Jon's Room
Joan's hand gently tapped against Jon's bed room door, her knuckles unfazed by the metallic surface, her other arm still looped threw James arm.
She didn't both calling out or anything, Jon knew it was her, so there was no point in calling any more unneeded attention towards them.
'Why!?' The distraught and angry voice of Bekki demanded down the phone, it was obvious she was either crying or close to tears. Jon's voice held no emotion as he answered.
'Because I like her, because she likes me, because I wanted it to happen.'
There was a sob on the other end, a disjointed, plaintive sound which she obviously hadn't meant to make. There was a sudden silence, he could imagine her chocking back tears upon the other end ... but this was something that he had to do.
'How could you both do that to me!' Her voice held a note of anger which increased as she continued on her rant 'Has the past year and a half meant nothing to you, didn't you love me. Was I just a plaything, something to keep you entertained? How long had you and Cat been going behind my back?' The tone of her voice was slightly more highpitched as she spoke.
'Only the once.' He said, as if that would make it any the better or easier for her to accept. His mind wandering as there was an abrubt pause on the other end of the line as Bekki digested the information. He wondered where Cat was it wasn't in her nature to vannish off without telling anyone, she never did anything without telling Bekki. But then she wasn't likely to tell him, she hardly talked to him anymore and that anoyed Jon. An argument had been long brewing between the two of them but as of yet the circumstances had not yet arisen, Cat had been very careful not for the two of them to be left alone long enough for him to start anything. He knew she'd have blown her lid long ago but she was afraid that he would tell Bekki, well that was done now, done and dusted. He wanted Cat and he always, always got what he wanted. He was going to pull her life apart untill she came to him, begging him to stop.
'I hate you Jon Haloway, I hate you both for doing this to me.' She was full of anger partly at herself she knew that something must have happened, she knew that Cat and Jon had hardly spoken for the last few weeks, that must have been why. She slammed the phone back onto the hook .... at the other end Jon listened unphased to the dialing tone for a moment before he heard a knock upon the door. The sound aroused him from his thoughts and he put down the phone.
He crossed quickly to the door, smiling down at Joan then moving over to James who was stood by her side, his eyes widening as he saw the state the man was in.
'Hell what happend to you?' He asked, drawing the door wider open to allow them to pass inside, his eyes showing more concern for James than he had for the unfortunate Bekki.

Re: Jon's Room
James looked to John as he walked past him, a slight smile on his face, he had a refreshed look about him,
"Nothing much, just freeing my self of some personal daemons" James spoke, his tone was somewhat relaxed.
As James walked past John his eyes caught a glimpse of a computer that sat upon a desk in the room, James' eyes were wide open as he started to look about the room there were so many things that James had never seen nor heard of.
James looked back to John, "Well you seem to have found Aladin's cave" James spoke, his tone was alot lighter than it was when John last saw him,

Re: Jon's Room
Jon looked at his face, smiling again, wondering at how someone could have seen the completley ordinary things in his room. He noticed how wet James was but he seemed not to care as he advanced into the room. Looking for all the world like a little child in a sweet shop, his smile broadened.
'Go ahead, you can look at anything you want.' He said, sweeping his hand out generously, to encompass the whole room, effectively giving him access to everything in the room, even if it did belong to Finn.
He turned back to Joan, closing the door behind her as she stepped inside, it would be best if they at least looked like they were following the curfew. He leaned one hand on the wall next to her head, his body sheilding James from her view, so effectivley it was just the two of them in the room.
'So tell me about this Finn bloke I'm rooming with.' He said offering a conversation subject, hoping that she would not decide to run off. He could smell the intoxicating scent of coccunt again hanging around her as she looked up at him.

Re: Jon's Room
Offering him a gracious smile as he leaned his hand against the wall where she stood, his body cutting her off from James, almost demanding her to stay in the room.
She thought over his question for a moment, studying his face as she replied.
Joan:"He's....a commander. He's gotten into trouble in the past, tried to run away with a girl once, she told him to stay away from her...poor Riley, he came back after that."
She tilted her head slightly as leaned back against the wall, making herself rather comfortable.
Joan:"I hear his in a lot of trouble.."
The way she spoke made it seem she knew exactly what kind of trouble, yet wasn't going to say what exactly was going to happen to Riley even if he asked her.
Joan:"Have you noticed.."
She asked as another amused smile graced her lips.
Joan:"Our names all begin with the same letter."
She leaned forward, her lips gently pressed against Jon's cheek before she turned and moved towards the door, looking back at both the boys before she leaves.
Joan:"You two behave now, remember we have a busy day tomorrow."
She kissed the tips of her fingers and elegantly blew it towards James, flashing another smile at the guys, she then left out the room so they could get some rest...and she had preparations to do for Riley's arrival tomorrow.
Re: Jon's Room
Jon listened, with questions unanswered questions springing into his head at her words. He was sure she wasn't telling him everything, but then Finn would be back tomorrow and he could interrogate the man that night. He wondered what Finn was like, this all seemed very mysterious to him, missions to get the man back? he wondered if Finn didn't want to come or if the mutants were holding him against his will.
'No I hadn't noticed.' He told the slightly elder girl, flashing her another smile, the grin widening as she pressed her lips against his cheek, sending a shiver down his spine. Watching her delicious body as it moved away from him and then just like that she was gone.
He moved away from the door his mind upon her smile and the brush of her lips against his skin, noticing for the first time something was lying on Finn's pillow, he had better move it so James could borrow the bed. He stepped closer and picked the object up .... it was a photograph ....
The frame was made of dark wood, well polished, it was smooth to the touch, he wiped the glass, it was covered in dust. If Finn had been up at the school then he wouldn't have been able to clean it, he used his sleave to wiped the glass free from dust. It was obvious that his photo meant allot to him, or it would not have been in such a prominent place. His eyes found the young man in the center of the picture, that must be Finn, he looks like an aright sort of guy he decided, his eyes sweeping over the others in the picture, a man and woman in their late forties, a black labrador lying at Rileys feet. Personally he hates animals, he couldn't see the point in them if they didn't produce milk or be eaten. Finn must be a farm boy he decided looking at the background of the photo.
He carelessly put the photo down on the side, turning away, the frame teeted and fell forwards landing with a small thud. The treasured possession lying, forgotten by him at once as he turned to James. The man was fingering the top of Finn's laptop curiously.
'Come on James, maybe Finn will show you how to use it tomorrow.' He said shrugging off his top as he spoke, revealing a muscular, golden frame which any man would have been envious of. He changed quickly and then fell into his bed, realizing exactly how tired he was.

Re: Jon's Room
James looked to John as he got ready for bed, James gave one last look to the laptop, it's sleak black texture was apealing to him.
James then took off his wet standard issue clothes and stood by his bed in his black boxer shorts, exposing alarge collection of black metal plugs over his legs and back, that John had not seen before. James picked the wet clothes from the floor and hung them over a radiator, before slipping into Riley's bed,
The warm texture was comforting to James, he soon felt his burdens being lifted and the memories of the days events were drifting away, James was soon fast asleep, the bed side lamp shining on James's face, so that he would not be deprived of the engery that he required to use his powers effectively.

Re: Jon's Room
Jon rolled onto his side, facing away from the bright light James was sleeping under, he was going to say something, but if it helped James to relax and sleep then he could hardly tell the man that he couldn't have it on.
He held an image of Cat in his head while his eyes were closed, one of her at the beach, dressed only in her bikini, small denim shorts and cowboy hat. The wind tossed her golden brown hair over her tanned shoulders as she sat talking to him, tracing a delicate picture in the sand with one finger as she spoke. Glancing up at him from behind sleek black shades, a smile upon her lips.
With a smile he put her image aside in his head and picked up one of Joan. Caressing her with his eyes, wondering what it was like to kiss her. Cat seemed to muddle through kisses like she did with most things, but she had been drunk when he had kissed her. He didn't think Joan would the same problem, she seemed to know exactly what she was doing.

The night passed on with little incident, only a loud clatter that woke the two up, caused by some Initiative operatives breaking curfew and trying to sneak back into their rooms in a Drunken Manner.
*****
James's eyes slowly opened, the curtains to the room were still drawn open and the dull weather out side left the room looking dull and gloomy with only the light from the bedside lamp bringing brightness and warmth to the room.
James slowly sat up in his bed, and rubbed his eyes for a moment and sat looking at the bedsheets and then looked towards John who was still fast asleep.
Once he had mustered all his energy he swung his feet round off the bed and quietly got to his feet, before walking to the radiator and lifted up the standard issue trousers that were drying over night.
The pair of trousers were still damp, but yet he put them on just the same. He then lifted his top which was still cold and damp, he just hung the top over his left arm before tidying up Riley's bed, before walking out of the room.
Quietly closing the door behind him, James turned his gaze to the door to his room, where out side were two heavily built operatives waiting at the door. One of the operatives caught a glimpse of him and tapped on the other's shoulder and pointed towards him.
"Ahhh James, We were wandering where you went to" One of the operatives spoke in a pleasant tone, unaware that he was not so feared of his surroundings any more, thanks to Joan.
James gave them a blank look, his clothes were making him feel cold and miserable like outdoor weather, the other operative took note of look he had given them and continued
"As you know you are being assigned to infiltrate Xavior's Institute, we have provided you with some clothing that is not standard issue so that it would not expose your identity" the two operatives stood aside revealing a small clothes line trolly that was completely hidden from James' view, behind the two bulky operatives.
"Thank you, what is the assembly time for the assignment" James enquired as he smilled appreciativly to the operatives
"0930 hours" the operatives spoke in unison, before taking their leave and walked down the corridor past James. He watched them as they made their way down the corridor and taken a left at one of the intersections.
He turned his gaze back to the clothes line that was ladened with many types of clothes and accessories, he pulled his keycard from his pocket and swiped it in the device, a slight buzz came from the door signalling for James to turn the handle, he turned the handle and removed his keycard from the device, before opening the door and pulling the trolly into his room behind him.
As he entered the room there was a rush of energy through him as the light outside of his room was not bright enough to give him a rush but enough to sustain his strengh.
He wheeled the clothes line into a small alcove in the corner of the wall and picked out a pair of light blue jeans and a black T-shirt, before walking into the small wash room, Where he got himself cleaned before putting his clothes on. He then threw himself onto his bed and starred at the ceiling , taking breaks at regular intervals to check the time.

Re: Jon's Room
ooc: Chris as bio mod I feels it's my duty to point out that out of your forteen paragraphs eight started with the word 'James', thriteen of these contained the word 'James', and you used the word 'James' twenty three times!! get the drift
He scruntched his eyes up against the light which had seemed so weak to James only a scant half an hour ago. Yawning he rolled onto his side, he always slept on his front. It felt strange not to be able to reach out for Bekki, they had got to the stage in their relationship where she had as good as moved into his house, she had been awaiting only a formal request ... but non would come now.
Jon glanced over at his clock, the hands pointed to somewhere in the region of nine. He groaned and clamboured from beneath the sheets his mind falling upon to the topic of Joan, he couldn't wait to see her again. He easily became as infatuated with woman as quickly as he lost interest, it was like that with everything, he'd been given a puppy last year by his parents. But a scant six months later they had given it away when he lost interest. Cat had wanted to take her, she'd fallen in love with the alsation puppy as soon as she had seen her, but Anne despised animals and the flat they lived in wasn't big enough for the dog.
He pulled on his clothes and glanced over at the bed James had slept in, it looked like he had never been there and the man had even replaced the picture carefully upon the pillow. Jon wondered where he had gone, that man was always vannishing off. He decided that James had probably gone back to his room, with the hope that maybe Joan would be waiting out there.
The corridor was empty, his heart sank slightly but he shrugged the feeling off as he walked towards James' room and knocked heavily upon the door, waiting for him to open it, one foot tapping upon the floor.

Re: Jon's Room
The door to rooms slid open and as it did the last time John called by the room the light from the inside flooded the dull coridor's, John screwed his eyes up for a moment waiting for his eyes to adjust, standing in the door frame was james sporting a pair of blue jeans with a black T-shirt with a denim short sleaved shirt trown over the T-shirt the buttons still undone.
"You ready to go to the final breifing" James spoke, panting a bit, having just ran to the door from his bed.
Quote:There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path
He blinked, allowing his pupils to shrink, protecting his delicate eyes from the strong rays of light which stabbed into them. He could make out the shape of James and then seconds later his features and eyes came into focus and he could see the the young man was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.
'Yeah I guess.' He said non comitently thinking that James seemed a bit too eagre to go on this mission, like dog when you get out the lead to walk it, and it would wag it's tail franticaly and run around in circles barking frantically. But then he didn't know how much of the outside world James had seen. Had he even seen the sky which was not through a window, had he taken a breath that did not contain stale recycled air.
He wondered why Finn was being withdrawn from the school, was it his fault there were two dangerous vampires on the loose? The guy had guts and spirit to go undercover into a school full of mutants ... he had seen pictures of what they could do if they were angered. He wondered why it was gonna take so many of them to get him back, surley Finn didn't want to stay there. Jon didn't mind mutants that much but the thought of lying to them didn't appeal that much to him. He glanced at James deciding that he was going to try and stay on his good side .... being friends with a mutant might have it's perks in the future.

Re: Jon's Room
John took a few steps back allowing James to leave the threashold of his room, James then turned round and swipped his keycard through the device that was sittling level with the door handle, a dull buzzing could be heard before a final click, he then tested to see if the door was locked and then turned to face Jon,
"I Wonder where Joan has got to" He spoke looking down the corridors, he had thought that Joan may have come to see them before they headed off for the mission breifing
John didn't reply but carried on down the corridor with James closely tailing him, James had the feeling that there were other things on his mind for the moment.

Re: Jon's Room
He hurried up the corridor not actually sure where he was going, hearing James follow him. He heard the man speak, asking where Joan was ... he was wondering that himself. He was eager to see if she was as beautiful as he remembered, he had been thinking about her all night, imagining what he would say to her when he saw her this morning. Glad that she would be coming on the retrieval mission with them later that day.
His mind fell back to thinking about farm boy Finn and his sparkling picture, he had so many questions and he hoped he would have a chance to ask them before they went.
He glanced over his shoulder, his eyes falling upon James, smiling at him before he looked back infront of him, rewarded by the sight of Joan turning a corner infront of them. His smile brightened as they neared her. He need not have feared, she looked as perfect as she had last night.
'Hi Joan.' He said in a friendly greeting.
ooc: Sorry awful but I didn't know what to post

Re: Jon's Room
He looked down at her, his lips curling themselves into a smile as they walked, feeling her soft skin against his arm. Jon glanced across at James, he seemed to be taking Joan linking arms with him better today ... well he hadn't flipped out and run off yet and that had to be a good sign.
'We were looking for you Joan.' He said his voice low as he looked into her bright eyes. 'But, it seems you found us.'
He was remarkably non plused today especially if you considered the fact that he had just split up with a long term girlfriend and knew that he would have lost his friends in the process. But since he wasn't going back to Washington it didn't really matter to him, he never had to see any of them ever again if he didn't want to.
His smile widening as he squeezed her arm gently as he spoke again.
'And in reply to your other question I slept very well, my bed is very comfortable.' He said suggestively with a wicked grin.

Re: Jon's Room
The group walked down the coridor their arms still interlinked, John had a seductive expression on his face as Joan grinned back at John when James caught a glimpse of John's efforts at flirting with Joan, taking one last glimpse at Joan before looking at the path before them.
Another few turns and several coridor lengths later the group came into a well lit coridor, the light giving an energetic rush to James that Joan noticed when he jutted his arm abruptly taking her attention off of John and their conversation that they were having down the corridors, Joan gave James a concerned look that soon merged into a smile, after he idicated the lights using his eyes.
The well lit coridors seemed familar to James as the ones that they followed to the breifing rooms the previous night the group followed the doors looking for the room that they were to report to room 16540, a futher 10 minutes passed until they came to the correct door, Joan unlooped her arms with both John and James and swiped her id card in the reader the doors slid open with a hiss and Joan walked through closely followed by Jon and then James.
As the group entered the room they were beconned to take a seat by a figure that was engulfed in shadow, the group took a seat and waited for the breifing
