I CAN see clearly now
Hi Everyone
Op went well, didnt stay over night as there was no bed available had to go back for check up this morning and Docs are happy. Its amazing its just as though a heavy fog has lifted and everything is now clearly defined. Colours are brighter as well and oops I have noticed some of the windows need cleaning (I couldnt tell before!!!!!!).
In a couple of weeks I will get my eyes tested for new specs then everything should be fine (barring any more flare up of the uveitis). Its so good to be able to share this with people who understand the condition cos other people just say "oh but you're on;y having a cataract rrmoved its no big deal". At least you all know that it is a "big deal" to us, the cataract is gone but the uveitis still lurks in the background.
Re: I CAN see clearly now
The theme tune did the trick then! So pleased to hear that it's all gone so well!
Your comment about windows reminded me of the story my optometrist told me when I got my first pair of specs as a 10 year old - his neighbour's child had also recently got specs and promptly pointed out all the weeds in the garden!
Re: I CAN see clearly now
Hi everyone
Things seem to be going ok at the moment, have to go back to see Mr. Jones on tuesday and I'm hoping he will say I can start driving again. Got myself in a spot of bother with the seeing clearly bit. My husband usually does the windows for me and I just happened to mention that now I can see better I'd noticed the windows were in need of a little tlc, that didnt go down too well!!!!
There is also a very definite down side to improved vision, when I look in the mirror I can see wrinkles I'm positive weren't there before the op. Oh well I sippose I cant have everything, its either poor vision and no wrinkles or wrinkles and seeing properly.

PS talking to you all keeps my spirits up, thank you.
