Powers:
Retractable Claws: Like her father, her brother and little half sister, Madison was born with the bone claws that are a trademark of the family. She has nowhere near as much control over them as her family members do and quite often her claws wont come out when she called for them and other times they’ll come out when she least needs them.

However, they have undergone an ‘upgrade’, courtesy of A.Corp, and are now coated in adamantinum (an indestructible metal) along with the rest of the bones in her arms. This means they are much more sharper than previously and more dangerous to those on the other end of her claws. She still doesn’t have full control over her claws.

Synchronization: The power inherited from her mother, Michelle, that enables Madison to absorb other mutants powers and use them as she wishes. Absorption of powers is done by going near other mutants and is done almost automatically but when tired and weak it takes more of an effort to absorb. Also, Madison is able to sense other mutant powers around her to know what she’s absorbing.

Once a power is absorbed Madi can use it and more often than not she can use the borrowed power better than the original owner of the power. Of course, Madison cannot keep the power forever, most powers last for around 24 hours more or less though as she gets older Madison will find that powers she absorbs more often than others she can keep for longer.

Enhanced Healing (Slightly): Another gift from her father, along with the claws, but her healing is nowhere near as fast as either her father, brother or sisters healing power. Her healing does the same work as her family members healing by fixing up all wounds to make her as good as new, it just works around half as fast which is still much faster than someone without this power.

History:
Madison Kate Enright was born little over a year after her brother, Connor, and she wasn’t too bad a daughter in her first few years of life. She was actually friendly towards others of her own age a little selfish at times but she wasn’t too bad. Actually, life overall wasn’t too bad in her eyes in those first four or so years since she didn’t quite see nor understand her father’s neglect since she was already spending time focusing on herself and not those around her. However, seeing how Logan made Michelle cry at one stage Madison knew that he wasn’t being a good father. Daddy’s weren’t supposed to make Mummy’s cry.

Although it didn’t quite click that Arisa (who had been the result of a cruel trick Mystique played on Wolverine) was something that caused a distance between her parents. But when told that they were gaining a brother or sister who wasn’t a child of their mothers, Madison wasn’t happy. That meant she wasn’t the youngest child of Logan anymore, all the attention wouldn’t be hers and everyone would be focusing on a baby more than her, not that she really got much attention from her father nowadays anyway. At least she wasn’t the only one not pleased with this as Connor didn’t seem to like the idea of a new family member being on the way.

However, once a little blue elf-like baby was born Connor seemed to change his mind about the newest addition to their family. Madison noticed this straight away as he began to get eager to meet Arisa, this did not please her in any way. Not only was she going to lose the attention of all the adults, but now Connor was going to love Arisa more than her! It just wasn’t fair in little Madi’s eyes so she decided to do the only thing that seemed reasonable to her... Kill!

When Connor and Madison finally got a chance to sneak a peak at Arisa, she followed after her brother to do so. Looking at Arisa she saw nothing in her, she had seen blue people before in Doctor McCoy and Kurt Wagner so the blueness was nothing new to her, so why was there such a fuss over the tiny blue fuzzball?

To make her suspicions of Connor loving Arisa worse she was witness to his vow of protecting her. Her jaw dropped slightly upon hearing his words. The next thing she knew, Connor had gotten distracted with the adults conversation and now she had a chance to put her plan into action. Getting into a better position over Arisa, Madison put all her focus into releasing her claws and soon enough they came out. A slight wince came as the bones coated lightly in blood from her hands sliced through her skin, but it was only to be short term pain for the long term gain, or so she thought.

Before her claws could even cause any harm to the baby, Arisa screamed and the adults all turned around to see what Madison was up to. Logan pulled her away as she tried a quick swipe and as much as she tried, or screamed, Madison couldn’t wriggle free of her father’s grasp. This didn’t please Madison and sent her to even more of a cranky mood than she had previously been in. She didn’t understand, her father wasn’t too happy with Arisa being around, wasn’t she doing him a favour? Her grumpy mood got worse when Connor wouldn’t speak to her for the remainder of the day.

That was the first of many incidents between the two sisters. From that day Madison grew a passionate hate towards Arisa from a jealousy of losing attention of those around her, it didn’t help with Connor spending more time with Arisa than her. At times Madison would ask Connor to play with her but he said that he was to busy looking after Arisa, who by now spent a lot of time in their house, to play. He knew that she was having trouble making friends since her selfishness was growing and that he was the only one she actually had fun with, so it made her upset that he would rather spend time with the little blue baby than her. This is where her dislike towards everyone else grew from. There was no point in liking anyone else since they would, sooner or later, find someone else to like more instead of her. She was young when she came to that conclusion but was smart enough to know that people could hurt your feelings and didn’t want that to happen to her, so if she didn’t have anyone liking her no one could hurt her.

At least the young Enright’s became the brother and sister they used to be over some time, which mainly included the times when Arisa stayed at the institute. Though, Madison still got jealous and upset when she did return and Connor spent time with her but as much as she hated seeing him with Arisa Madison hated knowing that they could be alone. What is he forgot about her with he played with his youngest sister? That was a risk she wasn’t ready to take.

As if life wasn’t hard enough growing up as a mutant child it was about to take a turn for the worse when the three siblings were at ages 10, 9 and 6 when they were left home alone for around three days. Three long days since Michelle couldn’t take Arisa away from Connor, Madison had to spend all her time near Arisa and this wasn’t good for either of the young girls. They were alone because their mother had been viciously attacked by a group of mutant haters and Logan hadn’t come to pick them up since he decided it was best that the children didn’t know, not thinking that it probably wasn’t the best idea to leave his three children all alone in a house. At least the dining was good of that time with all the junk food getting eaten as meals!

On the third day Logan finally came to pick up his children and they could clearly tell that something was wrong. The look on his fathers face could clearly tell them that something was up since he often hid what he was thinking. However, on the ride from home to the institute Madison started a fight with Arisa, forgetting that anything was wrong. Causing Arisa to cry pleased Madison and a pleased smile crept on her face from seeing the tears. Connor didn’t see the amusement from it and Madison received looks from him, which made her feel partly guilty for causing her little sister to cry and that only made her get sulky.

Once at the institute, the three mutant children were lead to the underground and restricted section of Xavier’s. While she was still sulking at the fact Connor was carrying Arisa, Madison couldn’t help be look over to him in wonder as he did the same to her as their minds tried to figure out what was going on. They knew it wasn’t a good thing, it was obvious with the mood lurking around them but what it was, was probably something they wouldn’t have expected.

Their trip of the restricted area came to an end when they stopped at medical room. It wasn’t like the other one that they normally went to for check-ups, it was much more advanced but the fact it had better facilities didn’t seem to awe the children since they were more focused on why Michelle was lying on one of the medical rooms beds. It was now obvious that the bed thing that had worried their father was something that had happened to the mother of Connor and Madison. Instantly, they rushed to her side and stayed by her side, refusing to leave for a decent meal even when they, and their stomachs, knew they needed one. How could they leave her when she wasn’t her usual self? The life that she emitted was gone and a weakness was about her.

Unfortunately, the next day brought Michelle’s death. This was certainly the most upsetting day in their lives so far and the Enright children actually cried. The tears felt strange and alien to them since even as a baby they rarely cried.

For some time after her mother’s death, life seemed to become so still. Madison didn’t have the energy to bother to argue with Arisa and the same went for Aris. There was no use, their heart wasn’t in it for the time being and it would only make Connor more upset. He was taking the worst out of the three, not only being upset about the death, but angry since Logan hadn’t told them what had happened until she had a day left of life.

Though you can never linger too long with sadness after a death, you must continue with life and that is what happened. This, no surprisingly, brought back the constant fights between Arisa and Madi. But there was a surprise in how Connor seemed to be filling in for the empty roles their mother left behind. He put so much time into his sisters that he didn’t worry about himself, though Madison didn’t seem to mind. Though she did see it was taking its toll on Connor, even though he wouldn’t admit it. Even their father could see it (after a year or so however) and then all three of his children were given an equal share of duties, something Madison didn’t like.

However, Madison got used to her duties everything seemed to get easier as the continued on with life without a mother. And since the children had been to the restricted area of the school they received the whole tour of the underground section of the school thus being introduced to the Danger Room. Ever since her first training session in there Madison fell in love with that place and can still be found in there if she’s not pestering others. It was during her first few years of training that Madison gained her codename ‘Wolverette’, her father had one and so did Connor so she wanted one too.

It was also during these years that Madison discovered how appealing the opposite sex could be as well as discovering the art of flirting. Even with her personality she was able to pick up dates with guys she had classes with. It wasn’t too often, but she enjoyed them while they lasted. Madison even began to look at guys who lived outside of the institute since they were more like complete strangers and it was fun and also a challenge to go after them. This alone was a new learning curve for her as she learned that men weren’t always what they seemed, no matter how good looking they were and more importantly those that weren’t mutants weren’t as accepting of mutancy’s as the guys previous to them, which Madison had found out on one occasion when her claws had slid out while she was on a date. The guy couldn’t be blamed for getting frightened, it’s not as if every guy expects their girlfriend to have bone claws come out of her hands. but he didn’t have to be so rude about it. It was that that made Madison get upset over things, it didn’t help her feel any better when she returned home and had Connor bugging her to find out what had happened. She noticed that he seemed to be getting nosy about the guys who were spending time with his sister and knew that he was only looking out for her, but she wasn’t in the mood to explain things. Eventually she told him what had happened and that only made him even more of a sticky beak when it came to Madison and guys.

At sixteen Madison got a new room in the girls dorms so she could be away from Arisa, shortly after Connor had gotten himself his own room. They were growing up and three teenagers living together 24/7 is hard enough when they’re normal humans, but being mutant had an added factor of hardness. It was great that she had her own room, she could keep it as messy as she liked and no one would care and the best part was that there was no blue fur everywhere!

Just because they didn’t live under the same roof, didn’t mean Connor, Arisa and Madison didn’t see much of each other with the main thing Madison noticing was that while Madison could get a guys attention, Connor could also get a girls attention. This was evident when one girl kept hovering around him. It was time for him to stop asking Madison about dates and find out on his own as she forced him to go out and talk to girls that weren’t Arisa or herself. Connor wasn’t too sure of this, but when both Arisa and Madison ganged up on him he had no choice but to follow their orders.

It was pleasing to hear that Connor finally got his first date and Madison decided that she could pestering the next day about it, like he did to her, in revenge. In the end she didn’t have to wait to go and ask him, since her brother came to her room late that night, a little spooked. Curiously Madison asked what had happened, Connor refused to answer any of her questions and she decided to stop them from coming and the two siblings just sat there silently, Madison’s thoughts trying to figure out what had happened, until they both fell asleep.

For around a year, Madison seemed to stay clear of guys only flirting every now and then to the boyfriends of girls she didn’t like to annoy them. However, this stopped when she began to fall for another second generation X-Man in Lachlan Summers. He also noticed her and soon enough he conjured up the courage to ask her out, even though his friends said it was crazy for him to even like Madison.

From the start they both knew that they were the complete opposite of each other but that didn’t seem to cause any problems, Madison actually could even open up to him but not to an extent as she did with Connor but it was still very good for Madison. You could say that he was the first guy she ever loved but it was not to last. Small fights began to start a few months into their relationship and Madison, being the expert in them as she is, couldn’t help but make them worse. To Lachlan’s defence he was very good about them, he understood what she was like and took none of it to heart but there was one fight, which was about something so stupid that neither remembers what it was about that brought the end of things between the two young mutants.

You see, Lachlan could never raise his voice because when he yells his voice manipulates the sonic waves around him and that causes damage. Madison was right in his view when he yelled and was on the receiving end of a fatal blow that blew her backwards to the ground where she laid there until Lochie took her to the med bay and that was where she woke up.

He felt terrible about what he had done as he prided himself in not getting worked up over things and he never wanted to hurt someone from just getting angry like that and Lachlan feared that he would hurt Madison again so the following day he broke up with her. This broke Madison’s heart though she wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but it was evident in how she locked herself away for a few days apart from leaving to go get food and release anger in the Danger Room. To make things worse, he left shortly after their brake up and Madison sees that as the cowards way out of avoiding any conflict.

To be added: What’s happened during Role Play, I’m too lazy to do that after writing out the history!

Personality:
Not really the best person to meet when you first arrive at Xavier’s unless you want to be treated like dirt. Madison has a tendency to judge everyone before getting to know them, taking a strong dislike to them right away or if you’re lucky she’ll go straight to hate, so even the best of first impressions would be wasted on her. From this she is not really a likable person of the institute but that doesn’t seem to bother her since she couldn’t care less about everyone else. Though, she can put her energy into others in arguments or sessions on the Danger Room!

Madison mainly cares about herself above everyone else and tends to do things to benefit herself without bothering to think how her actions might effect others. Even when she looks as if she’s doing something for someone else there’s always something along the line that has benefit her herself.

Since she had been trained not to show emotion Madison has kept that up quite well, even covering some of her own feelings from herself. She does show a lot of anger however, with every other feeling of hers being turned into some kind of anger so no one can see what she is really thinking. This makes her angry a lot of the time, but at least she’s not sowing what she’s really thinking so it can’t cause any troubles for her.

With her family, Madison is close to Connor as he is the only one who actually understands her. He’s the only person she trusts, yet she is still not the best sister with him. With Logan, Madison wants to make him proud of her but doesn’t know how, besides she’s rarely seen him over the past few years so it’s not even as if he’s there. Towards him she tends to show no emotion, unsure of where she stands with him. Lastly there’s Arisa, who Madison doesn’t like one bit. The only time she’s happy around her is when they’re fighting (if you can call that happiness). Of course, when Michelle was alive Madison adored her mother.

Likes:
- Herself, she tends to put herself before anyone else
- Training sessions in the Danger Room
- Her brother Connor, he’s really the only person she talks to and trusts
- The strong, she admires them
- Causing trouble

Dislikes:
- A lot of people, including Arisa, Frost and Shalimar
- When her claws releasing themselves
- When her claws don’t come out when she wants them to
- Being stuck with those she doesn’t like
- Weaker mutants, they’re not as fun in the Danger Room
- Mutant haters, they killed her mother and that’s more than enough of a reason to hate them

Sample Post:
(My original sample post was from ages ago and was the worst of the wors-*Remembers her old Digimon posting days* Well, maybe not that bad... but it was still crappy, so now you get to read one of my recent Madi posts since I’m too lazy to write a new one!)

Sitting on the X-Jet proved to quite the bore, even as short as the trip from the mansion to the special training isle was. Madison wasn’t one who liked to sit still for too long, hell, even in a deep sleep she couldn’t stay still for the entire night always tossing and turning as if she wasn’t getting a good nights sleep when she actually was. Though there was no point in getting up and walking about, she had done that when she was young and first went in the jet and had gotten told off by her father for doing so, so she sat silently with arms folded and her head being thrown back every few minutes with the frustration of boredom when she noticed that Storm was yet to lower the jet to a landing area.

Before the middle child of the legendary Wolverine stepped out of the jet she clearly heard Ororo’s warning to be careful when stepping out, but of course Madison chose to ignore that as she virtually always did with advice and found her short leather boots coated in the swampy mud after a few short steps. A displeased smirk crossed her face as she raised her left foot to see the damage done to the boot. That was great, just great! Madison never had any luck with any of her clothing: her clothes were constantly getting ripped and torn from her claws coming out when not wanted and from training, then a jumper of hers was coated in blood as she used it to try and help Michael from losing too much blood when Connor had stabbed him a few days back when they were up for sale in the Harmony Market and now swampland was destined to ruin what she was wearing for the next two days in navy, almost black, slightly flared jeans and a scarlet three-quarter length sleeved top that had writing scattered across it in many layers so it was hard to make out what was actually written. Her hair was also doomed to not stay up in a ponytail for the entire weekend as she listened in on what the Gold Strike Force leader had to say.

So this X-Team was to stop other from crossing the swamp and set up traps for the other teams? Perhaps this wouldn’t be too bad, especially if they got to sit back and watch as one of the other teams, who meant nothing to Madison, fell right into a trap and began to sink into a dangerous part of the swamp.

”One more thing of importance: We are still all X-Men. If one of the others, anyone of the others gets into a dangerous, even life-threatening situation, do by no means hesitate to help. Depending on the circumstances, points may be taken but in the aftermath, this mustn’t have any relevance for you,” Now this amused the younger of the Enright siblings. Did Storm really expect her, Madison Enright, to go out of the way to help anyone else but herself? In her entire lifetime she had only helped one person properly, meaning that she wasn’t giving ‘advice’ to poor innocent souls who crossed her paths, and that was Michael. It felt strange, yet in a sort of good way, to have helped out like that but Madison hadn’t planned on doing it too often. For all anyone knows, it might take another seventeen years for her to do the same thing again.

Madison knew that Michael was recovering well, she hadn’t gone to see him but had heard about it. It wasn’t as if she didn’t want to see him, she did. After all, he was the first person she had ever helped and she also had a couple of questions for him. Ever since she had absorbed then used the astral projection mutant’s powers to see herself as her mother, to see herself as someone who she wanted to be more like, she had slowly began to think over it. And that wasn’t a Madison thing to do. She never thought over things and when she did it was only for around a few minutes, not a few days like this. Madison just wanted to know if Michael’s power just worked differently with her, though she knew that was probably stupid to think that, so the question was why did she want to be more like her Michelle, someone who was the complete opposite of Madison? Of course, that question was probably something that he wouldn’t know the answer to, but Madison hadn’t thought that far yet to register that fact.

Snapping out of her brief thoughts Madison looked over to her so called team mates, an amused smirk slowly spread from her lips as she remembered the training session in the Danger Room. Both Frost and herself hadn’t gone to the Danger Room to make any friends by being nice to the new, and weak, members of the Gold Strike Force and to their happiness they hadn’t gotten any with the way they used their training session. But really, could the others expect them go nicely on them? That would only be pitying them and that was something she didn’t like to waste her time doing. If they wanted to see how you have to be on a team, they may as well get the entire show!

Seeing Matthias, the smirk grew a little upon recalling the memory when she had out smarted the contrasting mutant with his own powers. She didn’t always do that, using absorbed powers but he had disappeared and Madison always liked to know where an opponent was and she was the kind of girl who liked getting her own way and would do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

Hearing the voice of Angela reminded her of the fear she had felt when she had absorbed the empathy and used it for the smallest of moments. Having had claws her entire life and grown up with family members who also own claws Madison was so used to them that she found no problem with them and found it amusing to see that they actually scared others. It didn’t bother Madison though, if it was something that would make one dislike, or even hate, her she wouldn’t care.

"Well obviously some of us will be more useful then others, maybe the rest of you ought to help by staying out of our way." Reluctantly, her gaze shifted over to Frost as she spoke. A true statement, those with not as powerful mutant gifts weren’t going to be of much use and it was a wonder why they were actually put onto a team when they clearly weren’t ready for it.

Once more she heard Angela speak, this time to Taylor and then she heard Matt utter something about Frost. A comment she couldn’t help but even smirk a little at. It was then that she noticed she still had her enhanced senses that she had absorbed from Connor yesterday, that meant she could still use them for a few more hours of the day. Absorbed powers lasted around 24 hours with Madison, sometimes more and other times less but most of the time a days period was how long they lasted. It was probably better that Madison wasn’t stuck with the enhanced senses like her brother since he suffered with them, she could use them as she likes whenever she likes (as long as she had absorbed them), meaning she could use enhanced hearing and not the other senses like sight and scent. Actually, Madison sometimes kept the hearing up while she slept since she was a rather deep sleeper and barely any noise effected her during the night and she had done that last night to keep her guard up and hadn’t stopped it. The could explain why the jet sounded louder than usual.

"Seriously, why can't you at least try to get along with us? Most of us are new to the whole fighting thing and just because you've been lucky getting that uber-cool power...That's not everything, yanno?" Her lips parted slightly as an 'ooOoo' escaped from her mouth as she awaited Frost’s reaction to this. Like she was just going to listen to what Matt had to say and go by it. Madison was the same, it was always the weaker powered mutant that said such things.

"And what is then? I'd love to know," Madison spoke, the first time for the day so far in fact. Well, if there was something out there that means more than being strong, she wanted to know. Of course, whatever it could be would only be a joke in her opinion.

"If I don’t want to be me, why do I want to be more like her? Stupid astral form, it's making me think..."
