Killer Ducky's Road Trip review..

ROAD TRIP
The Gist: 5 out of 10

Just what does anyone expect from Road Trip besides poopy jokes, naked women and sex? If you want anything else from a movie go elsewhere. Road Trip is funny and tasteless, just like it should be.

The story is told to us by permanent college student Barry (Tom Green) who steals the movie with his funny fascination with a snake and his food. As Barry tells the story to a group of freshman students he adds plenty of naked women and some of his own adventures. When someone questions the validity of the naked women he barks at them that it's his story and he'll tell it as he sees fit.

Barry's story is this: Josh (Brekin Meyer) is college student who makes a sex tape with a girl and sends it to his longtime girlfriend by mistake. He's in upstate New York and she's in Texas so he sets off to get the tape with his pals before she sees it. So they go on a road trip in which they inevitably run out of money, find weird ways to raise money, meet some wacky people and their lives are changed (maybe).

Along for the ride is the obligatory geek (D.J. Qualls), the cool party guy E.L. (Sean William Scott) and a brainy Rubin (Paulo Costanzo) who constantly smokes pot to relax from the pressure of being a genius.

Amy Smart plays Beth, the girl in the video tape and Anthony Rapp plays Jacob, Beth's jealous stalker. A role that would have been played by James Spader a few years ago.

Happily, there's no special or touching moments. The characters work well together and are all likable enough to make the movie very funny even through some scenes that don't work out. The ending was a bit flat but it really doesn't matter since we all know the tape is just an excuse for the filmmakers to send the characters on the trip in the first place. Road Trip is a fun mindless piece of entertainment.
