MEPD shirts
With all the posts about different theme shirts, I was thinking it would be cool to have a Mos Eisley Police Department shirt. Not only could we ID ourselves as 501st members, but also as fellow sandtroopers. Comments on this? Anyone have cheap access to T shirt-making people/supplys/things?

Re: MEPD shirts
Yeah, I agree that black shirts need to be the basis. I was thinking that we could put something like "Got Dirty Armor?" on the front, or maybe have just the words "Mos Eisley Police Department" on there. On the sleeves, we could put the patch picture, with the word (staff, member, trooper, etc, what ever gets deemed OK), and on the back put a big cog. I want something more Tattoine-ish, or sandtrooper-like, though. OOh, wonder if we could make a black/white image of a dity, sand-filled cog. Hmm, I'll have to try that.
Any other ideas/comments?
Who made or came up with the patch picture/idea? It's great. Wondering about input from them.

Re: MEPD shirts
why don't we work up a couple of designsand then present them to the membership through the yahoo group for a vote. As far as input from the person who designed the patch I had a major falling out with him/his group so I don't think that will happen but then again he lurks this board so maybe he will pop his head up

How about these? Mix and match fronts and backs, or parts, or add new ideas. Post your comments.

Re: MEPD shirts
I like B as well, front and back. Tonfa is right, Police should not be spelled in english on the shirt.
As the creator of the MEP patch design, I am always happy to help. (provided our personal issues dont get in the way.)
Anyhow. I love the idea of the dirty snowflake design. And one of my first thoughts was also using a tan shirt, or tan ink on a black shirt. Is there a significant price increase in the screen printing if they use white and tan ink?

I added in the '501st legion' words, because all other words are in aurabesh. Which is fine, but nobody else knows what the heck it is!
After I made the designs, I too saw the danger in having 'police' spelled out in english.
I am guessing that the price to make a shirt like this would be the same, based that we would be using one color of ink. I would think the price would rise with every new color we would add. I am just guessing on that. They may charge a bit more because a tan shirt is not 'standard' color, but, again, I'm just guessing. Does anyone actually know about printing these things?

I don't know about printing prices but I like the design...I like that it is one color because it gives it a more spartan, militaristic-minimalist look.
As far as no one knowing what the aurek-besh on the back says that will just make people ask, which will give us an opportunity to tell people about the 501st and the MEPD. Plus we will all know what it is...kind of a fraternal sort of thing
Also any chance we could make the dirty snowflake a touch smaller, lower it so that it is dead center on the back of the shirt and make the aurek-besh POLICE a point or two larger
My wife just said she would look into doing it for us...it is just one color so it shouldn't be too hard

So, do you want the English on there or not?

I just threw that stuff together in Photoshop. If someone can print these things, someone can try to make more 'dead on' graphics for it. I've seen silk screening stuff at the craft store, but I remember it being pretty expensive. I'll have to check into it again.

Re: MEPD shirts
we definately want to keep the english off except for the 501st stuff...and yeah it is pretty expensive but my wife wants to get into it anyway...she has some projects she wants to try

Hey Shawn keep me updated on how this goes. I may want to do some Tusken Shirts with the Krayt Clan logo on them.
Another thing to think about is getting the shirts printed then doing a Tie Dye like the liquid blue shirts. They look really cool and you could use different shades of brown and yellow.

Yeah, sorry. The server I put everything on (including my Email) is no longer. It is an ex-computer. If anyone wants to see the pics, I can Email them to you. Until I can secure another server.

I'd really like to see a copy of the regular "got Armor" shirt but in white with black letters and the white shirt "Dirtied" up like a real sandtrooper wore it in the sand!
