Introduction to the local Night Life
Sunday 25th March - 9.30pm

The phone call, it turned out, was fairly brief. He had perhaps hoped to hear more of her voice, but never mind, he would see her tonight, and although he was pretty sure he lacked the flirting experience that the subject of his latest experience had, he was still playing his own game. After all, he could have agreed on the spot that morning to come along with the group tonight. But no, he had dared to put off phoning her until nearly quarter to seven. The message had been fairly simple but there was certainly no disappointment in the young woman’s voice over his coming, and that alone was enough to raise any doubts he had.

It was times like these he wish he could explain to Hannah that they were good friends. Only good friends, nothing more. He didn’t even want to consider looking at her as more! She was like a kid sister to him, but she had acted more like his mother when he said he wouldn’t be around that evening. Wes had received the third degree when he mentioned it, except without questions, the silent respect between them still there, nor was it as sever. Even so, he knew she was disappointed in him. He had let her down that morning, and now this evening as well. But he was more angry at her for that then upset. So he had ended up guilt tripping her.

It was rare for the pair to have fights, rarer still for them to leave the air sour between them. But when Wes had played the ‘I don’t get to live a normal life like you. Give me a break and stop trying to control me like everyone else’ card, the young truth teller had bordered on tears. How dare he ever say that to her! She was deflated, and had left him alone after that, retreating to her room. Wes, of course, felt some guilt. But the full blow of it would hit him later, when he realised what he’d done, that it wasn’t worth putting their friendship on the line for this wouldn’t come till the following morning. But for now he was determined to enjoy himself, no matter how much of a stick in the mud his kid-friend was going to be.

His choice of clothes was perhaps more limited than some, considering he was only visiting, but he soon found what he wanted, something he deemed smart and casual, exactly what he had earlier wanted. Though not quite what he’d planned. He had originally been thinking about wearing either a white or light blue shirt, but then another caught his eye. He had even remembered packing it. Not something he wore regularly. Even so, it was perfect for tonight in his eyes, and he was one of the few people who could successfully pull of this without looking ridiculous.

So it was that he arrived a little early, a minute or two before half nine, in the quiet of the front hall, wearing his crimson red shirt, untucked with the top button couple of buttons undone, smart black trousers and equally smart shoes. But it didn’t look overly smart, which was always a bonus. As par usual, he had spent a good 20 minutes rearranging his hair, till the carefully arranged spikes were lightly gelled, and in his eyes anyway, quite fetching. He lent against the banister as he waited patiently for the other’s to arrive, wondering who exactly would be there. The red of the shirt seemed to bring out the blue in his eyes better, bright but soft, he watched the occasional student wander through, some heading out for the night it seemed, and others just using it as a corridor.

He felt surprisingly relaxed surprisingly, his thumbs resting boredly in his pockets, one lightly burshing over the wallet. He had no idea how much money he would need tonight so he had taken a good amount, and of course had his cards on him as well if needed, though he preferred not to use them in case the government were keeping an eye out for any suspicious use of his card.

The cuffs of his shirt were left open, which meant that the tattoo on his wrist, only partially hidden by his watch strap, would be visible at times but for once he wasn’t worried. Despite his hatred for it, he could understand that there was also a ‘cool’ factor to the simple design, so delicately and expertly detailed and coloured, but not over the top like some. Plus, if the need arose, he could keep a close eye on it. Depending on how his emotions went tonight, he wasn’t one hundred percent sure he could keep control of his power, and although he naturally produced the antidote to the poison his body created he didn’t trust it.

As well as his wallet, he of course had his mobile, and he was tempted to ring Lara again to make sure that he was right about when to meet up. But then again, that would seem clingy, uncertain. No, he would wait, sure they would come along soon. Of course, the girl’s number was already stored in it’s memory. A smile played on his lips at the thought of the teenage girl at breakfast, wondering if her night wear was any… ‘nicer’ than her day wear.

Of course, in a round-a-bout fashion that brought him to thinking about the group in general. Max Chadstone, youngest son of Steven and Penny Chadstone. The invisibility mutant hadn’t been surprised how easy it was to pull up information about the influential family. After all, if he remembered the name then there must be plenty of information out there on them. Max had quite the reputation about him it seemed, but nothing that Wes thought more of than to raise an eyebrow out. Of course, some of the news sites he had found had pictures of him and with Lara as well. The other two in the little group were less commonly seen, if at all. He knew nothing about them but really it didn’t bother the agent. This wasn’t a mission and he was merely satisfying some of his curiosity.

He shook his head lightly in thought, glancing briefly at his watch. He hadn’t been there anywhere as near as long as he’d thought. But oh well. All he had to do was wait, to put in his presence. Everything else was arranged apparently. He was a guest, it was just his job to enjoy. And he was determined to do just that.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
In this little three ring circus that so many seemed to call a school, He was still a virtual unknown. Just under a week present, so far Mark was neither popular or otherwise. The newcomer was merely another unfamiliar face lost among the crowd. Social standings suffered because of his desire to avoid this whole new change of setting. His class attendance record was meager if not virtually non-existing, add that with a spite fueled disdain for the very institute itself, and it's fairly easy to explain his whole situation.

In the past few days however, that spite seems to have died down a slight bit. Enough so that entire days weren't wasted in strange and unfamiliar places. Trip, as a few so far knew him, had even begun attending classes on occasion. More specifically Physics classes. It was an interest far from scholastic in nature, it more closely verged along the lines of a twisted desire than anything else. That however was a completely different matter. Incidentally though, it was after one of Mrs. Grey's classes that he and a certain Chadstone first crossed paths. After another classmate unintentionally bumped Trip, Max was left witness to a form of cruelty more mental and mocking than anything he was known for. After that getting along seemed to come naturally, both having found humor in that display of mistreatment. That was why quite recently Mark had become the latest addition to this little venture. He wasn't overly excited, or even really remotely for that matter. Partying was something he'd have likely done on his own anyway. It was the ride that mattered, something he currently lacked. His two beloved motorcycles being elsewhere. Obviously he wasn't going ignore such an offer. To him, in whole it was a rather fair deal. Their ride for his presence. If anything, they were getting the better end of such a deal. Besides, if worse came to worse he could always ditch them when things get too boring. Although it wasn't likely, at least not with himself around to keep things lively.

Truthfully, the young mutant hadn't a clue what to expect of these people. Trip did live a rather high maintenance lifestyle. As any could see by the fine black pinstriped suit he had decided to wear, despite the fact there was a partially hidden T-shirt thrown under it. Those along with most of his possessions were at the expense of parents that didn't necessarily have that money in the first place. For that reason, Trip was almost envious of Max at first. He definitely would have been hadn't they seemed so like minded in the few aspects he had seen. As for these friends, they were still a mystery. If they were anything like their friend, this whole night could actually be worth it all. Unfortunately, he couldn't make that assumption, so Trips hopes would remain low for now. Far from an optimistic person, he always had and always would expect the worst in any situation. Expect the worst, and hope for the best. But then again, hope was generally futile..

As he ever so nonchalantly strolled through doors and into the main hall, Trip didn't appear to have a care in the world. It was a decieving calm that he quite frequently seemed to display. Each of his steps were accompanied by a light jingling sound the chains that adorned his belt, they clinked and clattered with every worthy movement. His normal wild black hair was left rather untamed, an intentional styling contrary to its appearance. It didn't take long before he had taken notice of someone whom already appeared to be waiting. What for was just the matter. "You heading to Dying Star too?" Came a short simple question. As cliche as it may sound, there was no need for an interduction. If he wasn't going, then obviously this person wasn't someone he needed to know. Just like most of the other students.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
Hands rested behind the youth on the banister, watching the world pass him by, soft blue eyes quiet, thoughtful. But also with a mild hint of mischief in them. Nature wouldn’t necessarily drive him into this group’s direction. He wasn’t a bully type. But, he was an 18 year old male who wanted to fit in. And he didn’t really care who with. After all, he rarely got to socialise with those around his own age. And the fact that at least one of the girls was very good looking did nothing to dissuade the young man.

But he was getting bored of the waiting. Wes hated waiting. Impatience and womanising. Two of the key personality traits he had inherited off his father. But the former had hardly be practiced in the later years of the young man, and certainly nothing beyond a stolen kiss in the back seat at the cinema. Still, the natural way was there, and could only be helped by his natural seeming gift for charm, when he wasn’t nervous, and the fact that he certainly was not an eye-sore. Wes would never be as big a womaniser as his father though, and he vowed to himself that he would never cheat on anyone. Sure, it wasn’t that which had split his parents up, but it was just as bad.

"You heading to Dying Star too?" The young agent’s eyes turned towards the other young male at the words, just to confirm that is was indeed him he was talking to. The male before him was sharply dressed, despite the t-shirt. Wes wasn’t sure if he was under dressed in comparison but he didn’t feel it. Hands lowered slowly so his thumbs tucked into the pockets of his black trousers, causing the edge of the crimson shirt to raise a little, crumbling slightly but not enough to crease around his thumbs.

The question it’s self threw up a number of problems for the young agent. The foremost was what was the Dying Star? Lara had failed to give him the name of the place this party was supposedly being held. Of course, that also meant he didn’t know the actual answer to the question, which made life somewhat more difficult. Too implied that this young man was also heading there. Now, did that mean he was part of Max’s group but hadn’t been there that morning for breakfast, or did it mean it was ‘just’ another guest of the infamous Chadstone?

”That would depend..” He started honestly, pulling a little away from the banister to stand up straight. ”…entirely on what the Dying Star is. Assuming it’s the place Chadstone and his group are headed, then yes I am”It seemed the easiest way to say things. Referring to people by their last name wasn’t an uncommon trait in the young man. Most of his fellow agents were referred to by nearly exclusively their last name (though some, such as Smith and Jones might be extended to first names at times) and he had quickly picked up the habit. Of course, sometimes you just didn’t know the last name. Or he tended to call women by their first name. Like Lara. He liked that one.

His eyes turned towards the doors briefly, then down to his watch in quiet through for a moment, though barely a glance was given to the time piece. Time always passed too slowly when waiting for someone, though he guessed that their host for the evening would be round shortly, unless he decided to do that annoying fashionably late thing. In which case Wes might actually be reduced to giving the girl a ring. He wasn’t sure how it was working, and assumed that she’d be with him, not that she’d actually be waiting at the club ahead of them. She had promised plenty of girls, and although there was a part of him which found the offer highly attractive, he only had one goal for now. A stolen kiss from Lara. Tame, perhaps, to some of the guys. But even the smallest things could be fun really.

”I’m Wesley Fawkes” He offered after a few moments, not sure for a moment whether to lift a hand in a greeting handshake or not. But there was no outward signs of this inward struggle as he decided against it. If the other thought him rude well… so be it. But 18, waiting to go to a party, he was sure shaking hands wasn’t high on the to do list. It had been a while since he’d been able t mingle like this, and he preferred to come off as rude than overly polite, he decided finally, leaning back against the banister, wondering how many more unexpected guests might be arriving. Or even if Max Chadstone remembered this additional guest, seeing as it had been Lara who’d invited him.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
Being patient and attentive weren't virtues that were practiced all that often. Although Trip had waited just long enough for this person realize where that question was directed. Once attention had been garnered, Mark glanced elsewhere, taking the time to survey the room. Surroundings however weren't the only thing he had eyed. Some of the occasional passersby, a group of three fairly attractive girls to be specific, took claim to his focus. It was a gaze that lasted mere seconds, and just as the girls exited, Trips calm and collective gaze found it's way back just in time to catch the reply. However it didn't stay long, as it was more of a gesture meant to show that he was still giving this person some attention. He too took a lean against the wall, although several feet away. It was a personal preference, opting not to be within a close range of those unfamiliar. Although with all of his confidence, often which he seemed to convey through expression alone, made him seem like an elitist of some sort. While crossing his arms, Trip took notice of one single strand of hair that rested on his sleeve. He plucked it, calmly listening to the reply before allowing the hair to fall to the floor.

”That would depend… entirely on what the Dying Star is. Assuming it’s the place Chadstone and his group are headed, then yes I am”

Chadstone. The person had referred to Max by surname. Trip had heard a few others do so, but not in the manner this was spoken. The others referenced had with his full name. Almost as if it were important for some reason. Mark didn't follow which families were wealthy and who was who.. It wasn't important. But, this incident was different, it was a commonly used system of human organization. A small detail that most wouldn't likely have been even remotely bothered by. Some possibly wouldn't even notice. But, Trip was quite familiar with the practice. LeFaye.. That was his name for six years. Six years of what should have been a childhood. It was a lower form of government that recognized him by his last name first, but technically government none the less. Juvenile detention to be more exact. Someone being referred to like that didn't bother him so much as it did stir up a curiosity. There were a number of possibilities for someone using such terms, so he couldn't quite guess. Maybe later he'd bring up. But, for now it'd be tossed into the depths of his mind.

Curiosity had managed to secure Trip's concentration for the better now. He offered up a small nod, acknowledging the assumption Wes had made to be correct. Though the words in whole made Trip wondering just why this person would have agreed to go somewhere without really knowing what he was getting into. Were he and Chadstone.. as he had called him, that close? To the point that he'd just trust him like that. Perhaps he desperately sought approval? Mark loved to judge people, it was something he did quite frequently. He like to have them mentally pegged and categorized as soon as possible. To figure their expectations, their thoughts, and most importantly their weaknesses. It's a power thing really. Him always preferring to keep some sort of leverage over others. Mark was very cerebral person at times, although he rarely let that be known.

"I’m Wesley Fawkes”

That incited a smile, one that verged ever so closely to a snicker. It was humorous how formal that had sounded, and Trip's remark, in it's slightly sarcastic nature let that be known. "Wesley.. ?" Already, Trip was being a bit critical. In his own opinion, that was such a horrible name. Why he'd want to introduce himself like that was beyond him. It made him sound like a complete dork. Going by demeanor, and appearance alone, Trip hadn't thought he was that much of one. His thoughts were almost always negative, but could in fact be a whole lot worse than this. "Well Wesssley.." The emphasis on the name, his mischievous grin still displayed, though the cruel sarcasm was gone. " ..Call me Trip." He himself didn't offer a handshake either. Trip didn't shake hands. Not because it was stupid or uncool, it was another power thing.. He had a lot of those.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
The halls rushed by the trio, students half stepping half shoved aside as Max, Mark and Lara dashed down the halls with an air of urgency and excitement. It wasn’t often lately they’d spend time together and while Tony backed out of the night (Hannah and he had other plans that Hannah refused to alter) the rest spent the last two hours and a bit working themselves up. Max had been far from his social self and Lara was hardly going to get out there in public and be seen with the guy if his frown would drag along the ground with them. Unlike others unrelated to his family, Lara was close enough entwined into the Chadstone’s household to know most of what occurred and she just figured he’d got another beating or shouting that wore Max down. Which, in Lara’s opinion, was hardly worth ruining the night for the rest of them.

A few light beers and the trio were reviving old tales of fun times past, which corny as may seem, usually involved them planning or making bets on who could do what first or things that they’d randomly do for attention. Last time Lara had to work up some middle aged sleaze, which Lara coaxed onto the dance floor and then started a scene soon into it after she excited him enough to get his hands trying to pull her forward… With which she started shouting at him and slapped him and Max, Mark and Tony all started up an argument with the guy who got exceedingly defensive and was eventually removed by security while Lara was ‘comforted’ by Hannah. It was funny, and they didn’t feel sorry for the guy who was put to shame by the bouncers and many of the customers… Another time Max had to get on stage karaoke, however not only had it been far less humiliating then Lara hoped for, Max had actually looked as if he enjoyed himself, at least after he was joined by a pretty thing that seemed as if she knew her way around pole dancing by the way she danced with Max… who mind you, had long since thrown his shirt into the crowd. Not that Lara hadn’t been the centre of attention in a similar fashion before or since then, but that was beside the point, she never thrived off others having too much fun in the spotlight…

Though Lara and Max had a complicated relationship, that was as deep as it was hollow. Max had been 14 when his father exposed him to the world of high paid woman, though Amy was 17 herself when she was hired to teach Max the finer ways of pleasing woman. At that age Max had been nothing as he was now, save for the anger which linked him to his past self… yet Lara and he had been friends for as long as Max could remember, and despite his father’s insistence that Max tell no one of Amy, he had told Lara. Over the next few months she’d prod and pry and even though she was 13 she always wanted him to show her what he meant. For the most part they had only ever kissed and held hands, which Max’s parents often praised Lara on being such a fine young girl and always spoiled her and her respectable parents with attention. It wasn’t until Lara’s 14th, which was just a few months into his ‘schooling’ did Max agree to Lara’s boisterous demands… though unlike Lara, Max had been far less enthused with the offer his father made in regards to having Amy spend time with him… not that Max disliked the experience! And to this day Max was still close friends with Amy, though it turned rather platonic for the most part…

Lara was always playing the fact that she had been Max’s first ‘real’ time, it almost lead to her having some control over him in the sense that no matter how she acted he’d always accept her and ignore whatever it was she did or said that would have usually caused a negative reaction from him. Out of Max’s ‘best’ friends, Mark was the only one who didn’t come from a well off family, in fact it had been Max’s offer of support early into their friendship that really cemented Mark’s loyalties, when Max helped bail Mark’s kid brother out of trouble and debt. Lara often called them ‘M an’ M’ for short when referring to the two, such as ‘Where’s M an’ M’, which was unrelated to the name of the lollies with a similar name, and Lara had found it funny when she made the connection.

On top of the three beers (hardly drunk but sensibility was still dimmed) Lara had also given Max a kiss earlier, filled with her chemical cocktail that caused Max’s tension to ease and helped him unwind. Who needs beer when your friend can just produce biological chemicals and make her own tonics? Though Lara had done it without Max’s knowing, and it didn’t click even as they had started laughing for a while he was rolling around on his bed while the other two kept trying to make him laugh with past pranks they had pulled. At least the time allowed Lara’s chemicals to fade mostly from Max’s system, leaving him still upbeat from the conversation and yet having more control over his emotions.

"Holy f*ck.." Max declared while the group slowed their pace to a brisk walk as they approached the stairs and descended it quickly, "..those ba$tards are on time." His hands pulled out his mobile while staring in amusement at the other two boys already waiting in the front hall. "We’re coming out now." It was all that needed to be said as Max hanged up on their driver, who was always half hour early minimum to his meetings, and so had been there since fifteen to nine.

"Was I talking to you, you little shit?" Another student who was walking up the stairs had stared at Max who said something about people being on time, and for the invasion of privacy Max threw a threatening glare and harsh words at the boy, who scowled the group and kept on up the stairs in a faster pace. "F*ck, can’t even have a quiet night with friends without some loser trying to crash in on our fun." A shake of his head was given and Lara smiled in amusement as they reached the bottom of the stairs. Sleek long boots flat heeled boots and a short two piece attire of a mini skirt and … mini t-shirt… which was covered over with a lacy see through top. Toned stomach and silky smooth thighs easily seen, silver chains about her neck long silver earrings that swayed as she moved, the numerous pieces that hang in a fine make from her lobe seemed elegant and suited for her.

"Car’s outside," Next to the bleach blonde siren was Max dressed finely in a pair of dark jeans, a white singlet could be seen under a loosely buttoned dark dusty grey shirt, he too was adorned in silver jewellery, though far simpler and yet stylishly worn still. Max didn’t stop for any ‘hellos’ or the like, merely walked on and threw open the doors before walking towards the car that pulled up near the base of the steps. "With extra tips, the driver’s willing to run over people for you." It was a running joke between the trio really, since Lara teased the driver one night a while ago and joked about giving him a tip (in front of Max) for all his ‘extra’ services, which caused Jeff (the driver) to inadvertently almost run over a student that walked in front of his car while he buckled up hastily in indignation (he’d done nothing with Lara, though she toyed with him almost the entire night).

"Anyone hungry? We can order at the Star or pick something up on the way, up to you lot? I’m starved." Max ushered Lara and Mark into the six seater stretched car (not entirely a ‘limo’, persey, more of a baby one if anything, with enough leg room to offer the space to have six people sitting with half facing the other face), however Max didn’t enter and waited for the other two to slip, willing to be the last one in the car.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
"Wesley.. ?" He had seen it in the expression on the other’s face, and now in the words of the other. Yeah yeah. He knew. Not the most faltering of names, though the truth was he didn’t mind it too much. As a name. When he was older it would sound quite good. But he knew the immediate image people gained from it wasn’t exactly flattering, and briefly his gaze turned to the students walking past him. Damn, he wished he was a student here. If only for the girls, because it seemed that most of the female population were pretty attractive. If not just hot.

"Well Wesssle[/i] A smirk found the invisibility mutant’s face at the new tone. So, he wanted to play. Already, Wes felt he could play off the other male easily enough, and that would make life far more fun. Wes might have been seeking a place to fit in, but at the same time, he wasn’t desperate. After all, he was only a guest at the school. So he could take a taste of this darker social life and then be free to choose something.. tamer later on.

" ..Call me Trip." Trip? Well, Wesley might sound dorky, but Trip sounded like something out of a bad kids TV show to be honest. He wasn’t bothered by the lack of a handshake, instead a slow smile crossed his face in the form of a small smirk. ”Trip huh? Well, only if you stick to Wes” He said simply, his eyes casting almost slightly dismissively towards the passing students again, though not in a rude fashion, just as if that was the end of the topic as far as he was concerned. Till suddenly he heard voices above him, his eyes lifting to the stairs as three more familiar faces head downwards.

Wes missed the original words, enough distance and poor attention stopping what might have been an insult from reaching his brain. His eyes, instead, found the distracting sight of Lara. A smile crossed his lips as he allowed his eyes to linger for a moment in appraisal. Very nice. She looked stunning. However, he let his eyes drift to their ‘host’ taking in the other’s attire as a comparison as to whether he had chosen his own outfit well. Between the males on show, he guessed he hadn’t done too badly, and was silently pleased that he went for something as bright as this red, rather than the duller, more standard colours of his companions. Wes wasn’t a fool, he knew full well he could pull it off, the brightness well matched to his dark hair and blue eyes.

"Car’s outside," The words pulled the young agent from his thoughts, his eyes following the young Chadstone, before he followed the trio out towards the car, before hand shooting Lara a quick, naturally charming smile as she passed him. "With extra tips, the driver’s willing to run over people for you." The phrase caused him to blink a little, before mentally shrugging the sentence off. Maybe that meant something to them, he wasn’t sure. But he wasn’t really overly bothered, in-jokes or the similar were something to be discovered slowly, but to never ask about, in his opinion.

"Anyone hungry? We can order at the Star or pick something up on the way, up to you lot? I’m starved." The idea of food hadn’t really crossed his mind until Max brought it up. He followed Lara and Mark into the vehicle on Max’s bidding, taking the next seat available, leaving plenty of space for the remaining two passengers. His eyes drifted around the car quietly for a moment, as if accessing it carefully. He had seen inside a few limo’s during one or two of his missions. And although small, he had to admit that this one was pretty nice. The gaze was cast patiently, waiting from the last two to get settled before he spoke.

”Food sounds like a good idea, and, depending on the food in this place, I say go for the Dying Star. Because, personally, I can’t think of anywhere which would neither take an hour to serve us or taste like it had been dipped in lard” He spoke simply, calmly, with a slight smirk. He was not about to go and spend his money, on a night out like this, at the local fast food joint. If they were going to eat, it might as well be something actually worth the money. And he didn’t think anyone would want to wait up to at least another hour to get to this party. And that was considering that they could not only get a table, but get the food and finish eating in that time.

”Trip huh? Well, only if you stick to Wes”

It wasn't so much his reply, but the mannerisms that Trip took notice of. If anything, it was one of the best possible reactions that he could have given. Had Wes taken the quasi-hazing anymore serious, it essentially would have made him into a living-breathing target. In return, were he any more disrespectful, the end result likely would have been the same. When his mood was so suited, Trip could be highly vicious and unrelenting. He wasn't your average brute reliant school bully. Rather a manipulative, conniving, and all around deceitful breed. Venomous words and demeaning antics replaced punches. Sick and often times twisted schemes in return would replace kicks. Trip was a picky person too. Even littlest of reasons could in fact initiate such behavior. But, Wes had passed the initial judging. For now, he seemed alright enough.

The sneer had faded, his own attention veering off again. His surroundings really weren't worthy of much attention. Thus, the situation was quickly becoming tedious. Then again, Trip wasn't a very patient person to begin with. It was only natural that having to wait would get under his skin. The eclectic blend of students was the best focus he found. Granted it wasn't much of a sight. But, it passed the time. Through the myriad of muffled conversations, a vaguely familiar tone did catch his attention. Something about b4stards on time. He had missed the first second or so, but guessing at the rest wouldn't be too much of a challenge. Trip couldn't help but think that he too likely would have had the same exact reaction. It was slightly humoring, but not enough to generate any sort of reaction. However, the harsh words that followed not too soon afterward, were far more interesting. His hopes were set upon seeing some sort of violence, a forcefully imposed downward decent of the staircase preferably, however he was aware that such a thing probably wasn't going to happen. It would have made a far more memorable entrance. But, at least they had finally shown up. It was nice not have to stand around like a complete idiot anymore.

"Car’s outside, With extra tips, the driver’s willing to run over people for you."

The additional comment seemed to get a response from others. So, obviously he too figured it to be some inside joke. Either that, or a failed attempt at humor. Either way, it was shrugged off. Trip was already standing free of the wall, ready to head out. There was no need to tell him twice. As they passed him by, he took better notice of the other two. More specifically, Lara. She was quite an unexpected surprise. Although quite the tempting sight, she didn't keep his attention all that long. Just a few seconds glance over. Chances were she was involved with someone. Not that he really would have cared about such a thing if interested enough. Besides, she and Max did seem rather close. Then there was Wes. He also seemed rather taken with her at the moment. At least it seemed his eyes were. Not he could really blame him though. For some odd reason, Trip decided to be respectful for once. Which showed that he had some minuscule and possibly growing amount of respect for these people so far. Which was more than Trip could say most people.

"Anyone hungry? We can order at the Star or pick something up on the way, up to you lot? I’m starved."

It didn't matter either way. Hunger, at the moment, wasn't much of an issue. Wes however did seem to have an opinion on the whole matter. In which did bring up a viable point. It could knowing most restaurants, take a good chunk of time. Time that could be better spent. The concept of the spending half the night parked in a McDonald's drive though was less than appealing. Although agreeing, Trip decided to keep neutral on the subject anyways. After taking his seat, there was a slight shrug. "Doesn't matter to me." Came a rather apathetic and indecisive sounding response. He placed a hand at his side, touching the fine leathers seats. Truthfully, this was more than he had ever expected. Sure, Max seemed rather well off.. But, this was just beyond that.

Ooc: Going to have to edit what occurred Sunday morning for Max as now we have his brothers coming down and I haven’t planned on what they’re doing or anything >.>”

The half hearted opinions didn’t bother Max at all, and he agreed with Wes on the accessibility of the Star’s food yet going there as often as Max did meant that Max gradually got bored of the food on offer. Not that it bothered him really, so with an agreement towards Wes’s suggestion there was little else added to the subject, which Lara seemed all too eager to shift onto other matters anyway.

"So, how was the weekend with them?" The question was directed towards Max, though it had taken a moment for Max to pull his eyes from viewing outside the window to looking back over at the girl to see who she was talking to. The expression that softly creased over Max’s face was plain enough to read… he obviously wasn’t in the mood to talk about things so openly and yet Lara prodded away happily.

"Great." Short, yet not entirely rude, as if torn between being content with whatever Lara had asked about, being upset over it or settling with hovering somewhere between. Deep down though Lara hardly cared, she was never able to really fill herself up with affection and she wasn’t sure why, but even with people that she called close friends the petite blonde found herself not really overly caring about things unless they held significant interest to her for other reasons then sympathy. Though meeting Max’s older brother again had been an interesting occurrence and then to find out Max had a younger half brother! She had gotten all giddy with wondering how Steven may have reacted to finding out all his sons had come together under Xavier’s roof.

"I wonder how far fuzzball will take this silly endeavour of his." The pondering tone that came from the intoxicating mutant flowed with a luscious tone that made it hard for Max to even think about frowning in reply. Though his sapphire gaze remained on her quietly for a moment, Mark distracted the infamous Chadstone youth with another comment.

"Dr McCoy isn’t one to easily back down, I don’t think he’ll just turn a blind eye to this…" There was a brief pause, almost as if the chocolate skinned youth doubted whether to add the last part of his comment or not, but seemed to reluctantly continue on. "…it was just a few steps too far this time." There was a conviction in Mark’s voice, yellow slit eyes not afraid of saying what was on his mind but to the USA born African it was more his best friend’s feelings he worried hurting… Mark owed a lot to Max over the years and what Max considered to be effortless assistance often saved Mark’s family from a lot of trouble, both older and younger brothers were given their second chances when the chips were down and Mark never treated his friendship with Max lightly. If it wasn’t for Max, Lara and Mark wouldn’t hang out together, too different in personalities to care for each other, yet that didn’t mean Mark didn’t have his mean streak at times.

It still felt strange for Max to hear other people talk about his father’s actions as if they were unjust, and it only helped to confuse the boy more on what was meant to be right or wrong. So many fundamental foundations seemed to be shaken at the bases and slowly his empire of trust and certainty was crumbling down around him. The stone shifting mutant spent only a moment staring across at Mark, the friend that was always defensive over Max when people tried to step on the Chadstone’s toes, much like Lara only Lara had her own way to deal with things and usually she’d hang back when confronted and retaliate later when she was more prepared.

"Don’t be silly, Max probably did another boo-boo he’s not telling us about that got himself into trouble again." Lara replied to Mark, bright blue eyes turned to look towards Max, their gaze lined with thick lashes and black eyeliner, the look sent knots in Max’s stomach though he knew she was clueless as to his extra curricular activities with his knew male companion, though she had met Matt briefly not too long ago.

"Not that this isn’t a thrilling topic to continue on with, but how about a change of theme, perhaps to something more party-going maybe?" A near wicked grin came from Lara after Max spoke, wanting to swing the topic of conversation off himself and his newly surfacing issues, which only enhanced Lara’s curiosity towards the whole situation that Max was trying very hard to keep from them it seemed.

"Any dares for the night?" Mark asked already diving into their old private game of dares, Lara looked thoughtful for a moment but they’d already done nearly everything one could think of. Max let his mind get slightly distracted as he remembered the last night in the dying star… definitely memorable yet not something he’d want to share with others… part of him suddenly wondered if Matt would be out there tonight, not the frame of thought he wanted to get caught up in though, and so Max quickly tried to think of something else. Thoughtful eyes stared over towards the other two newer members of their group, at least for the night anyway.

"We usually suggest a few dares before going out, otherwise it gets mundane." Max explained, though could see some may find it childish while others may rise to the game, sometimes they dared each other while in the club, but since it was hard to hear each other half the time, they started tossing ideas around and then took the night as it came, throwing in whatever dare seemed doable as the night progressed.

"As a result we’re banned from ‘Human Rights’, a no mutant bar.. was on the news a while back for its patrons attacking a 17 year old girl who had pink hair and pink eyes… turned out to be hair dye and eye contacts and for it she got beaten and nearly raped by three racist drunks." Mark’s tone was casual and yet something hidden within it sounded as if he was seething with unseen anger, as far as Max cared humans were lesser beings to mutants, it’s how he and Lara were both raised and Mark had more then enough encounters to have a hefty disliking for non-mutants. But the fact a group of humans beat up a human girl who MAY have been a mutant just because of altered hair colour (and how many people dye their hairs strange colours?!) it just set the youths blood boiling.

"It was painful… we had to pretend to be humans." Max groaned, Lara looked amused as she placed both her hands on the thighs of either boy beside her, since she had sat in the center and forced Wes to move on her other side in order to allow Trip to get in and side down, Mark and Max comfortably sat on the other side. She hardly cared if her hands were both visibly resting on two separate guys, she loved it when people fawned over her and jealousy between males was always an adrenalin rush for her, though Max had never shown it which was both annoying and good at the same time.

"I didn’t find it so bad… though I got to spike their bar tap." Lara’s eyes moved towards the Wes and she smiled at him, "Though it’s not always so fun…sometimes all we end up doing is entertain ourselves." If a verbal hint could blink like neon lights then that surely would have done so as Lara let her ruby lips curve into their alluring smile.

Whether or not the others agreed to his suggestion, he wasn’t really sure, but it seemed that the decision had been made to head straight to dying star for now at least. And so he leant slowly back in the seat now, half listening to the conversation, only occasionally letting his gaze flicker to the young woman beside him. If the limo had been more of a distraction, then perhaps it wouldn’t have been so difficult. Instead, he let his eyes drift between his fellow passengers, and let the words occasionally filter into his mind.

"Not that this isn’t a thrilling topic to continue on with, but how about a change of theme, perhaps to something more party-going maybe?" Now that would be nice merely because it meant it would apply to the two members of this little party that weren’t old friends as the other trio so clearly where. It wasn’t that the words before weren’t in his subconscious should the details be needed later, but he held no interest in them, and at least this might.

"Any dares for the night?" Dark eyebrows rose slowly as the black haired youth turned his eyes to Mark as he spoke. Dares. Now that could make the night interesting. A good bit of fun rather than just awkwardly hanging out with these four, with his eyes semi-latched on Lara and taking any chance he could.

"We usually suggest a few dares before going out, otherwise it gets mundane." Understandable. True, Wes had never been to a club, but his experience of parties and old school disco’s held a poor forerunner for him. But dares… now that could be fun. Sure, it could be childish, but what the hell was wrong with that? At the same time, at their ages, they could think of some far more fun dares.

"As a result we’re banned from ‘Human Rights’, a no mutant bar.. was on the news a while back for its patrons attacking a 17 year old girl who had pink hair and pink eyes… turned out to be hair dye and eye contacts and for it she got beaten and nearly raped by three racist drunks." Such attacks on supposed mutants were not uncommon. Mutant activities was something the young agent had kept a close eye on in his time. Not for the purposes of his missions, the agency didn’t really allow him much on that, but more for personal interest. And he remembered hearing about the attack. A frown crossed his lips briefly with a small nod.

"It was painful… we had to pretend to be humans." Thank god that Wes had been trained to hide surprise of any shape or form, and any look of surprise could be easily translated as being caused by the hand he suddenly felt on his thigh, eyes lowering to it briefly. So these others were anti-human. Not a problem really, he could cope with that. He would just have to neglect to bring up his non mutant friends and family. Instead, he distracted his thoughts by looking to Lara now. The movement seemed so casual by her, and although it didn’t go unnoticed that Trip had received similar attention, he could let that go. For now. Especially as the female’s eyes turned to him whilst she spoke.

"I didn’t find it so bad… though I got to spike their bar tap." Wes wasn’t foolish enough to ask what she had spiked it with. That seemed like something which might be a bit dangerous in it’s self. Still, it was the next sentence, as her eyes actually met his that he smirked at softly. "Though it’s not always so fun…sometimes all we end up doing is entertain ourselves." Now, if the invisibility mutant hadn’t picked up on that, there was no way he was male, and he smiled slowly, as if pondering the concept, turning his head away for a moment, leaning back against the seat.

”Sometimes there is more fun to be found amongst friends than luring in strangers…” He said calmly in response. Why he did it at that moment, he wasn’t sure, but his eyes were cast down to his wrist for a moment, to the tattoo upon his wrist. Still green. It was always green but at the same time a fear of the side affects of his power made him check it occasionally. The snake had become almost an obsession, and was barely hidden beneath the silk like material of his cuff.

His eyes lifted to the window briefly before glancing to others. Distracted? No, but he didn’t want to be staring at Lara the whole night. Okay, not true. He DID want to be staring at Lara the whole night, he didn’t want the reactions that would inevitably gain. Though it wasn’t long right then till his eyes moved to her’s again. ”Wouldn’t you agree?” He said slowly, smoothly.

"I was wrong, to think that I might belong. But I will never forget what I was... Who I am.. What I did, just to learn that"
"You know. I have this power. And yet.... I've yet to sneak in to a girl's changing room!"

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
The conversation continued on, but that little aspect Great. Again, it seemed destined to become a hellish bore of a night. At least whatever time would be spent with these people. With their inside jokes and seclusive conversation, Trip was already failing to see the point of them even inviting others along. Granted he could have intruded on their chatter. But, the mood just didn't hit him. Besides, their choice of topic seemed to be some sort of personal scandal. It was always nice to have insight into such things. You never knew when such knowledge could prove useful. For the moment, curiosity had plowed his abundance of negativity aside. Yet, it wouldn't last long.

"Not that this isn’t a thrilling topic to continue on with, but how about a change of theme, perhaps to something more party-going maybe?"

Touchy, now wasn't he? Between Lara's viscous prodding of the subject and Max's attempt to avoid her conversation, Trip could help but grin. It was very much amusing to him. He couldn't help but love how forward the girl seemed to be. She knew what she what she wanted to know, and didn't just dance around the topic. In that aspect, they seemed to be rather like minded. It was nice to see such a strong willed woman. Although Max did seem to know how to deal with it all. That showed some intelligence, him not just spewing his personal life in front of someone he didn't know all too much about.

"Any dares for the night?"

The conversation continued on, but that little aspect stuck in his mind. Dares could prove interesting. At least they'd keep the night interesting. Though the very thought brought up a matter limitations. The problem actually being his lack there of such a thing. Sure Trip could on to suggest a few dares, but could they handle them or not? Just how far did these dares of theirs usually go? Plenty of possibilities came to mind, even a few twisted little games of sort. But, they'd have to wait a moment or two.

Trip veered his eyes down to see Lara's hand resting on his leg. Not only was her hand on his leg, but Wes too had garnered the exact attention. Most might have felt awkward in such a situation. Yet, Trip barely reacted at all. It was as if the situation was an everyday occurrence to him. It was an almost arrogant response really. His bright blue eyes shifted back to the rest of the group for a moment. "What kind of dares..?" The question was really directed to Max and Mark, as Lara and Wes were engaged in chatter at the moment.

As he awaited a response, his head cocked in Lara's direction. His grinning lips just mere inches from her ear. Already alarm all that saw them to his mischevious thoughts. In a soft, yet still audible tone he finally responded to her actions. "I can't blame you for wanting a nice little two for one deal. But, I'm not so sure you could handle me alone.. Forget with an assistant." Came a mused tone, the young mutants attention once again shifting back to the others. He hadn't cared if anyone else overheard or not. Had it been intended to be a secret, the whole thing would have been whispered instead. Which it wasn't quite. Clearly, confidence wasn't an issue with him either. Trip had plenty of it. Even worse, had he actually known of Lara's persistant reputation, his response would have been just the same.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
The interaction between the other three opposite of Max was watched with eyes that were rather difficul to read, displeasure and curiosity as possible behind the mask of nuetrality as contentment or ignorant bliss.

"Sometimes there is more fun to be found amongst friends than luring in strangers…" To Lara's actions Wes responded a manner that was rather enticing, though drawing up thoughts Max forced away by turning his head to stare out the window. Of course it didn't help, not with the image of Lara's creeping hand burned in his mind, though Max wasn't sure what was more alluring, the thought of how close her hand snaked its way teasingly closer to its goal or the thought over that in which she sought.

Enough of that. As of the other day Max had agreed that such thoughts were just pointless, needless, and down right destructive. He didn't need to think of such things, woman were his main and only focus, and the only reason he let himself be led on the last few weeks had been because he was confused and misguided. From here on in, no more stupid thoughts like that, they were degrading and senseless and utterly ridiculous.

”Wouldn’t you agree?” Almost out of bordem Max had looked back and Lara's coy smile beckoned the darker eyed youth in a manner that all too clearly expressed her agreement.

"What kind of dares..?" At Trip's question Max glanced at Mark, the african looked over at Trip though more thoughtfully. What sort of dares were they in the moods for? God they'd been partying so hard for so long together that things seemed to be getting repeated, fresh blood was supposed to be exciting, they better earn their place in the group or Max was going home early tonight.

"I can't blame you for wanting a nice little two for one deal. But, I'm not so sure you could handle me alone.. Forget with an assistant." It was hard to be discreet sitting in a car facing each other but the attempt wasn't even made as Max stared at Trip for the comment he made. More the just a little enticing and Max wasn't the only one to think so it seemed as Lara turned her head to offer back an almost smug little smirk that said something along the lines of either 'you have no idea' or 'try me', perhaps both as equally but Max was far from focusing on his childhood 'sweetheart' and more intent on trying to put his mind in the state of frame that would allow him to completely ignore Trip for the next few minutes.

It wasn't happening though, a thrill tingled through Chadstone at the challenge even though it wasn't directed towards him and that on its own was enough to cause a slight frown on Max as he forced his eyes to drop, hands folding neatly over his lap.

"How about tonight be your shout for the dares, throw out your ideas and see if there are any takers." The darkly coloured student asked with an almost eager glint to his snake-like eyes, the fanged smile while he spoke more often then not put some students off... Only because they knew Mark could get violent if he felt someone was trying to step over him, Max or their other friend Tony.

Not his first glancing blow
Touch with the fist – all he knows
Visibly coiled, moving too fast
Close to the boil, speaking with hands

Voices raised, needs not met
Show me your self, not self-defence
Voices raised makes no sense
In a language of touch

Torn but not broken, knows his place
A measure of pain – a covered face
Once like a game he played along
Given no name, the charade goes on

Why must a boy always shout to be heard?
In the roar of emotion where the lines get so blurred
Sometimes a touch tells a thousand words

His canvas her flesh
A bare wall to tag
A flicker of regret
Stamped out like his cigarette

Hold without breaking
Weakness is strength
Heat without burning
Touch without haste

Reach without failing
Never too late.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
A slow smile couldn’t be helped by the blue eyed mutant at the obvious agreement he had found in the enticing fae beside him at his words. He made no effort to discourage nor encourage the touch, resting back in the seat as his eyes gaze moved over the others slowly, listening now as Trip spoke up. "What kind of dares..?"

It was something to be considered really. Wes didn’t mind dares at all, and the truth was there was some he was certain he could take with ease thanks to his, as yet, unrevealed power. After all, catching someone by surprise, or anything that involved going unseen was easy, even when they did discover his ability. Not even the idea of dancing lights worried him. The quick silver his power created relied on bending light, but because it was such an instant reaction, there was no problem. Not even a shadow was cast.

"I can't blame you for wanting a nice little two for one deal. But, I'm not so sure you could handle me alone.. Forget with an assistant." His eyes turned to Trip as he spoke, and a slightly chuckle threatened to escape him at that, before resting his head back on the seat and closing his eyes for a moment. Now if that wasn’t a neon sign, what was? Still, he wasn’t worried. He was here to have a good night out, nothing more. Sure, his eyes could merrily remain attached to the enchantress that was Lara, but it was only a lust. Even Wes recognised that.

"How about tonight be your shout for the dares, throw out your ideas and see if there are any takers." The soft blue eyes of the invisibility mutant opened once more, turning towards the darker male. Now that was an interesting suggestion. Dares weren’t something the agent was used to, but he was sure he could think of something as things went on. Already his mind was working on ideas, though most depended on this club. The layout, the people present… even the staff. A smirk dared to play at the corner of his lips. Especially if there were any ‘suits’ there, any men dressed too smart for their own good. Max and company might dislike humans, for whatever reason. But Wes pure out hated suits.

The smirk dared to play a little more at the thought, looking round the other four. Yes, he could imagine them taking up his dares, or at least some which were starting to grow in his mind. ”Sounds good to me” He said slowly, his eyes on Mark for now, managing to keep his gaze from the beauty beside him, though his gaze shifted slowly so to look around the others generally now. ”Any boundaries?” He decided to check, a playful, almost dark glint to those eyes. He didn’t expect many with these people, but he thought he might as well check. ”Just so I know before I decide to break them”

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
The smug little expression that the blond beauty flaunted had said all that needed to be known. Clearly, she seemed to be someone he could get used to hanging around. Saying anything in addition here would only make him seem desperate or horribly sleazy, neither of which a tremendous ego could allow. Instead there was a single nearly inaudible laugh followed with an arrogant grin. His mood had changed so quickly. Trip was always a pessimist if there ever was one. Yet, with just one little expression, Lara had managed to purge him of that negativity. At lease for the moment that was.

As shifted glance around brought attention to Max. His demeanor seemed to have changed a bit. The most likely cause seemed to be the chatter previously directed to the blond female. Maybe it bothered him somehow. There was no real tell as to what there might have brought about such posture and general silence. So maybe he'd watch a bit more carefully next time, at least until he knew such brazen responses weren't going to bother others.

"How about tonight be your shout for the dares, throw out your ideas and see if there are any takers."

Distracted, he failed to catch where that was directed. Not that it really mattered, Wes seemed to have a response. To be honest, such a subject was probably in far better hands than it would have had Trip been more attentive. There was no predicting what twisted little concepts would slip from those grinning lips. A bunch of possibilities came to mind with ease. Yet they could wait, Trip wanted to see what Wes would come up with.

”Any boundaries?”

Boundaries? Did state and federal laws count? Although there was little doubt in his mind that he would in fact violate such limitations given the desire and opportunity. No, limitations weren't going to be a problem here. Unless this was some sort of crazy human sacrificing cult in the works. In which case things might have to be considered first.

”Just so I know before I decide to break them”

He was welcome to try. Although it'd be more of a task than he likely knew. "Do your worst." Wes seemed be a rather tame person, at least by first impressions. Surely he wouldn't come up with anything worse than the utterly embarrassing and hilariously cruel situations that previously flooded Trips thoughts. "I can take it." Emboldened, he responded to start things off. Granted, the first bet could very well wind up being the worst. Not that it mattered though. He'd win this little bet anyways.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
”Sounds good to me” Already it felt as if things were going back to normal, and for Max it was easy to distract himself and forget whatever bothered him. So this trip was perfect. Too much was happening all too fast, not only had Max rediscovered his brother who had years earlier pulled a disappearing act, it seems another one has popped up out of the woodworks. While Kevin seemed like a decent enough kid, it was still really awkward around him, and Saturday had been difficult, spending time as a family was definitely something Max wasnt used to. Jame's seemed different to how Max had remembered him as well... being the older brother Max had always seen the elder sibling as the strongest, unbreakable, able to stand his ground and not fear those who tried to step over him. And yet in the end it turned out that Jamie was just as human as the next guy, and while that was something Max could accept as being obvious once he thought about it, it still left the stone shifting mutant a little shaken.

”Any boundaries?” Boundries? Even Lara had to throw a glance towards Max, they'd never really set themselves much boundries, just the unspoken one which all seemed to abide my... Making chaos was fun and all, but as long as it didn't cause fatalities. But that was something that was never discussed, it never needed to be stated either. Ok, there was the occasional times Lara used her powers to drug a few people, give them a high or make them strangely drunk, but the group never went so far as to do any serious damage. And even Max wouldn't let Lara to intoxicate someone to a point they was easy pickings to take advantage of in a sexual way. ”Just so I know before I decide to break them” There was a moment where Tony fidgeted with his attire, straightening it out a little more before leaning over to whisper something into Marks ear. It was obviously a joke in reply to what Wes had asked as Mark gave a light hearted chuckle, a whispering reply of 'Nut.' given back clear enough to hear before they focused on Wes once more.

"Do your worst." As Lara shifted about Max found even he got distracted with her sensual movements, he knew Lara did it all intentionally, practing how to move herself for the various common actions she'd need to preform on a night out. Max had watched her practice for years, she used to sit or stand in front of the mirrors in his home estate, moving her arms, her torso, her long legs... When she was really young it never occured to Max just how enticing her rehearsed movements could be. Max always liked the way Lara moved forward, the way her back curved, the way her chest, subtle yet defined, it just seemed to scream for the attention of ones eyes no matter how modest her movements 'appeared' to be.

Almost reflexively Max's eyes turned to examine the other newcomers in the car, they were all lookers, depending on womans tastes technically, but all were rather attractive in their own ways. Even Mark and Tony, though out of the group Tony usually had the less attention given to him, the guy was too much of a sheep at times to catch someone's eye around such strong personalities as Lara and Max.

"I can take it." Oh could he know? Max wondered what Matt would say about a comment like that coming from someone like Trip. Max had said something similar and it ended up almost regretting it. Almost. The aches and pains the following day seemed worth it in the end... as long as Max thought of only what he had felt and not of the shame his family would have felt knowing what things occured between the two young men. Trip was strong, so was Wes, they both looked in decent shape.. and they looked nice.. it was hard to say which one was more attractive but Max wouldnt let more then a passing moment go by before he looked away. There was definite charms with both of them, Max didn't really want to put any thought into it, but without thinking he already felt himself more inclined towards Trip.. though.. Max distracted his thoughts that, to be honest, actually disturbed him as much as Max assumed it'd disturbe others.

Max let a hand gently touch against Lara's perfectly done hair, his fingers moved along carefully to make sure he didn't knock even a strand of the marticulously done style out of place. It was a tendency Max always had, he relied very heavily on company and there was always the stray hand that moved towards his female companions, just as it seemed to be doing when he was alone with the light elemental mutant, though he'd not be so open with things as he was with Lara, or any other girl who happened to be accompanying him as a date of sorts. The interaction between the two were never so easy to understand, people got confused as to where the two were dating or not, some of the guys at the school worried that Lara was openly cheating on Max and that Max would teat them a lesson or two for touching his girl. Usually it took a bit before they realized Max and Lara were just old ex's who found company in each other, but weren't tied together any more. And Max preferred it like that... Lara was a girl he understood, but she was a right pain at the same time.. Not always because of thigns she did, but because Max hated how much his parents loved her, and how well they got on. A little bit of jealousy however wasn't going to stop him from caring about her though.

"Yeah, nothing's really out of limits.. avoid things that result in fatalities and we're set." The manner in which Max said fatalities was almost as if he had to strain to think of it, and that he toyed with the thought for a moment just to throw a humerous thought or two into his mind. Some humans really deserved to get smacked about though, so Max wasnt really keen on putting any real limitations, limits changed depending on the situation and person at hand. "Sometimes we write out a list and people have to pick it out of a hat... or Lara's lap usually, we dont tend to wear hats." There was a wicked smile from Max as he glanced at Lara, who by far didn't care about all the attention she was getting, the more the merrier and even thoug Max had looked her way she in turn merely gave the new boys her own sensational little smirk.

Re: Introduction to the local Night Life
The brief whisper hadn’t gone unnoticed by Wes in response to his words. He was pretty sure he hadn’t screwed up too badly though, and it didn’t seem the case. Truth was he was testing the water. He didn’t take this group as being hugely reserved, but they might have set a rule which he could harmlessly break. For a moment though, Wes suddenly wondered if he was out of his depth. Hanging with people close to his own age, going to this club, planning on drinking despite the fact he was under aged. This was something far beyond the male had ever done before. He was used to being forced to follow rules, it would make a change to break them for once rather than enforcing them!

"Do your worst." Wes shifted a little to let his eyes turn to Trip in thought. That wasn’t exactly what he’d meant. Trip’s sum up was right, Wes was tamed.. but that didn’t mean he couldn’t.. wouldn’t learn. Still, a challenge was a challenge. He would have to think of something then. After all, there was no fun without a challenge, nothing to rise to the occasion for.

"I can take it." Confidence! Wes smirked a little at thought, a silent agreement for to the challenge as he rested back into the seat once more. For a moment, that bet had taken his attention from Lara. Though not for long. After all, she was the main reason he’d come out. If not the only reason. Part of what returned his attention back to the girl was the movement of Max’s hand, watching slightly, a little thoughtful for a moment before mentally shaking himself. He wasn’t here to be ‘thoughtful’. The entire point of this evening was that he wouldn’t have to think so deeply. He was meant to be able to relax, and try and ignore the fact that if anyone found out what he was he was screwed.

"Yeah, nothing's really out of limits.. avoid things that result in fatalities and we're set." A brow raised, not at the lack of limitations as such, but that something such as fatalities had to be mentioned. Though fair enough, he had asked. And it was somewhat reassuring considering their clear distaste towards humans. Lazily, Wes stretched as he listened, eyes on Max now as he spoke. He certainly seemed more accepting of his presence than he had this morning. Then again, Wes had invaded rather rudely he supposed. Even if there had been a distinct lack of other seats! What did gain his attention about Max though, was that clearly even the ideas of fatalities was wavering a little. Did they really hate humans this much? Yes, he knew some humans were biased little sods, but a lot weren’t. Didn’t they have family who accepted them? Again Wesley cursed his thoughtfulness. Did it matter? Perhaps he could just ensure no one was hurt. He couldn’t hurt an innocent. That was his own boundary. Spy on them, yes. Hurt, no.

"Sometimes we write out a list and people have to pick it out of a hat... or Lara's lap usually, we dont tend to wear hats." The smirk from Max to Lara didn’t go unnoticed, though at the same time attention was drawn to Lara’s own response as she threw that beautiful smirk towards himself and Trip. She certainly seemed to enjoy this attention from all around her. Normally, this would be something which actually put Wes off a woman. His own lack of experience made him inwardly a little nervous, though he refused to show it, and he preferred the idea of having some control. Though perhaps to loose control was the best thing that could happen to him.

A playful smirk teased his lips as he looked at Lara after the comment of picking dares out of her lap. Of course, that would switch the fun away from the dare it’s self towards the possibility of managing some rather.. teasing touches. At the same time, a list would also allow some of the pressure lift from him. The question was, did he admit his lack of experience, or keep silent. But then he would risk looking a fool later.

”A list doesn’t sound like a bad plan… it saves the risk of.. drying up on ideas later” He said slowly, no exactly serious but with a little less tease in his voice than before, until a slow, playful smirk teased his lips, keeping his eyes pretty general, though he clearly ensured to pay just that touch more attention to Lara as he continued. ”That, and I’m still a newcomer to this scene… unfortunately I’ve led a bit of a sheltered life. So I’m forced to leave my self in capable hands” He chuckled, making a joke of his own ‘virginity’ in this environment, before something new entered his eyes, looking past Lara to Trip now, a dare in his eyes. “But.. that won’t stop me thinking up something for you. Sometimes fresh ideas are the worst” An acceptance of the bet, a smirk on his lips as he spoke. He hoped he’d not made the wrong move here, but if he had what’s the worse that could happen.

”Of course.. just because I lack experience..” He said slowly, leaning back into the seat of the limo once more. ”Doesn’t mean I won’t take what anyone throws at me..” He chuckled with that smirk, more playful once more. Probably better anyway, to point out that he might not come up with the best ideas, but at the same time, he wasn’t about to shy away from the dares. No matter how bad they were!.

Hannah: In this world we're forced to make choices everyday. We don't always know the consequences. But it's how we react to them which makes us who we are
