I dont complain often...
But ive been coughing for over 3 weeks now. I assume now I have bronchitis, its getting the best of me, I havent slept good since 3 weeks. Arggggg, the one thing I do not like about being sick is to cough, and im doing just that, nothing else is wrong with me other than that. Ive tried numerous remedies to help aid it, but its still persistant. Does anyone know how long this is going to last, or does this vary from person to person? HELP!!!! LOL (frustrated at the same time)

Have you gone to the doctor? Maybe you need an antibiotic.
What I usually use when I have a cough is those otc cough suppressent patches. I believe they are triaminic. I know they are supposed to be for kids, but they work.

Havent gone to the doctor yet, I assumed it was just a lingering cough, but its lingered on a bit too long, today isnt as bad as yesturday though, maybe yesturday was the peak of all the coughing, and now its on its downward mode LOL

Jenn first piece of advice see your doc. Second what remidies have you tried? Also do you have a cool steam humidifier? If not please do your self a favor and invest in one SOON! It will help a lot! One remidie you can try is to heat up some equal parts hone and lemon and drink that it will help.Hope this helps you out.Feel better soon.

Thanks Katt, Ive tried everything from nyquil to frozen pops to cough drops, it just made me cough more. If it still happens into this weekened then I will go to the docs, I just dont have insurance and I dont want to spend alot just for them to turn and give me meds. Plus i dont like the docs LOL, im chicken. But I will try your honey and lemon remedy, I dont like either but if it will work then by god ill try it. Oh yeah about the cool steam, it feels like i cough more when I breathe in cool air (airconditioning ect..).

Yep spry still sick LOL, I got sick when i went to alices gravesite which was weeks ago, Must of been cursed LMAO.

Do you have an air purifier? And a cool steam humidifer and cold air a re a lil differant :) But if that doesn't help then do me a favor boil a big pot of water and sit over it with a towel over your head and BREATHE in the steam.I have to do this occasionally and it should help.Promise me you will see the doc if it is not better by this weekend! I know I sound like a mom lol I can't help it.
Oh Jenn, I'm sorry to hear you're still sick. I've had bronchitis many times and there's usually more symptoms that linger other than just the cough, but again, everyone's reaction is different. The use of the humidifier would have been my suggestion too. I know what you mean about avoiding seeing the doc.....especially with no insurance. I'm in that same boat now too. It is a strange coincidence that all this started when you visited Alice.

You know I keep forgetting about your situation with medical insurance there in the U.S. We here in Canada never pay for a visit to the doctor or a specialist, nor hospital visits or stays. Our OHIP coverage takes care of it. Of course we do pay for that deduction out of our paycheck, however well worth it. I take our great healthcare system for granted sometimes. So when I say "go see the doctor" just remember I forget you have to pay for those visits if you don't have insurance.

I just cant catch a break, here it is almost 3am and i come home from work, to find no hair on the back of my cat. apparently he is allergic to something, so tommorow im off to the vet to figure this out, geeze cant I catch a break.

Yes soon as we moved here it started, Ive noticed fleas on them and by god they did not have fleas at all. So apparently they picked them up someplace, and thats what there allergic too. So I went to the doctors and they took care of them. no flees now but they are home now, glad to be home im sure. Laying peacefully in the other room. But my only problem is trying to get them to take there medication now.

Good to hear your kitties are okay now. I consider fleas and cockroaches ecological boo boo's (proof that even God makes mistakes IMO). Neither serve any reasonable purpose in life to me. Here we battle fleas and ticks year-round!

Yep not used to dealing with fleas, but i became knowledgeable about them to better find out there way of life, so I will be ready next time
