MSM
Hey, Rog, (told ya I'd show up here soon!)
I am using a fair amount (3000mg/daily of MSM to help recuperate from a nasty rotator cuff repair. Do you think it's appropriate to continue taking Glucosamine/Chrondroitin, as well? Also, would you agree that Deca is a better choice than EQ when joints are a problem?

Hey bud,

Rog doesn't do this column but let me give you a partial answer to your question:

Regarding MSM, if your rotator cuff repair was muscular, the MSM will have little effect. If the repair concerned cartilage work, then yes there will probably be some benefit in taking it. Be aware however, (according to my orthopedic surgeon) MSM is more effective on lower body joints (med science doesn't know why), so your benefit might not be as great... But, in any event, it's inexpensive enough and it won't hurt. As far as the roids are concerned, you'll need to get hold of Big Rog o that one.

Hope you heal quickly

Thanks for your response! I can't see that it would be detrimental to my recovery! As far the gear issue is concerned, I could go on for hours about that. I've done 'em all in my career! My only concern for us "SOB's" is that oil injected into the bloodstream is going to raise your LDL cholesterol and could cause unwanted coronary plaque. I use Zocor to control that!
