K's Choice: 10 year anniversary release of new CD & DVD
On the 10th anniversary of their first album release, K’s Choice celebrates a decade of recording with ”10”, a DVD chronicling their rise to international stardom, and ”10”, a CD featuring the band’s singles, rare tracks, fan favourites and a brand new song destined to become a classic. The DVD includes exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the band in the recording studio, concert footage, interviews, every k’s Choice music video ever produced, a full-length live concert, TV appearances and more.
Just a couple of weeks to go and the new k's Choice CD and DVD "10" will be available. The official release date is September 29th. Both CD and DVD will be released in the following countries: Belgium, Holland, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Israel, Sweden, Greece and Italy.
What can you expect on "10", the CD
The CD is a compilation of 15 k's Choice songs that have marked the career of k's Choice between 1993 and 2003, including the new single "Losing You" as well as "Virgin State of Mind", a thrilling song which was only released in 1999 on the Original Soundtrack of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Track list: Losing you, Not An addict, Believe, Almost Happy, My Heart, The Ballad of Lea and Paul, I Smoke a Lot, Little Man, Another Year, Mr. Freeze, Dad, Wait, If You're Not Scared, Everything for Free, Busy, Virgin State of Mind, Until I'm fine, God in My Bed.
What can you expect on "10", the DVD:
10 – the DVD – is not just a compilation of videoclips… it's much more than that. 10 is a double DVD (2 discs) which gives you a complete chronological view on the band's career, from the very first year until the very last tour, including footage from the Polyfoon and Amstel gigs earlier this year, a full k's Choice concert (filmed at the Paradiso in Holland last year) as well as every k’s Choice music video ever made.
Disc 1 contains the full history of k's Choice divided in 4 main chapters preceded by a general intro.
Intro
The Great Subconscious Club (1993-1994)
Paradise In Me (1995-1997)
Cocoon Crash (1998-2000)
Almost Happy (2001-2003)
Be prepared to see some very exclusive footage, such as the band's very first TV appearances, tons of backstage and studio footage, and all of this while Sarah, Gert, Jan, Koen and Eric give their comments on the different stages of the band's career.
The total running time of the history part is approximately 155 minutes (more than two and a half hours!)
As a bonus feature on Disc 1 you will find the "moving pictures" section which is a compilation of amazing shots of the band edited to the song "Winners". Most band DVD's have a photo book with a compilation of still pictures… here you will find, what you could call “a video book” with moving pictures that will move you!
All menus are animated and based on Gert's drawings. For the first time, Gert's little figurines will come to life!
Disc 2 contains the band's concert in Paradiso (Amsterdam) on August 9th 2002, all k's Choice videoclips ever made and a bonus section called "side projects" which gives a view on an impressive series of side projects Sarah and/or Gert where involved in.

Side projects
The Paradiso concert, mixed in 5.1, includes the unique "key mode function" which gives you the opportunity during the concert, by means of your remote control, to switch to the band members' comments on the song playing. The concert resumes after the interview.
The video section shows you all k's Choice video clips ever made (15) with a multi-angle possibility for Not an Addict as this video is available in three versions. With your remote control you can switch between the three different versions of the video during playback.
List of music videos: Me Happy, I Smoke a Lot, The Ballad of Lea & Paul, Breakfast, Not an Addict (3 versions), Mr. Freeze, Dad, Believe, Everything for Free, If You’re Not Scared (live), Almost Happy, Busy, Losing You.
The bonus feature on disc 2 is the "Side projects" chapter. Here you will find a 25 minutes compilation of exclusive footage covering a very interesting series of side projects, duets, studio recordings,… which were not necessarily band achievements but did definitely colour Sarah and Gert's musical career so far.
If you have never seen Sarah's duet with Frankie Miller back in 1994, Sarah's contribution to different soundtracks or Gert performing Shadowman with a 65-piece orchestra at the Doctors without Borders event last year (to give just a few examples), it's all there! And your host for this compilation is... Sarah, giving you more details about each project.
Say you can’t wait to see it… you’re absolutely right !!
The DVD is region 2 coded (PAL) and the picture format is 4:3 for all chapters except for the concert which is 16:9
