Killer of art.
Marilyn Manson is an artist. He is expressive, and he is a role model for many kids that are looked at as "different". He is not only a singer, he is a painter, and a beautiful writer. His journal entries are ingenious to say the least. Perhaps you hate him because since you were small you were brainwashed by how people are "supposed" to act to be "normal". He is not only an angry Christian-hating anti-American. You should listen, or at least read the lyrics to songs such as "Spade", "Speed of Pain", "Coma White", "Coma Black". These songs reveal his more hurt side. He is a very deep and intelligent person.
You sure have a strange definition of "role model". A guy whose claim to fame is pissing off parents and religious fundamentalists. Wow. I'm soo impressed. Not to mention the way he treats his worshippers/fans. I just can't respect someone who pisses and spits on his audience at concerts. I don't even want to get into the whole "Kill your parents" propaganda he started with his T shirts. no, Marilyn Manson-Menendez is NOT a role model....at least not by any sane person's definition.

The kill your parents thing is definitely humor. If people think that everything he does and says is truth they are ridiculous. He like any human jokes and likes to mess with people. I guess he just needs to use the shock. People have gotten so blind to themselves that they need a punch in the face so they can notice to open their eyes. The bible says "turn the other cheek" and also says "eye for an eye." There seems to be hypocrisy and false images everywhere. I don't blame you for not liking Brian. Just a lot of your complaints are opinionated -- as well as subjective. Ripping up bibles may be bad -- to some people. But personally I think that the 7th heaven show portrays atheists as lost and confused people. To me that is a bad image, everyone is going to have an opinion -- you just enjoy what you connect to.

I agree 100% percent with GoldenAgeOfGrotesque, as for Spike, I think you have issues. He is a role model, he brings people out of depression, he does not induce it as many people claim. It seems that you cannot take a joke. So what if he pisses and spits on his fans at concerts? It's not like he's physically harming them is it? Besides, you don't see anybody complaining about that do you? which means that either you're the only one who's got issues against him enough to care, or you just have something up your ass so far that you have to whine and bitch about everything you don't like. Life is full of things we don't like, live with it. I think that you don't want to read most replies because you know that you will get owned and then you won't be so high-and-mighty anymore
