While Clark Kent was always modest, caring and a bit of a geek Kal is his complete opposite. The influence of red kryptonite on Clark has made him greedy and emotionally unstable. Kal likes material possessions and to live in style while Clark is quite happy at home in Smallville. Kal also doesn't feel that there is a need to hide his powers and he shows them off freely, bullying others to get what he wants. He can be cruel even to friends and, although he still has feelings for people such as Lana, harsh words are often exchanged that Clark would never say.
