It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
The hall was filled with tables all lined up neatly in rows.. but unlike Xavier's large dinning hall, there was a lot less moving about, people taking to their seats and seeming to remain there, voices all nice and low, no one calling out across the room or rushing about. Riley glanced about almost as uncomfortably as Cat did, he didn't remember any of these faces, and some where looking towards him and waving, calling out his name and commenting on how long it's been since he's eaten with them..
One of the agents actually hopped up from his table and approached Riley while Graham and the others moved over to line up and grab some plates of food from the selection set out for them in hte canteen on the far end of the room. Riley watched as the others moved off, Graham pausing and glancing back as Matthew moved in front of Riley with a wide grin.
"Sir! We heard you came back, are you going to organise any team activities, we're really keen on our group getting back together.. Joan's not the best at team work." Riley glanced over at Graham, then back at Matthew, but as soon as he saw the younger boy giving Catherine a rather warm smile, he quickly placed his hand on Cat's shoulder and pointed towards the rest of the group waiting for them.
"You'll have to ask Agent Cortez.. sorry." Moving past Matthew, he glanced back only once to make sure he wasn't watching Catherine walk off like Forrest had a habit of doing with girls. Once they where lined up, Riley picked up a tray for Catherine and handed it to her so she coud put her selection of food upon it, taking one for himself a moment later. He seemed to know exactly what he had wanted, because he picked up a dish with chicken pieces, one of the few serves with out a side salad, instead served with some chips. Graham had returned, glancing at Catherine who was still looking over the wide selection of verious plates. Taking Riley's tray, he pointed over to one of the distant corner tables out of the way. Watching as Graham took his plate, Riley then turned his attention to Catherine, standing behind her with his hands lightly upon her shoulders as he watched with her.. she smelled so nice..
"We have drinks on the table already.." He spoke rather quietly.. he didn't mean to, but he was looking down at her and watching as her eyes scanned over the dishes.. She was so pretty.. she looked so cute as her eyes just skimmed over the veriaty of foods.
Her eyes stared around the large hall, instinctivley her body inched that little bit closer to Riley, taking some shread of comfort from his presence in the room. There were so many faces she didn't recognise, she wondered if Jon was there but a quick glance around her didn't show him up.
It was hard to feel anything but threatened, she was in a room, full of people who were keeping her prisoner here, she couldn't understand how the two new girls she'd been introduced to were being nice to her. Everyone in this room was keeping her here against her will, she looked around her rather dishartened, she didn't understand how she was supposed to act around them. People were being nice to her and every fibre in her was telling her to get as far away from them as possible, how could you be freinds with your captors ... but then wasn't she dating one.
Her eyes moved back to Riley's face, hearing people call out hello to him, she inched unconciously inched a little closer to him, as if if the room suddenly turned on her he would be able to fend them off.
'Sir! We heard you came back, are you going to organise any team activities, we're really keen on our group getting back together.. Joan's not the best at team work.' She looked rather nervously at this new boy, the next moment she felt Riley's hand on her shoulder, then he was guiding her away from the boy, she glanced back over her shoulder but Riley's body obscured him from view.
She held the tray against her front, her arms wrapped around it, hugging it close to her. She watched as Riley picked up his choice from the selection, wondering how he decided what to eat from the large range. She saw Graham take Riley's tray from him and move towards the back of the room with the others, leaving Cat behind with Riley, his hands dropping onto her shoulders. She knew he was waiting for her to choose what she wanted to eat.
Her eyes moved over the slection, she wasn't sure what to pick, she'd always been given her food, even at school she'd been provided with a pack lunch. She hugged the tray a little closer to her, eyeing the canteen staff nervously. She didn't like it here, she couldn't help feeling very threatened by the people around her, she wanted to be back in Riley's room, even perhaps going into that cell again would be better than to have the eyes of all these strangers upon her.
'I ... ummm ...' She inched back a little so she was closer to him. 'What should I eat?' She said turning her head so she could look up at him.

Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
It was odd that Catherine was asking him what she should eat, he wondered if she might have thought some where drugged and others weren't - he'd of course choose the safer ones. But he wondered what she felt like.. she probably had her fill of salads.. his hands lightly moved from her shoulders, drifting down her back and gliding over her ripbs to fold softly over her belly. As he held her gently against him, his eyes scanning over the dishes, his lips slowly resting on the back of her head as he thought.
"What do you feel like? There's soups.. steaks, pastas, meats, burgers, fish.. or do what I do and just grab the one closest to you, they're all nice." He whispered with a grin, it was food.. it was mostly all nice and other then his usual eggs and bacon for breakfast he wasn't at all a fussy eater. His fingers traced along the side of her arms until he was able to take hold of the tray she was clutching against her, gently taking it from her and then holding it out in front of him as he moved beside her, ready to take her meal to their table for her.
"We don't have to stay long, whenever you want we can head back to our room." He offered quietly as he had noticed her uneasiness.. though he wasn't blaming her, truth be told Riley himself was nervous of being in this hall.. What if one of those boys who had tried to take her before to force her to sleep with them where around? What if someone knew she was a captive and made a fuss.. he didn't want Catherine to see him get mad at them..
Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
His arms closed over her stomach, she felt safer like this, she didn't want to move, only to slowly melt backwards into his embrace where none of the other people in the room could see her.
'What do you feel like? There's soups.. steaks, pastas, meats, burgers, fish.. or do what I do and just grab the one closest to you, they're all nice.' Her face tilted upwards and slightly to the side so she could look at him as he talked then her eyes flicked down and over the food again. Her eyes lingering for a few moments over a few of the dishes.
She felt him shift his position, sliding his hands from about her waist and taking hold of the tray, she held onto it almost stubbornly for a moment then let him remove it from her grip. Her eyes flicked over to his face once again before her hand reached out streatching towards a plate of pasta in tomato and bazil sauce, it was almost as if she was asking him if she'd made the right choice. His face was impassive, with a slight sigh she picked up the plate and put it on the tray, her eyes skimming over his hands and his arms, she turned slightly red and looked away down at the floor.
She nodded shyly in response to his statement, though she was actually thinking about the way she'd sat so close to him before to feed him, the brush of his lips over her skin.

Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
With the faintest of smiles, Riley walked along side Catherine all the way up to their table, placing her tray down and taking a seat in the bench that was placed along the wall. Riley and Catherine seemed to be on one side of the table and the other four on the other side.. as if giving Catherine her space.
Removing her plate from the tray, and doing the same with his own, he then pushed the trays neatly out of the way at the far end of the table. He had taken a clean glass that was lined in the center of their table and picked up a jug of water, pouring the clear contents into the glass and handing it over to Catherine before serving himself.
"I heard we're taking on Rock Elementals in the next Arena Challenge." It was the first thing that Riley had noticed the others talking about as he placed down the mug and stared over towards Graham.
"They're setting loose two Rocks and Hostile 103, it's gonna be hard." He had replied before noticing Riley staring at him and slowly changing the topic to something else that didn't evolve around demons. Picking up a fork in his left hand, he nudged one of the chicken pieces, but refused to eat until he was sure Catherine was going to feed as well. His right hand rested over the back of her left one lightly, his thumb stroking over it as half listened to Graham and Kristin discuss verious class work assignments they had due. After a moment everyone seemed to have quietend down however, focusing on eating what food they had gathered.
Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
She let her hand reach over for the glass of water, her eyes finding Riley's for a moment, her usually loud and fiery personality seemed to have been doused out by the initiative and she glanced rather nervously around the room in preference to speaking to any of those who were gathered around the table. She didn't look at the girls infront of her, the only contact she'd had with girls over the past few days had been Joan and she wasn't over keen on talking to these new women. They all looked at least a couple of years older than her and especially when they began to talk about assignments she couldn't help feeling rather childish in comparison to them. It wasn't like she could have joined in the conversation anyway, she didn't really understand what they were talking about.
Instead she sat rather quietly with her eyes down cast towards the plate of food, sipping at the water she had held in her small hand. She put it down in exchange for her fork, looking down as Riley's hand covered her smaller one, his thumb brushing over her smooth skin. Trying to be as inconspiquious as possible she started eating, hoping no one in the room would recognise her, come over and start asking akward questions

Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
As soon as Catherine began placing small mouthfull of food into her mouth, Riley began picking up bite sized bits of chicken on his fork and placing it into his mouth, his eyes staring down at his plate of food.
"Well '4. B)' is deffinatly suicide." Forrest replied to a comment made by Jess as Riley picked up his glass and drank - much to his surprise - the entire contents of water... he hadn't drinken all day. He refilled his glass as Graham commented curiously on why Kristin didn't think it was suicide.
"Kristin, it says the hooker was found dead in her room, she was alone, no sign of break in, and she had injected herself with horse tranquilizer.. what more is there to it." Kristin frowned as she thought over Graham's question, Riley placed down the mug of water and held up the glass for him to see.
"There's no water in the room.. it was murder." He stated simply without explaining it any further, he had taken the same assignment before and gotten the answer right.
"..oh well now it's all clear." Forrest stated rather sarcastically, but Riley didn't make himself any more clearer, returning to his food and although he was eating quietly, he seemed to be finishing his meal off rather quickly. When he was done he had placed his knife and force side by side on his now empty plate, pushing it forward slightly.
"Hey, the Acadamy put in a new advanced clay class, we can make pots and things, but mine keep sticking to my hands when I try and scult them.." Jess admitted as she told Graham of her new class she was taking part in at Mass.Acadamy, Riley looked up from his empty plate.
"You have to keep your hands wet, keep your water close by so you can dip your hands in there whenever you feel your fingers are getting dry." Graham laughed, but Forrest only smirked sarcastically as he stared at Riley who had just given pot making advice.
"The demon hunting, pot making, farm boy from Iowa, ladies and gentlemen, Riley Finn." Riley ignored the comment rather calmly as he picked up his glass and too another drink from it, but Graham spoke up as he glanced over at Forrest.
"Don't be a fool, don't you remember, his mum made pots for those town get togethers.. still got the one she gave me." It didn't hurt as much as it normally would have hearing about his parents.. he was going to be able to see them again.. and with Catherine.. Staring down at their hands, Riley couldn't help but think of how she had stroked her fingers across his skin.. He wanted to go back to their room.. he wanted to be able to hold her again..
As a single twitch struck Riley's hand he had quickly withdrawn it from Catherines, closing his eyes as looking away as his head tilted slightly to the side. Leaning his head forward, his hands balling tightly into fists for a moment before his right hand reached for the side of his head as the implant went off at a more painful degree then it had been doing before earlier in the day. He shook his head as Graham stood opn ,pulling his leg from under the top of shifting his position so he was with his legs on each side of the bench, his body facing Catherine. The chip had already stopped and he didn't want any more of a fuss about it, his body slid up closer to Catherines his forehead resting lightly on her shoulder as his fingers once again found their way to her hand, though this time it was his left hand.
"Can we go back to our room? Would you mind..?" His right hand pressed gently against her upper back before his fingers softly took hold of her shoulders. His question was aim directly at Catherine, his face hidden behind her slender shoulder from his friends who where now trying to avoid looking at him since he was appearing highly uncomfortable.
Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time'Well '4. B)' is deffinatly suicide.' She sat pushing the spiral shaped pasta around the plate with her fork, wondering what they were talking about. 'Kristin, it says the hooker was found dead in her room, she was alone, no sign of break in, and she had injected herself with horse tranquilizer.. what more is there to it.' She glanced over quickly at Kristin before her eyes fell again to the mix of pasta and tomato sauce. She put the fork down, her eyes flicking slightly off centre from the plate, she'd eaten before and she felt far to nervous to eat much now. She could feel people looking at her and in her mind they were whispering about her and just about to recognise her.
She tired to make herself as small and inconspicious as possible as she sat there, not wanting to stand out from the crowd, her attention flicking back to the conversation in front of her for a moment.
'You have to keep your hands wet, keep your water close by so you can dip your hands in there whenever you feel your fingers are getting dry.' She didn't understand what they were talking about, she didn't know anything about clay making, infact she didn't know much all together. She couldn't help feeling stupid in front of these people as they talked about classes they'd attended at the Achademy they all seemed to have attended.
She felt him move closer to her, resting his head on her shoulder, one of his hands taking hold of hers, the other moving to rest against her back.
'Can we go back to our room? Would you mind..?' She shook her head.
'No I don't mind.' Her voice was low as if she still didn't want to draw attention to herself.

Re: It's Always Chat time at Dinner Time
It was always polite to stand when a girl was leaving the table, and ever though he was content to simply sit there holding Catherine, she had shifted to move and he almost instinctivly stood to his feet. The girls stood up, soon the entire group moving towards the exit, the hand on Catherine's back now resting on her hip further away from him as if to hold her as close as possible to him while they walk without making it difficult for her to move. The headache had almost completely seemed to fade by the time they reached the door, the group now standing outside the large hall.
"We'll pick you up around 08:00, don't leave your room if you can help it, if you do try and leave a note so we know where to grab you." Riley nodded along with what Graham was saying, his arms having already managed to wrap around Catherine's waist once again, pulling her close against him as he stood behind her. Graham and the others had began to walk off, but Riley quickly pulled his attention away from Catherine and called out to Graham.
"Wait, what about her things I had ask you to-" Graham waved his hand as he walked off, his group heading a different way to Riley and Catherine, they where heading for their training courses.
"They'll be sent back to your room when Annie's done cleaning them! She normally does her rounds during meal times so they're probably already there waiting for you!" They all gave a wave as they disappeared around the corner, Riley glanced down at Catherine.
"I hope you don't mind, you're Uniform was taken to be cleaned and I asked one of my friends to buy you some new things earlier on this morning. I wasn't sure if you wanted some clean clothes to change into.." Taking her hand as he pulled away from her so they could begin walking towards 'their' room.
"Thank you for eating with me." He had spoken almost greatfully, placing his hand now on her shoulder and pulling her towards him even more as he gave her a light kiss on her cheek.
