was like to get on his bad side and that was once place she'd rather not be right now.
TBC-Beast, Arlen anyone in the med bay to treat him...
Following closely behind the girl, a nervous flick of his tail every time someone else was seen wondering around, he wanted to ask what 'injections' where that that Rogue woman had said he was given.. But he didn't want to get in any more trouble then he was, he glanced back the way they had come and then almost bumped into Tessa as she turned to enter the Lab.
"Don't worry, you're going to be fine," This was like A.Corp's Medical and Science Lab.. only it was much smaller. He hovered just a step behind Tessa as he glanced around at the many things that where inside the room, he wasn't sure what the beds where used for, they looked very strange to him..
"What.." But he stopped, deciding against bombarding her with questions of this place, he could hear movement in the office where Beast was putting away some of his things, calling out that he'll be there in a moment. Arlen stared in the direction of the voice for a bit before lookind bakc at Tessa, his fingers reaching out and touching the material of her top on her shoulder.
"What is this called? Why do you all have it over you?" He studied it with his bright blue eyes, giving a flick of his tail as he waited for whoever was hidden in the back room.

Re: Hopes of Healing
Tessa looked over at him to see what he was getting at and felt his fingers touch the pale blue fabric of her shirt. "It's called clothing, this is a shirt," the faerie said, gesturing to her shirt. She remembered faeries ever so vaguely in their petal dresses and silken fabrics, not to mention those who preferred to go without clothes. Tessa remembered well enough from Halle that clothes were odd to sea creatures, Halle herself had had no use for them until she came on land in a more permanent manner.
"Well there's a few reasons," Tess began. "In human society people aren't suposed to go naked, it's considered rude. Up here it gets cold too so the clothes keep them warm, like fur," she said. Tessa hoped her explanation was making sense to the merman although she realised how very strange it must be to him.
Re: Hopes of Healing"Well there's a few reasons," Arlen looked away from her clothes and up at the girls eyes as she spoke, a habit drilled into him by his parents since he was born.
"In human society people aren't supposed to go naked, it's considered rude. Up here it gets cold too so the clothes keep them warm, like fur," Althought he was able to understand the fact that people wear clothes to keep them warm, he hesitated for a moment before speaking with a rather unsure tone.
"Human.. what people are called? Naked is called when people do not where clothes? And that is rude? And rude is impolite.." He summed up rather well, the tip of his tail swaying from left to right as he thought, then resting and remaining mostly still, only a twitch every now and then while he thought.
"You are Tess.." He motioned partially tiwards Tess with his raised hand that hovered in front of him between his body and Tessa's.
"And I am.." He remained quiet for a moment as he strained to think, his fingers resting lightly against the center of his chest as he tried to remember his name.
"I am called.. ESF Seven.." He hesitated for a bit as he thought over that strange name that Cole had used when talking with him, then frowned slightly.
"I do not think that is right.." He mumbled to himself, but was distracted as he glanced down at his fingers, his eyes quickly looking over his bare skin and glittery scales.
"It is rude not to be with clothes? ..I am being impolite? Will I be punished again?" He looked nervous, totally different in attitude as to when he was earlier outside with her, the longer he was away from A.Corp the more his old personality surfaced and replaced the drug induced one.

Tessa's heart broke feeling incredible pity for the sea creature that she had felt for few others. The last time she had felt such an emotion was for Clay after he had returned from that hell dimension they called Lost Angels.
"Of course you won't be punished. We don't punish people here, we try and help them if we can, just like we're going to help you," Tess said gently. She wanted him to feel comfortable and certainly not to feel any sort of fear. What had they done to him wherever he had been so as to make him think he might be punished?
"It's not your fault you don't have any clothes so you're not rude. We'll get you some though, I'm sure there's someone with a similar body size," Tess said, hoping that they could find some appropriete clothing for him.
"You said you don't think your name is ESF Seven," Tess began softly. "Do you remember what your name might be?"
As she spoke to him the faerie felt a pain of longing for her true home. Her adoptive parents had been the best things that ever happened to her yet she wished to know of the world of the faeries and to find her real parents as most adopted children did. She too didn't know her name. She knew only what her parents had called her. In the realm of the faeries her name was different for no one there would ever be called Tess. Tessa hoped silently that she could help him to find his name. Perhaps that way she would remember her own.
Re: Hopes of Healing"Of course you won't be punished." He felt half relieved, but part of him also wanted to ask 'why' he wasn't being punished if he was doing something she said was wrong or rude.
"We don't punish people here, we try and help them if we can, just like we're going to help you," They where going to help him.. was he in trouble? Obviously he had to be in trouble if people where going to help him.. he just couldn't remember what trouble he was in, that had to be the case, his memory wasn't the most reliable right now so maybe he knew what trouble he was in and just couldn't remember right now. If he was quiet maybe it'd come back to him and then he won't have to disturb anyone by asking any more silly questions that seem to aggitate some of these people.
He looked down at his chest as she mentioned about getting him some clothes, he must have had clothes before.. right? So if he had clothes where had they gone? Or maybe he never had clothes, they didn't sound familiar to him..
"You said you don't think your name is ESF Seven.. Do you remember what your name might be?" He stared at her, his lips partially moving as if he had his name on the very tip of his tongue but just couldn't put it into words. But before he was able to give up on his attept, Beast had called them over, Arlen quickly ducking behind Tessa as he stared at the large blue furred feline. Since Arlen was taller, he could see over Tessa's head and got a clear view of the creatures clawed hands..
