This morning when we woke up, we found our bird, Petey, had passed sometime during the night. We had taken him in as a favor to a friend, and he's been with us for the past 3 years. It was apparent that he had been abused in the past, but we were trying very hard to work with him and he was getting better. He would talk and dance when you snapped your fingers.
He will be missed
(this isn't an actual picture of Petey, but it looks JUST like him)

Awwww Tash, I'm so sorry. How old was he, do you know? I've always loved Macaws. If I remember correctly, they can live to be well over a hundred years old. That's so sad to lose a beloved pet. My thoughts are with you and the kids.

Awwww!! I'm so sorry!! I cant even imagine what it must be like to lose a beloved pet. I know that my own pet, Phoebe- a greyhound/white lab mix- will pass on eventually, but I still cant even begin to know how you must feel. My condolences.
Just my 2 cents. Take it or toss it into the fountain. Either way, there ya have it.
Why is stupidity only painful to those of us who aren't idiots?
Get outta my world!

im sorry to hear about ur bird, its always sad to lose a beloved friend. And sometimes, our pets just make the best friends we could ever have. Well at least now he's on the other side, happy and looking out for you. I have 2 dogs of my own, and i can't even imagine what life will be like without them, not even one of them
P.S. Poisonous Fantasies, lol u kinda gave me a shock(ok not really hehe, but it was a surprise), coz u called ur pet Phoebe, and thats my name hehe.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to lose a pet. Here's a nice way to help with the transition and help a beloved pet on his or her way. Light a brown candle. Brown is the color for animal magick. Spend some quiet time in reflection and tell him how much you loved him, all the joy he brought to your family, and how much he will be missed. When a life is extinguished inside your home (even if you killed a fern) it is always nice to acknowledge the passing and help send the spirit on its way. Even though this is a "haunted" castle, it's a good idea to keep our homes as clean as possible.
