Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
Illidan had decided to spend some time away from the mansion, and with it Danae. His thoughts still lingered on her every now and then, though doubts were begging to filter into his mind. He had decided to stop into this club to catch up on the new way of speaking and acting. He had been worried that people would question him on the way because he was wearing a tee-shirt and jeans with black boots, but it didn't matter since he had seen no one on the short walk. When he had arrived he had taken a seat at the back and relaxed, ording a simple drink, never putting it too his lips but he let it sit at his table for the look. He was practically invisible except for the slight glow his marble skin gave off.
Do I really need to be doing this? I've been at the mansion and I rarely left the grounds, I doubt that even if I did leave my mannerisms would matter. Then again, this is part of the fun of being undead. His hand slipped into his pocket, touching the vial of his master's blood that rested there. What should I do master, you were always weak, but you survived, you just never tried to enjoy unlife. This thought brought a smile to his lips. His thoughts were shattered when he saw a mutant with bright orange skin take off their coat. So much for escaping the mansion completely. He shrugged, he didn't much care. He ran a hand through his hair, it had been growing, a sign that he had passed the 'puberty' period of his unlife, now his hair grew like a human's unless he commanded it not to, the same went for his finger and toe nails, minor things to most people, but oh so important to a vampire. His thoughts were again interrupted, this time by a pretty young human. She sat down at his table and smiled at him.
"You're glowing you know." Her voice sounded slightly effected by drink.
"I must've had one too many ma cheire." He replied with a roguish smile.
"You're so charming." Now instantly sober, she had made the mistake of looking into Illidan's eyes and he charmed her instantly.
"Ah, alas, I could not compair to your natural charm and grace." He said somberly, filling his voice with regret.
"Let's test that, shall we dance." She said with a giggle. Illidan showed no outward emotion though panic swept through him. He was not sure he could control his abilities to the point that he could dance like a mortal. He had watched every dance tape he could find from this era and memoriesed the movements.
He smiled, "A fitting test." I am up for any challenge these mortals have to offer. He got up and took her hand, leading her to the dance floor. Illidan forced himself to move to the beat. His movements became fluid almost instantly once he got past the inital rigidity. Soon he was bustin' a move with his partner that put all the others dancing to shame. Illidan felt his panic lift and an emotion he never expected to find except durring a hunt. He was enjoying himself, he was actually having fun. "Amazing." He whispered.
Tessa, clad in her black tang-top halfshirt, black cap, denim cut-off shorts, and sneakers, watched the customers as they danced to the beats she gave them. Her bracelets clanked a little as she moved her hands to switch the songs out, her making a smooth transaction from one to another to where it sounded like it was another part of the previous mix. Unable to keep still for long, she danced a little from her post at the DJ table, her earrings, belly bracelet, bracelets, rings, sunglasses, and belly button piercing catching random flashes of the lights, them glinting slightly.
She couldn't wait to get out from behind the mixing tray, her not having planned on doing any work that night. Someone that she had filled in for before in another club had asked her to fill in for her again but this time just for a few hours and only because they were about to be late for their first day at working at The Dying Star. Tessa wondered for a moment why she had said yes but the reminder came as she jammed off of the beat. This club had more options of music than most of the others in New York.
As the current song started to reach it's end, Tessa switched a couple of switches and then next song faded in almost perfectly, only missing the beat slightly but she cheated a little with her abilities to make it sound like the slip hadn't happened.
Her eyes scanned the club and a smile came to her lips as she saw Leany, the girl she was filling in for. Once Leany got over to the table, Tessa moved to let the woman take her spot. "Well, Leany, I think I held down the fort for you good enough to deserve a free drink hmm?" She commented to the blonde. As Leany motioned ot the bartender Tessa grinned.
"Well, I'll hang around for a bit then I'm off. Might do a little dancing now that I'm in the mood for it. Don't let me down now on the music." She gave a teasing grin then made her way to the bar. There were plenty of glances her way but her being used to it, she pretty much ignored them as she took a seat at the bar counter and ordered a Mikes Hard Lemonade. It was one of the few drinks she liked.
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
As Illidan danced he noticed a most piculiar human move from the DJ booth to the bar. She would have made great prey, he could tell she was strong willed and would've made him really work for it. His eyes followed her until she arrived at the bar. Illidan decided it was time to leave this charmed girl and move on to something a bit more interesting.
Panic returned Illidan to his dancing partner, Merde! The girl had copped a feel, luckily for him she didn't do anything further or covering up his lifeless nether regions would've been difficult. He kept dancing and winked at her. She was still being charmed and found herself giggiling despite her experience on the party scene.
As the fifth song came on Illidan bowed, "Ma cherie, I have taken enough of your time, find someone a bit more, available." She seemed dissappointed, Illidan gave her a swift kiss on the cheek, luckily for him he had taken a drink before leaving the mansion so he was not cold as death. She blushed and he pulled away. Illidan turned his back to her and set his eyes, Time for something more challenging. Making his way to the bar Illidan smoothed out the bottom of his shirt which had gotten wrinked from the dancing, he didn't need to worry about any odor, though he wore the slightest bit of cologne to tantalize the noses of those around him.
Illidan sat next to the DJ, "You're awfully flashy." He said with a wink, turning to the bartender, "Compari and soda please." Taking the drink he raised it to her and put it to his lips, the liquid never passing into his mouth, but he was so practiced that you would never be able to tell.
Illidan attempted to seem uninteresting, finding that always seemed to make his prey take more intrest in him, a funny paradox of the living. His hands played with the glass on the bar, he realized he was acting nervous, though he had no idea why. Relaxing he sat back, allowing himself to become calm and his posture became confident. This was not prey and a hunt, this was a woman and a conversation. Mentally gathering himself, he turned to the DJ.
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
Tessa was sipping her drink from a straw as she listened to the music and as she thought on if she were really going to get up and dance or just go home or not when a man, tall with brown hair and looking a bit too young to be coming up to the bar, sat down beside her. "You're awfully flashy." The comment and wink caused her to raise a brow at him but before she could reply, he went on to ordering a drink from the bartender. When the drink arrived and when the guy rose his glass to her, she rose her brow again wondering if the guy was trying to be friendly or trying to be an @ss. It was hard to tell in New York with most people.
"I'm Illidan." As the hand was offered, she gave a short and simple shake of the hand before removing her hand to place it back on her glass, the other hand remaining on her knee where it had been resting the whole time she had been sitting there. She gave a slight grin now that she was given the chance to reply. Although it was belated, she was able to tease him about his first words spoken.
"So do you wander up to a lot of women talking about how flashy they are first then making introductions after?" She commented. "It's my job to be flashy, Illidan, that and it's just the way I am." She told him, smirking slightly to show that she hadn't been offended and that she was just busting his chops. "So what's your excuse? You're awfully young arent you?" She commented, signaling with her eyes that she was talking about his being right there.
He had been acting nervous earlier and this just gave her more of a thought that he wasn't supposed to be there. After-all, what was to get so worked up for if there was nothing wrong. The guy looked between eight teen and twenty... Twenty at most. If she weren't a DJ and was a bartender instead, she definately would have carded him. Taking a last sip of her drink then flashing a grin at him, she got up. "Well, I'm off." She told him.
The music was calling her, she had to dance at least a little before she left! Finding a semi-clear space, she did just that, danced. It didn't seem like she even dwelled on the thought of the guy for longer than the time she had been still over at the bar.
"Cold," Illidan murmed with a smirk. "I suppose I should go dance with her, she's my type." Illidan smiled, It's no fun unless they're had to catch. Illidan turned around on the chair and leaned back, his legs comfortably resting slightly open, he scanned the dance floor, a blantant move would obviously just alienate him, like his last attempt had, he'd need to move in more discretely. Illidan debated just jumping into the crowd in a display of preternatural ability. Of course, as much as he enjoyed the thought of doing so, it was not an option. Illidan continued to plan, was she a mutant? Was she afraid of mutants? Did she sympathize with them? He could weed the answer to those questions out later, right now he needed to make a connection, get her interested in him. Otherwise, she'd be the one in control the whole night.
Illidan stood up and entered the dancing crowd, positioning himself a few people away from her, but right in her sight. He began to dance, his body moving to the memorized steps with a fluidity that made it seem as though he was born dancing, while his other sense concentrated on Tessa, If she suspects I'm following her I can just say I wanted to at least get her name. Illidan's eyes lit up with realization.
"It's my job to be flashy, Illidan, that and it's just the way I am."
Illidan scanned the room quickly, there was a poster over the dj booth, in big letters it read, "Featuring Guest DJ: Tessa." Could that be her? She had left from the DJ's booth. Now Illidan had some more ammunition, he could feign that he had no idea she was a DJ, perfect, Illidan danced his way closer, once close enough he yelled to her, allowing himself now to be only a single person away from her, he began using one of his vampiric abilities, the summons, into Tessa's subconcious Illidan implanted a message, Talk to the guy from the bar, it whispered to her, you never did figure out what a kid was doing here, then for his own personal gratification Illidan added, he was kind've cute too.
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
Tessa was dancing to the mix that Leany was throwing out, her body responding to each change of the beat and dancing showing off the form she kept in desirable condition both through her own eyes and apparently through the eyes of the people around her with how they seemed to just "want to get to know her better" or go out. She didn't mind the attention; it would be a lie to say she did. It was just the thoughts of relationships ever forming she didn't care to go too far into.
The music switched, changing to a slower song and Tessa went to look over at Leany to smile at her and give her a signal that she was doing good but her eyes went to the guy from the bar shortly after she did so. There were some terrible dancers out there and some decent ones but he was neither, seeming to have found perfection in the art. She had to give him some credit on that. She was almost tempted to compliment him on that but knowing things could be taken the wrong way, she stopped herself. Instead, she continued dancing.
The boy was that bad of a looker, that was for sure. Eye candy, to be exact. But that was all he was going to be: eye-candy... for now at least. She liked to flirt though, teasing guys being one of her hobbies. Just playful teasing though to make sure that they didn't get the wrong idea in thinking that she was leading them on... Although some have tried to claim that she did. She turned her face towards him and gave him a small cute grin before looking over at Leany and giving an upward nod to ask if she could pick up the pace again.
Leany's transaction in the music was perfect, Tessa hadn't even had to tamper with the sound any. Tessa flashed her a smile before adjusting her hat. From beneith the brim of it, she looked over at the guy from the bar again. She had a couple of questions for him like what a kid was doing at this club at this time of the night but she figured he'd volunteer the information. They almost always did. Guys tended to give out information about themselves to her thinking that she would let them closer or something, weather the information was true or false.
Tessa switched up her dancing style. Sure, she was showing off but it was fun to play at least a little. Although her dancing had been slightly flirty before, she now did it consciously to tease the viewers, whomever they may have been. Her bracelets flashed as the lights that were movign about the room hit them so did her earrings, her rings and belly button piercing. Her sunglasses had been slipped into her back pocket earlier a couple of dances ago. The belly button piercing was a jem with a small chain hanging down ending in a silver butterfly, the movemnts of her body causing it to look like the butterfly was dancing too.
She shot a look over in Illidan's direction then grinned again before turning, the look and grin meant to tell him that she was playing with him in particular and not just trying to grab the attention of the other guys... Although there was plenty of that going on. In fact, another guy had already become her dancing partner, having moved in where he had found an empty spot in front of her. It wasn't unexpected, she tended to get dancing partners pretty quickly.
"Hey, my name's Ron." The guy introduced himself to her as they danced. "So, you here by yourself or you got a man?" He asked. <Oh ho, looks like we've got a bold one. Goes straight for the question.> She thought, giving a little laugh. The laugh could have either been seen as her being reluctant to answer the question or her being shy... Ron apparently took it as her being shy, moving in a little closer. "Anyone ever tell you you look really hot in that outfit?" He asked as they continued to dance.
As his hand touched her butt she slapped it away, giving a little bit of a mean grin. "Has anyone ever told you that touching a stranger's butt can get you really messed over? You should like go find someone else to be grabing up on." She stated before turning to the next person near her and continuing on with the dancing. She heard a couple of people laugh at the guy as he was shot down like that.
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
Illidan watched amused as she shot the brave one down. Not used to being the one getting teased, Illidan danced pretending not to notice Tessa, oh but he noticed her, every movement, every heart-beat, the smell of her blood, it was enough to drive him insane, but he was a sly hunter, he would get the prey to come to him, and yet, he had no intention of drinking from her, he just enjoyed looking at things in a way he understood a bit more. She was teasing him, trying to get him to play his ace while she could keep hers hidden, but Illidan didn't have one ace, he had all four. He 'accidently' brushed against her, his body releasing pheramones as commanded by the part of his vampiric mind that ran his body functions. The pheramones where bought, but they were real, human, pheramones.
Illidan was suddenly getting more attention so he did the 'male' thing and tried to please the prettiest of all the girls on the floor. They danced, Illidan making sure that Tessa was aware of every move he made, he wanted her to realize, if only subconciously, that he was teasing her too. The girl he was dancing with was bland and uninteresting, a rich girl who liked to go to the hip clubs and spend her daddy's money. Illidan tripped her slyly and she fell, disgraced she left the club hurriedly. Illidan looked around, there were a circle of girls just waiting to dance with him, he stood in a pensive pose and looked at Tessa out of the corner of his eye, shooting her a look that expressed just how bad he wanted to 'get to know her better'. He figured thats what a living guy would do.
Illidan turned to Tessa, moving closer to her and allowing one of his hands to rest lightly on her side, asking permission, while he spoke to her over the music, apply some preternatural charm to his voice, "Fancing running into you again." He said jokingly and taking an overly theatrical bow, "May I have this dance?"
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
The other guys in the club were becoming more and more boring, bringing her attention towards the boy from the bar... Bringing her attention to the guy who had introduced himself as Illidan. The way he had looked over at her made her laugh a little, shaking her head. To some it would seem like she was laughing at the girl who had just fallen and made even more of a spectical of herself by running off after that little thing but Tessa had a feeling that Illidan would know she was directing both the laughter and the amused shake of the head towards the message he tried to send through that 'get to know you better' look.
He came closer, having turned towards her and as one of his hands touched her side, she looked down at it before lookin gback up at his face as if asking for an explaination while at the same time just being teasing about it. "Fancing running into you again. May I have this dance?" The bow caused her to chuckle a little but his approach was at least something new compared to the list of others she had come across in the time she had been DJing. That was enough for her to give him a chance and not just shoot him down right there.
"Yeah, a fancy isn't it? You'd think with a dance floor this big and with all these people, we would have been on opposite ends of the club by now." She joked lightly. "Sure, we can dance. But don't expect anything else out of it." She stated with a wink. There would be no harm in dancing with him, she thought. That was what she was here for; to do her job, which was done now, and to have a little time to enjoy herself before she would go home and most likely go to sleep.
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)"Sure, we can dance. But don't expect anything else out of it."
"I wouldn't think of it." He winked back, I'm not really into that 'other stuff' anyway. He though amusedly ((is that a word?)). As the song played out and his body reacted subconciously he tried to think of something to say, but it became painfully aware that there was nothing to say, and then he noticed he was dancing, so he focused more on the song and on Tessa and less on witty conversation and suddenly he was enjoying himself once more. If his dancing was good when he was worrying about what to say it was great now that he was really feeling it. Dance steps that were once empty motions suddenly made sense as he saw the way the music dictated its every motion.
"Incroiable..." He murmered with this realization. He hands allowing themselves to rest comfertable on her waist and shoulders as dictated by the music. His body step and moving around hers in a rythmic and seemingly ancient pattern. It was the human equivilent of a mating ritual, and like all human things it had become corrupt and unimportant because of the effort required. He, as an immortal, however, saw it differently, he began to realize there were no bad dancers, just people who found a strange message in the music. This thought of messages made his eyes wonder along her body until they met hers, he did not try to charm her with his unnatural abilities, no, he merely looked into her eyes, his own eyes so strange in the way they seem to reflect light off in a different color, giving his normally silver eyes now almost platinum with little slivers of green.
He felt a desire to kiss her, but that was probably the romantic frenchman that lived inside him, plus all the movies he had seen to catch up with the times. Instead the dancing finished and they left the dance floor together. He smiled at her, "I'm amazed, your still here." He realized that soon they would be parting to return to their respective homes, however, suddenly the Institute didn't look all that appealing, unless she lived there too...Feeling bold he asked, "Where is home for you, exactly, I'd like to walk you there, at the very least." He realized Tessa might have driven her, but he imagined she got his point.
((Well I gave it my best, hopefully this should be enough, I am mighty tired right now, but I shall not rest until you have a good post to work with.))
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)
He was a good ds wandered, his hands seemed to be traveling over her his hands seemed to be behaving themselves, staying put on her waist and neither rising up to try to cop a feel or lowering to try to touch her butt. That scored him a few points, causing her not to just wander off to the next dancing partner. He had interesting eyes, she noticed that as their gazed met and locked. Definately not a color that a lot of people were running around with.
She had seen the look in enough guys minds to know what it was, he wanted to kiss her. She wondered if he was going to do what most men seemed to do and try to kiss her, ending the dancing and ending up wiht a slap across his face or being pushed away with a disagreeable comment given to him from her. There was a few seconds where the decision making lasted through before he seemed to choose to keep from acting upon his urges. This brought a small smile from her.
"I'm amazed, your still here." Illidan stated as they walked off of the dancefloor. "Well, you were good dancer and you kept yourself in control. Pretty rare to have the combination in a dancing partner these days." She replied with a smirk. It was true.
"Where is home for you, exactly, I'd like to walk you there, at the very least." He asked her. This rewarded him with a raise of a brow and a little laugh befor she shook her head. "I don't need to be walked, I've got a motorcycle. Don't make a habit of telling people where I live anyway. Tell you what though.." She pulled out a card and handed it to him. "This is the club I usually work at and that number's to rent me out as a DJ for parties. It's not my number though in case you're wondering." She told him.
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open) "This is the club I usually work at and that number's to rent me out as a DJ for parties. It's not my number though in case you're wondering."
"And here I was beginning to think you might actually like me." He said with mock anguish. "Ah such is the life I lead." He took the card and examined it, the adress and number instantly memorized, though he continued to look it over for a few moments before placing it in his wallet. "I guess you can't always get the girl, right?" He smiled. He had toned out the music by now, focusing more on the conversation. "I should've known you drive a motorcycle."
Illidan looked down at his hands, they still looked pink and alive, but he was getting colder, he would need to drink soon. "If you ever feel like seeing me," he paused, she seemed like an open enough person, who could apprichiate someone being straight foward and honest, "drop by the Xavier Institute after sun down, I'm usually walking the grounds there." He put a slight emphasis on the 'after sun down' part.
"And here I was beginning to think you might actually like me... Ah such is the life I lead." Tessa gave a chuckle and a small shake of her head before giving a look of mock pity at his acting all hurt about it. She knew he was playing. "I guess you can't always get the girl, right?" He commented after looking over the card she had given him and tucking it away in a pocket.
<No, the guy can't always get the girl. Especially if the girl happens to be named Tessa O'Meara.> She thought with a grin while they walked to where she had parked her motorcycle. "I should've known you drive a motorcycle." Illidan commented. "Well, of course. What else would I ride?" She joked lightly, picking up her helmet from where it still hung from the handle of the bike.
"If you ever feel like seeing me, drop by the Xavier Institute after sun down, I'm usually walking the grounds there." The comment he made was met with a raised brow and a curious look. She had heard about Xavier Institute, having overheard people talking about going there but never gave it a second thought, assuming that it was some sort of school. She even knew where the place was. But it was mostly him speaking about her dropping by after sundown that graed her attention.
"Sundown? What happens then?" She asked.
((OOC- this is taking place before Tessa lears about what really goes on in the Xavier Institute and before she goes to live there. Mebbe Illidan can run into her there.))
Re: Illidan's After-life After-party (Open)"Sundown? What happens then?" She asked, almost innocently.
"That's when I come out to play." He replied cooly. He lifted a now pale white hand to one of the lights above the bar. The blood he had had earlier was all used up and now he was pale and white as marble, and cold to the touch, but the relative darkness of the club made it hard to notice. He smiled, allowing his slightly elongated canines to flash for just a moment, long enough for her to notice them, but fast enough that she'd pass it off as seeing things. "Well I must be going. Oh, and, if you think your motorcycle is fast, try and keep up with me."
He walked past her and to the door, stopping for a moment to beckon her before heading out. Outside in the cool darkness with only the light of the moon shining on him Illidan entered his element, suddenly he seemed to glow faintly, and his unnaturally graceful movements becoming a little more noticable. He waited in the street, just beyond the pools of light made by the street lights. He knew Tessa would come out for no other reason then to get on her bike and ride home.
