Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back! - mini review I'm not going to go into all of what happens with Seann, I'm just going to post that it is a hilarious scene that got the most laughs in the theatre when I saw it! He also does have braces.... almost head gear style and after seeing it, I'll never look at his smile the same way again. *LOL* Just thinking about it is making me laugh! Also, about his hair business.... Jay makes a few comments about it in the movie, so watch for that! And I will say that for the record... Seann really is no Bon Jovi.   (And that is all I'm saying on that!)It was too funny! Though, really, his part is small (about a total of 5 minutes in an almost two hour movie)....  Oh! And before I forget, since I know most people on this list will go see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back just to see Seann, you may want to see Kevin Smith's first 4 movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma) because the rest of the movie refers to and has characters from these films, jokes from and about these films. Smith (aka Silent Bob in the movies) took for granted that you've already seen the other movies he's done and doesn't go into explaining who the characters are or what they're doing -- so if you don't know who the characters are, you're going to get lost and confused from the moment the movie starts. A good test of this is, if you don't know what the QuickStop is in regards to these movies, you really, *REALLY* need to see the first four movies. Another road block to all these movies in whole is that if you're not able to see American Pie 1 or 2 -- be it you're too young to or your parents won't let you -- chances you'll be able to see this are low.... As Kevin Smith says, his legacy from these movies will be his insertion of many dick and fart jokes. (While there isn't much sex in this movie, vs. AP2, there is a heavy abundance of foul language and sexual inuendo...) Hope this helps you guys decide whether you're going to see it or not! (Though, most likely you will. *lol*) I thoroughly loved this movie (though Mallrats is still my favorite!) and laughed through the entire thing! It's sad to see this series end.... I've almost grown up with these characters! (I saw Clerks when it first came out 1994 -- I was 14! )**sarah** "Uh... No habla English." ~ Chester "Watch the language, little boy. I have seen Chasing Amy and Dogma so I am definatly going to see this one too !!
Thanks for the review  I am not going to see this movie just bc Seann is in it, but thats one off the reasons..

 grrryou'll never guess what happened to me.... i **LOVE** kevin smith movies.....not a week goes by when i dont watch clerks, chasing amy, mallrats or dogma. so i was **DYING** to see jay and bob strike back. okay? of course my friends dont want me to go see it without them, and seeing as im so loyal i waited until they were free. And guess what? by that time it had LEFT THE GODAMM CINEMA!!!!!!!! so i have to wait 6 months before i can see it. i swear to god, i almost killed my friend for that, i was in tears!!!! lol |
