Kane Munroe ~Tempest~
Character Sheet
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
note:
modifications have been made in the last sentence of the description of his powers. I basically meant the whole judging chances to win from first sight, counting enemies within the glimpse of a second while being able to notice smaller details at the same time kinda thing...

Name: Kane Munroe
Nickname: none as to now (depends on the other players)
Code Name: Tempest
Affiliation: X-Men Blue Strike Force
Gender: Male
Age: looks and physical development ==> about 20; real age ==>11
Hair: white, shoulder length
Eyes: 2, both red
appearance in general: quite a handsome guy ;P but due to *) he has a large scar at the right side of his face (the splinters missed his right eye by a hair's breadth)
Mother: Storm (Marvel)... in some sick sort of way
Father: unknown

Powers:
1st of all he's a pretty quick learner, but that's more a talent than a power.
so as for his mutant power:
similar to his mother's==> control over wind and (limited) water meaning the calling of storms, mists, rain, hail, snow, lightning, different winds etc
- partly even in buildings,
flying; sensing weather changes; in addition, he is able to disintegrate his molecular structure for a very short period of time (up to 3
seconds; he calls it "shattering") which might appear like teleporting. however, in the beginning, he's is not able to do it by will. it happens as a
result of shock. all in all, he is not able to control any of his powers totally when he enters the story and they depend very much on his emotions.
When Kane panics, his subconscious releases all of his mutant powers, hence, violent thunderstorms, twisters, hail and masses of rain...
He is NOT able to manipulate water in general in an extend as eg Bobby Drake (Iceman), meaning Kane cannot freeze small objects. however,
even though it takes a greater amount of power, he can freeze lakes and related water surfaces with the help of cold winds.
Only by will, weather changes against nature are difficult to impossible (at the beginning), hence, monsuns in deserts, hot winds at the poles, ...
His martial arts skills, trained reflexes and related things connected to his assassin/military education are considerable as well.

History:
In his apparently neverending interest for science, Apocalypse once came across the methods of artificial insemination and genetical manipulation.
Being bored of just taking a mutant and changing him into something else, he decided to create a powerful servant to, of course, get rid of the X-Men
by infiltrating them and be a
step closer to world domination. The idea swam somewhere in his mad mind for some decades and occurred to him about 10 years before the RPG
takes place. Again, the X-Men had frustrated one of his glorious plans but this time, they couldn't leave unharmed. The mighty mutant got hold of Storm
whose powers he had adored from the first sight. He removed several of her ovums while she was anesthetized and -having strange ideas of cruelty-
let her comrades rescue her for being later on betrayed by her own flesh would be worse than death.
Using his gained knowlege, Apocalypse created new life and "grew" it in a container filled with an organic liquid which made the child age much faster then usual (with the negative side-effect of speeding the
process of weakened pigmentation of his ancestors up immensly). Furthermore - to avoid mental damages - a happy
childhood and everything necessary to know until the age of 8 was artificially planted into Kane's brain. Being some centuries old, Apocalypse
had realized the necessity of those things for other creatures. However, after a year, as he thought the time for training his new warrior had come, Kane turned
out to be useless. He had the appearance of a 8-year-old but could hardly walk or talk, leave alone use his inherited powers.
His creator gave him to a special school he had opened a while ago to raise his future army (teaching everything from Karate to Physics) and planned to take Storm's son back when he was ready.

Fate goes strange ways sometimes as it did for Kane. While 95% of the school's students were not only extremely dumb but also absolutely devoted
to Apocalypse, there was a small group of rebels named "Blasphemy" who knew what was going on.
Kane found his way in after having catched up to his apparent age (with a little help of special training units and his natural talent). Actually, he started as being nearly as dumb and devoted as those 95% but Blasphemy leader Kiras who was fascinated
by the albino-like figure decided to make him one of them, make him sensible and able to critisize. This was a difficult thing to do as Apocalypse's
brainwashing methods were neat and impossible to reverse by oneself without a proper mutation (as most of the rebels had, the rest had been "taught" the
same way as Kane).
After 5 years, the white-haired had become a regular member of Blasphemy and -as the rest- acted as if he wasn't. They took part in lessons, group
activities etc planning to escape in secret. The school was safer than a state's prison but after all, normal prisoners hardly throw fire .
One year later - Kane looked like 14 but was 7 - the Promised Day had come. Kiras' plan included a couple of free but poor mutants from outside
who did everything for some food. It was a typical movie type of plan: Some weirdos, the victims who had to be freed... and a food supplier or better: his van.
The details are unimportant, it came as it had to come: Something went terribly wrong! One of the guards decided he deserved an extra ration and sneeked
in the vehicle. There, he found the teens and a Bond-like chase began during which due to the panic which got hold of him Kane's mutant powers awakened...

Of 13 rebels, eight survived. Three were captured and brainwashed immediately after,
two died some days later, they had been injured during the chase and there was no one with normal or supernatural healing abilities.
Of 13, three were free and alive, namely Kiras, Melody and Kane who had been injured by a splinter bomb *) but not deadly. Similar to his mother in her childhood days, Kane became a thief to survive as
did the others. They had no place to go, no one to turn to - no family - but one another.
Of course, it was impossible to stay in one and the same city for a long time. Sooner or later, they would have been caught, not by Apocalypse's
people, *this* danger seemed to belong to another life, no... the police.

As time passed, Kane's powers grew stronger but he was not able to control them. It was that time when they began to call him Tempest.
When he paniced or got angry, storm and lightning would arise
and cause destruction all around him; Kiras was the only one who could stop him when he was in this state. He would use his shielding power to
reach the white-haired, embrace him and tell him over and over again that he was safe, that nothing would hurt him as long as the three of them stood together.
Being in New York, they met the Morlocks and Melody, having fallen in love with one of them, left what once had been a rebel group named Blasphemy.
It was only a matter of time until the other two would part as well and as Kiras heard from the Morlocks of Xavier's School of the Gifted, he talked
Kane alias Tempest into going there, learning how to control his power. He didn't want to. The ex-leader was the only family left for Kane, his
only protection. He began to argue, thought about millions of arguments to stay with Kiras and during one of those one sided discussions, the older
one got killed. It was nothing supernatural. No beam of deadly light. No telepathical crush. Just a truck. While talking, Kane didn't pay attention
to the traffic. A loud horn sounded, brakes screeched and he just stood there, staring at the huge vehicle like a deer stunned by a car's lights.
Kiras didn't think, he just acted. Fastly, he pushed his friend aside but couldn't get away himself. Too late for his power to activate. And too late
for the driver to mumble a shocked "I'm so sorry". Tempest's power broke loose and this time, there was no one telling him he wa safe, that they
were a family since what had been left of his "family" lay with open eyes and twisted neck on the streets.
Half an hour later, he fell back on the ground, totally exhausted and crawled in a dark corner fearing the angry crowd that surely would come to
hunt him down. In memory of Kiras, locking his grief about his death deep inside, Tempest decided to attend to Xavier's school...

Personality:
Although he is physically and theoretically brainwise 20 and his mind is not retarded in any way, Tempest sometimes appears to be a grown-up child.
He is usually a very quite, introverted character. He doesn't trust easily and keeps himself of really liking someone as he is absolutely certain
that he would get that person killed - sooner or later. Nevertheless he is caring, protective and surprisingly cynical/sarcastic from time to time; also willing
to learn and innocent in his own strange way. His sense of justice he's got from his mother. His mood can change suddenly like the weather itself.

Likes:
nice, calm days without a cloud in the sky (although he looks like an albino, the sun doesn't have extremely negative effects on his skin);
ice-cream and for some strange reason symphonic metal

Dislikes/Fears:
Shattering (it kinda hurts and just feels *yuk*); narrow rooms; really large men (sth like a vague memory of Apocalypse); THE large blue man, however,
he doesn't know who Apoc. IS, still has some positive image about him in the back of his head

Sample Post:
New York State, Westchester County, around Salem Centre.
Walking slowly, Tempest had other things on his mind than enjoying the April sun which had finally succeeded in defeating hail and rain that had reigned
for days. No one knew for how long, anyway, many mothers had decided it was about time to take their children out to play and maybe have a nice chat
while little Bob built castles together with little Sandy.
The young man wore stonewashed blue jeans a tight white shirt both of which he had stolen some time ago in one of Friscos shopping temples but
not even that was bothering him currently.
Again, the white-haired took a look at the crumpled note that one of the Morlocks had given him a while ago and sighed deeply.
"Mommy, why is that uncle that whi~ite?" ,he heard a high voice nearby asking innocently and the interest of a real scientist.
"Don't look at him, darling... he's surely a mutant!" a woman's voice hissed and as Tempest lifted his head shortly to find out who was talking, he
saw just the back of a mother dragging her small daughter fastly in another direction than he was going. He was used to it. Unlike to other mutants
who just looked normal, Tempest just had something weird about his appearance. He knew it and didn't care much. It kept people away from him
which was good. If no one is close to you, you won't get hurt... and they neither.
In the distance, some hundreds of meters away, a large, white building dominated the image. "That's it..." he muttered and realizing WHAT he saw,
panic began to rise. *What if they don't like me? What if they don't want me? What if they can't help me? What if they don't WANT to help me?*
The sun disappeared behind dark clouds. Thunder rumbled as an old fear returned. *What if they send me back THERE? What if that big blue guy
belongs to them?!* From one second to another, rain began to fall and chased all those people who had come outside to enjoy the
mild weather back home. Flashs splitted the black sky and Tempest stopped, looking up. "N-o-n-s-e-n-s-e!" he said loudly and tried to convince
himself of the contrary to what he was thinking. He took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Immediately, the thunderstorm stopped and
except for a few the clouds disappeared. Still there was doubt left as the soaked man gathered all his strength and pressed a button saying "principal".
A large sign made of stone near the entrance to those green grounds read "Prof. Xavier's School of the Gifted"...

Life can be like a stone thrown in the sea. It creates waves, maybe changing something, maybe not, but no matter what it causes, every single wave will disappear into nowhere... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
