Lost Keys
@#%$ i hate it when you lose yr keys somewhere in the capital city of victoria while out drowning your sorrows because no record stores in the whole town have got the new Loader CD. I especially hate it when you get someone to send you a spare car key so you can get home and then that goes missing somewhere in the courier service used and the next thing you know you are forking out $125 to get a mobile locksmith to hack your car to bits so he can cut you a new key, only to find out later that night that the missing courier key did turn up after all.
happened to anyone else?

No, but once we were on tour (Adelaide, I think) and some idiot (RB?) locked the keys in the Budget Commuter. No one could get into the car so we thought "@#%$ it, we'll have to smash a window". Being the incredibly smart blokes that we are, we thought we'd smash the smallest window of the van (that being the little bastard near the spastic seat on the left hand side) thinking it would be cheaper to replace.

Smashed the window, opened the van, went to Budget Adelaide to get the window repaired, only to be told that that was the MOST expensive window we could have broken, and that it would have been cheaper to smash the @#%$ windscreen than that stupid-arse window near the spastic seat on the left hand side. SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A TINY @#%$ WINDOW. Ah, how we laughed.

Front End Loader - making all thge right choices since 1992.

PS I have no idea why there aren't any albums in Melbourne - Shock are BASED in Melbourne for chrissakes. Email Redline and complain - I warned them about this....

lost keys/shock
My condolences to all - sounds like an absolute bastard of a thing.
Can I just put in my two cents (a la Kent Brockman of the Simpsons) and say when I ordered a copy of the new LP at my fave record store, the fella behind the counter said something along the lines of "oh, that's via shock - they're called that because they're shocking to get stuff from." when I asked (with a sinking feeling) how so, he said "they take ages to send stuff & occasionally it gets deleted before they send it, sorry to tell you." Ay carumba!

Re: lost keys/shock
yeah, we all know shock have a poor reputation. there are a number of horror stories worth recounting, most of them dating back to the stoopid parallel importing legislation shenanigans. it was intruiging that around the time of those farnarklings seBADoh distribution was stoped; loader records vanished (i never even saw the 'Last of the V8......' bonus disc as promised in Beat) but Aaron Carter and the best hits of the WWF were embraced as though that had been the Shock ethos all along.
AND ANOTHER THING.... it does not make sense that 'being john malkovich' and 'memento' did not win best original screenplay oscars. grrrrrrrrrrr.
