MY PATHETIC MESSED UP LIFE!!
AGHHH!!!!!!! so glad there is a place for me to vent! my life is in a rut i'm goin nowhere! aghh!!! just one bad thing after another. actually i've been sort of enjoyin life as of late. as of yesterday actually. But if my life isn't messed up its pathetic. downright pathetic. I'M A HERMIT!! I spend waaaaaay to much time in my studio staring at four walls. Or this screen. A perfect examply of how pathetic my life can be- yesterday evening was the best i've had in a long long long long time...and i spent it alone making my dinner, eating and watching tv and working on sketches -alone- (my sister likes to throw it in my face exactly how alone i am), folding laundry and scrubbing dishes. I really do need to spruce up my life....but hey, i'm not complainin, at least right now its boring instead of really messed up like it typically is. *knocking on wood* i don't want to jinx this one. ok actually i was complaining. but now i feel a teensy better

Sorry you havent had a good few days. I agree with tash, This is your life and you do what you want to do. Noone should tell you how to live your life. But vent here as much as you want, I know how hard it is to let out feelings to people i know. some wont understand. Hope things start to look brighter for you.

If you don't like your life, you can change it. Whenever I feel down or depressed, I just remind myself that somewhere, somebody has it worse. If you have food, shelter, clothing, the basic necessities of life, then be thankful for how small and petty your problems really are. At least you're not a POW in some war-torn third world nation whose entire family is facing execution... Feeling better now? Pardon my sarcastic wit, but I find this approach to be extremely uplifting...

Its not always so easy to change. especially the past. i admit i am lucky compared to alot of people. and i do try the method laurie mentioned. the past is what haunts me. Believe me i'd give anything if i could change it...

Its hard to give up the past, but its not nessessary to hold on to it. It is already done and there is nothing you can change. The future is what you need to focus on. Things that happen in our lives happen for a reason, we do not know why they happen but they do. The more happier and better feeling you are the better your life will start to run. Ive always dwelded on the past and for a long time couldnt live my life properly. If you have love in your heart and do the things you really want to do, then you should have no problem.

I have to agree with the others here Mistie. No one can change or mend past events, but dwelling on them can only do further harm. You're in charge of the future. Don't fall into the trap of the tortured artist syndrome. Enjoy your studio, your work, your talent and above all YOURSELF! You say you're a hermit - that's the life I want to retire to! After a lifetime of nagging family members, grumpy but loving husband and demanding teenagers - I relish the day that I have my own place and my own sense of solitude and peacefulness. Appreciate the gifts you have and more good things will flock to you.
