Info about Rock am Ring / Rock im Park
The German double festival Rock am Ring / Rock im Park has announced its first band for the upcoming year.
The festival will for the first time NOT be held during the whitsunday-weekend. Due to the formula 1 race that is being held at the venue of the Nürburgring during that weekend, the organizers had no other choice than to move the event to a week later. This has the added benefit, that the festival will not be held in the same weekend as the Dutch festival Pinkpop, which will still be held during the whitsunday-weekend.
Rock am Ring / Rock im Park will be held from friday 4 untill sunday 6 June.
The organizers announced a double headline bill with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and German mega-punk act Die Toten Hosen.
Other bands that have been added are Faithless, Muse, KoRn, Finnish newcomers The Rasmus, Metal legends Motörhead and another up and coming German band Wir Sind Helden.
