Inspecting...
Having been in the kind of work she was in for so long, Kichi Etsu Kameko knew how to work her way aound being detected by survaillence cameras and in some cases lazer detection devices. As she walked now, she concentrated on changing her pigments with every movement to match the background as she walked towards the large stone wall that surrounded the property. The night was her advantage, the ground being dark and her shadow being non-existant. Being bare-foot and lacking any clothing did have its advantages... It made less chance of sound. She didn't need clothes anyway, not having anything to show. As she climbed up the side of the wall, pressingher body to the stone as she made her way over it and down the other side, she thought about how the job had first been brought to her attention.
-Saturday March 10th -
Gecko, I am willing to give you a very good price for the job I am about to ask you to take for me.I promise you that it will be an offer hard to pass up. I need information about a place that has been an object of my attention for a while now and one that I have the feeling has been hiding much from the public eye. Usually I don't deal with people like you so I am finding it a little strange to be contacting you like this but you were suggested to me and brought to my attention by a reliable source and frankly I have limited options on who I can get to do the job right. The meeting will be in Central Park, next to the lake and at 2:30am.
Obvousely she had gone to meet the person otherwise she wouldb't be here sneaking into this place. She had gotten the information abotut his address and at seeing the bountiful amount of money the person was offering, agreed without too much hesitation. She had two months to find out what she needed to... More than enough time.. That's what she thought anyway. She already had rumors to go by... All she needed to do was to find out if the rumors she had collected along the way were true or not.
Kichi stood up from the ground on the other side of the stone wall now, making sure her pigmentation was like it needed to be for her to be her least detetable. As she made her way towards the building, she decided being lower to the ground would be better so she belly crawled the rest of the way. There was a lot higher security than she had expected of a place like this... That only made her more curious to what she might find out. Once she reached the mansion itself, she stuck to the shadows so her own shadow would be hidden.
Moisture was collected on her skin from the grass so she had to pause for a little bit to try to wipe all of it off, crawling up the wall al little so not to be keeping her feet on the wet grass. After wiping the moisture off her body, Kichi crawled further up the wall, heading towards a window someone had left open. A smirk came to her lips.... This would be too easy... They might as well have left the door open... But that thought was neglecting the fact that they possably didn't expect any wall-crawlers to be invading. Quickly, she made her way through the open window then up the inner wall and to the ceiling as she heard someone comeing around the corner of the hall.
She pressed her body as close as she could against the ceiling, concentrating on making herself blend into the tiles and at the same time, glaring at the ceiling light that was closer than she would have been comfortable with.

Kichi mentally cursed as the guy had picked up the piece of plaster and as he looked up. She tensed as he looked closer and then again mentally cursed at herself as he spoke to her. She didn't know what to do for a second, not having expected to be caught and if so, not this soon... And seeing that her means of escape was not really good due to he fact that this guy was in the way, she knew she would either have to move fast or think of something else...
She decided to try the first action... Not giving up on making her body blend in with the surface she was on, Kichi threw herself to the side, ending up on the wall and blending into it before trying to make her way to the window.

Uh huh, this wasn't right. A student would likely answer him with a shamefaced appology. He watched the shadow sitting still for a long moment. He let a charge fill the card, not enough to glow brilliantly quite yet. He watched the shadow then move further down the ceiling to perch on the wall besie him. Remy moved like he was going to leave and then sprung back to grab at where the person would be who was throwing that shadow. He pulled the handful of person toward him, trying not to break them but to not let them escape either.
"Well now, since I have you, perhaps you would be more inclined to tell me the truth as to who you are and what you are doing here. I would suggest you tell me the truth as unfortunately, we have a lot of people her who can tell me whether you are telling me the truth or not. So, it is up to you whether you want to do this the hard way or the easy way."

As her arm was grabbed, Kichi made a small yell and turned stark white for a moment before going to her natural gray and as she was pulled away from the wall and towards the guy, she pulled her pads back into her hands and feet and stepped onto the floor, looking at him with widened eyes.
"Well now, since I have you, perhaps you would be more inclined to tell me the truth as to who you are and what you are doing here. I would suggest you tell me the truth as unfortunately, we have a lot of people her who can tell me whether you are telling me the truth or not. So, it is up to you whether you want to do this the hard way or the easy way."
Kichi thought quickly, for once relying on rumors even though she didn't know if they were true or not. " I am new to here! Very new! Please don't hurt me.. I just am so ashamed of this!" She spoke quicly, gesturing at her body from bottom to top with her free hand and making herself look like she was about to cry. " No one knows I am here.. I just heard about this place and wanted to know if there really was a place for people like me.." She continued, letting tears come to her eyes.
" I just wanted to find out for real... And I still don't know... I didn't know what to do when you scared me like you did so I tried to run... You are not going to hit me now that you see me like this?" She lied and acted as if she were terrified of getting struck. " Please let go.." She asked timidly.

Rather surprised at the change of colors as he pulled this ... person away from the wall as he couldn't yet tell the sex, he almost let go but instead he managed to keep his grip. If there was one thing Remy learned in all of his many years and an X-Men, it was telepaths are better judges of character than the best trained thief. Even so, he generally assumed that people knocked on the door when they wanted to find out about a place rather than skulk around the ceilings.
The best lie of course began with the truth and he also knew that. He had to lie his way out of more than one tense situation in his life and he knew the way to do it that it sounded most believable. It was hard to lie to a liar and hard to steal from a thief. She sounded good but there was still that nugget of doubt that sat like a lead weight in his belly, "Well, if you are who you say you are, then we will find out straight away."
Keeping his hand on the girl's arm, he pulled her with him back toward the way he had come, to Jean's office. He knew she would be able to tell him whether she was a prospective student or an intruder. There were too many innocent people here that could be hurt by an intruder for him to take a chance. "Just you behave and we well have you straightened out as soon as possible."

Kichi's eyes widened again as he began pulling her down the hall by the arm he held captive in his hand. She didn't think this was going to be at all good for her.
" Oh crap what am I supposed to do now.. I don't know where this guy's taking me and if I get caught then my mission's definately failed... Nevermind what might happen to me if they find out the truth..." She muttered to herself in Japanese.
< I've failed before but those times, I wasn't caught literally... I was just spotted and had to make a quick exit... Well, at least I found out a little something.. He didn't laugh at me when I told him that story so there's the possability the rumors about this place are true..> She thought.
" Where are you taking me? Are you going to try to lock me up someplace? I do not do locking up... Let go. You shouldn't grab anyone like that." She said quickly in English. " I do not feel comfortable... They way you hold me makes me nervous..." She stated. She was getting nervous but not just because she had her arm in some stranger's hold but because she didn't want to get into any deeper of a situation than she already had gotten into. She didn't know what would be done to her if the people here were to find out she was hired to grab up information and that she wasn't really there looking to be with people like her...
People like her... Kichi had never really thought about if she wanted to know what it was like not to be the only different one... She shook her head quickly then with a sudden jerk of her arm, got loose of his grip and moved away from him a couple of steps. " I'll go without being dragged... Just no locking me anywhere.." She said, deciding against running in case he had friends nearby. The last thing she needed was for things to get violent with more than just one or two people.
Her mind even when plotting on ways to get out of the situation she was in, still seemed to linger on the topic of Mutants. The topic of what it might be like to not feel like she was a reject amongst so many normal people. < This is no time to be thiking about this!> She thought.

Sighing deeply, Remy stopped and looked at the girl who he had by the arm. She certainly was odd looking he would have to say. Not exactly the type you saw everyday, not quite as a stand out as Kurt but it was right up there. "I am not going to lock you up if you are who you say you are. If you are not who you say you are then we will have to decide what to do with you."
As she jerked away, his eyes narrowed dangerously behind the dark tint of his sunglasses. "Little girly, you are not doing a lot to instill my faith in your words. You don't want to be dragged fine, but I am not going to let you get away, understand? I am a lot faster than I look. You walk down these stairs right here an I will walk behind you right where I can grab you if you try to get away, I wouldn't want that now. Just head to that door right there, you doing real fine now."
Remy stayed right behind her, ready to grab her at any moment.

She tried to hide her uneasiness on the second part of what he had said, her mind wandering on different things that might happen.... But there wasn't much of a way for them to find out, right? That's what she was thinking anyway. Of course, Kichi didn't have any experience with telepaths.

Kichi looked over her shoulder as she walked, looking at him with cement-colored eyes. " I told you I would go with you." She spke before looking in front of herself again and following his directions. While she walked, she tried to think of ways to get out of this predicament. The whole situation was making her uneasy....

Keeping his long stride short to keep in step and as close to this person as he could, he walked behind her right up until they came to Jean's door. She was trapped between Remy's body and the door itself.
Reaching over her shoulder to give a light rap on the door, he waited for Jean's for to give them entry before he opened the door.

Re: Inspecting..." I never know the name of the people who send me anywhere. Sometimes I don't even get to see their faces." She said in all honesty, her nerves making her speak the words quickly though. It was true... Most of her meetings with her different employers were under shady situations. Sometimes the people there weren't even the same people who had hired her but an employee or lackey or something.
" I was hired to be here. I was hired to come here and find out what goes on in this place. He told me the address and said that he had some suspicions that he wanted to get information on... So he'd know for sure." She told him, her back just getting more and more tense as she continued.
" That's all... I wasn't sent here for anything else. I don't know anything about this place.. Yes I heard rumors but that doesn't mean I believe them all. I won't tell him anything. I'll tell him I decline the offer..." She said, her words growing softer and softer as she spoke.
An eyebrow quirked over the upper edge of the glasses perched on the man's nose. He sighed and shook his head and continued on in that easy Bayou drawl he had. "You know, you don't have to do these things. You could have a home if you wanted one. It ain't none of my business of course and you might even want to go back to your boss and tell him everything I said to you. Not much to say though. The way I figure, this job's a bust and this line of work puts your neck on the line just a little too much. My advice is to hang up your cloak and dagger and just live a life worth living for a change without having to worry if someone is following you or saw you or if you gonna get caught, course you don't have to take the word of just thief. There's always a place you can go."
Remy grasped the edge of his glasses and pulled them down over the end of his nose so she could see his eyes glow red for a moment, "You know what I mean, all of us here understand you. If you do decide to let this little confidence that I have given you, slip to the person who hired you for this, I will be able to find you. I have touched you and that will allow me to find you anywhere in this world, you got me? You seem like a nice girl, would be a shame for you not to come home."
Remy turned around and stuck his hands in his pockets and walked to the stairs, "Oh, by the way that lady in there is the head mistress to talk to her if you wanna stay."
He turned again and started whistling Jambalya as he took the stairs two at a time.

" I want to know something...." She added before managing to catch up to him. " I need more time to think about this... About everything... She wasn't worried about the 'can find you anywhere anytime' message or if it were a threat or not. She had gotten threats before.

" I might just do that..." She replied with a smile. " Well we have things to do and places to go and maybe I will see you again! No offense taken and no feelings hurt!" She chattered in rapid Japanese. " Okay-a!" She added in English, giving a double thumbs up before she jumpped onto the wall and went past him to the top of the stairway. She gave another look back before taking on the pattern of the wall and doorway then slipped into the hall she had first come into. The window was still open so she used that as an exit. It was more of habit than anything that she used the same way of leaving as she had used to get there she was, trying to be stealthy about it due to not knowing if that guy would get in trouble for letting her go or not.
Once she was on the other side of those large stone walls again, Kichi just walked away, thinking over what had happened there and what might happen in the future... She would need to bring the money back to the man she had been employed by but there came the worry of what might happen if she did... And what would happen if she didn't give him the money or he information.. Well, she had two months to think that over, she thought. For now, she would think over other things... Like if she would really take up that coal-eyed man's offer. No one had really told her that before... That there were people who understood her... Sure, her mother seemed to understand her but that was only to a point... Her mother could never really understand her... But.. Was Kichi ready to do this kind of thing? To give up on the type of life that she had had for over half a decade?
Shaking her head, she just continued walking.. She would definately need some time.....
