Meeting the Chief
Mitalah could only look around the halls with amazement as she followed after Aran. There were so many of them and the boy who could be green one minute then look normal the next knew exactly where to go. As she looked around half lost in her thoughts her dreams began to remember a place where she had seen many corridors before... in that ice sorcerers palace! Giving a small whimper of discomfort she picked up her pace to walk even closer to Aran.
As they reached to door in front of Xavier's office Mitalah studied the wood of the door as if it was meant to be extra special or something...
Mitalah: "Chief here in? ... Head too?"
She hadn't noticed that she spoke incorrect as she looked to Aran waiting for his answer. Leaning closer to the door she tapped it slightly, doors were still a strange thing to her, and she still wondered why they were needed, times were colder back in her time and they still didn't use them!

Re: Meeting the Chief
"Yep"
the greening mutant replied with a nod but realizing she might not know the word, he added
"Yes, he is in there"
There was still the possibility of Xavier having gone away for a bit to grab some food or something else of importance, but explaing this to Mitalah seemed to difficult to Aran. If he wasn't inside, there was still time to thinking about an easy way to tell her a possible reason.
"Professor, may we enter?"
Aran'kla asked politely knowing on the door. There was no need to explain anything as he had done to anybody else; having a telepath as a headmaster sure had some advantages... some disadvanted as well though.
Life can be like a stone thrown in the sea. It creates waves, maybe changing something, maybe not, but no matter what it causes, every single wave will disappear into nowhere...
Re: Meeting the Chief"Come in.." His voice called out before continuing with the meeting he was having with another student, but as they entered, the young girl stood up, her four hands clutching at her books as she moved towards the door.
"Zank ya profezzor!" She called back in an odd accent, obviously having troubles correctly pronouncing 'th' and 's', one of her four hands reached for the handle of the door as she turned and stared back at Xavier.
"Oh, ya, waz zere anycin' else sir? Na? k. Za room ya gamme z'really cool!" She added with a grin as another hand waved back at him before slipping out of sight, giving the other two new comers into the room a wide grin before disappearing.
"Please.. have a seat you two." He motioned towards the now free seats in front of his desk, focusing mainly on the Princess from another time. With a warm smile, he introduced himself to her politely and with respect.
"Welcome Mitalah, I am Charles Xavier." He placed his hands neatly upon his desk as he waited for them to become comfortable.

Re: Meeting the Chief
Mitalah gave a happy sort of smile as Aran confirmed that this is the spot where the chief of this place was. She wondered if he wore special clothing like her father had. Well of course he would, the chief was the leader here, he had to stand out from others in this place.
"Come in.." The prehistoric mutant understood what the voice from the other side of the door had said. She often said that to animals to follow her inside after she had finished playing with her outside, but they never really understood her. It was strange the birds at the wildlife park she liked to visit’s birds understood what their masters said, and even what Mitalah said when she got the chance.
Her thoughts about the animals in the wildlife park were cut short as she heard a strange voice from the other side of the door. It sounded female, but the words spoken didn’t make any sense to Mitalah, and the accent she had was unusual…
As the door opened Mitalah’s eyes nearly popped open as she stared at the girl with extra arms. Why did she have so many, when you only needed two? The strangeness of this girl made Mitalah edge her way behind Aran, peering of his right shoulder until the girl spoke again, causing her to duck a little so she couldn’t see the girl anymore.
"Please.. have a seat you two." Mitalah raised her head to peer over the greening mutant’s shoulder once again, at the sound of the male voice she had heard previously. Curiously she looked further into the room and saw the owner of the voice, but why did he seem to dress so normal? Mitalah thought all leaders wore something special to stand out, well maybe his lack of hair was his way of standing out… The prehistoric mutant followed the mans hand towards the chairs, then back to the man again as he offered a friendly smile. He seemed nice enough, enough for her to step out from behind Aran.
"Welcome Mitalah, I am Charles Xavier." By now she had taken a few brave steps forward, standing just inside the leader of this place’s office. Her eyes wandered around for a short moment until the mention of her name caused them to fall back to the bald man.
Mitalah: “…Thank you… Char-arl-ess Exz-aav-ier…”
She said ever so slowly pronouncing the name in the way she could best say it. This was of braking down the words to say them was something she was taught from the scientist’s back in Canada, and it really helped her learn new words and names. Seeming satisfied with her way of speaking she gave a small smile, and feeling a little confident she moved closer towards the chairs, taking a seat.
Mitalah: “You chief here?”
She asked, seeming eager to make sure that this was the guy that she almost forgot about Aran, and completely forgot about her troubles of not wanting to come here.

Re: Meeting the Chief
(OOC: My character needs to talk to the Professor at some point in time or to another high ranking teacher. If he can't though it's left open for him to come back later. If he can't talk now could someone please play in a thread with him elsewhere? Thanks)
IC:
Thanks to Aisha Munroe's map Kalan had found his way to the office of Charles Xavier, who he understood was in charge here. He'd only been at the institute for a few weeks but his parents had been talking to the Professor for years, getting advice on his powers. It seemed weird though that he was going to actually talk to the man, have a meeting if that's what you wanted to call it. He'd been welcomed briefly on his first day here but all that had been exchanged were pleasantries and an invitation to come down once he was settled in.
Well Kalan had settled down as well as he thought he would for awhile and was ready to start work on his powers. That was what he had discussed in short, how his coming here would help develop the telepathy and machine sending aspects of his powers that were, as of yet, still not within his grasp.
The door wasn't quite open but it wasn't closed and locked in his face to Kalan made his way up to the door, gently pushing it open so he was within view. Within the office were three people, only one of which was the professor of course. Kalan took in the curiously dressed girl then the boy within the office and waited for a pause in conversation before speaking up.
In deliberate but polite dones he said,"Kalan Townsend Professor. You told me to come down when I was settled in and I am but if this is a bad time..." he trailed off, alowing Charles Xavier the possibility to usher him away or make a set appointment for a meeting rather than be forced to listen to him unneccessarily.

Re: Meeting the Chief(ooc- *Remembers Angie telling her to NPC Xavier a little while ago* … Heh… heh… Sorry about the loooong delay in posting here! ^^" Oh, and apologises if my ‘Xavier-ing’ isn’t all that good, I’ve never Role Played as him before...)
As the prehistoric mutant asked Xavier if he was the ‘chief’ he gave a small chuckle. Well, he was the chief of this place, though that word hadn’t really been used to refer to him all that often, but this must have been the only word that Mitalah knew that would describe a leader of any form.
Xavier: "Yes, I am."
He spoke quite smoothly, to make things clear for Mitalah. She didn’t understand much of the English language at all, the headmaster of the school knowing that information wasn’t going to make things difficult for the young mutant. The prehistoric mutant smiled, Jason, the scientist who had taken care of her for a while now had said that he was a nice man. Mitalah had refused to believe him at first, mainly because she didn’t want to leave her home with the scientists for a place filled with strangers, but she was slowly warming up to it, the people were warm and friendly towards her.
Hearing the door open Mitalah turned around. Did the girl with three arms return? She didn’t like that girl, sure she might be the nicest person in the world, but Mitalah was scared of her. She had never seen anyone who looked like that before. Well, she had met Aran who had strange green skin, which made her a little scared of him, but after he made his colour go to a much normal skin colour she seemed to warm up to him.
Seeing that it was a boy Mitalah felt relieved, especially seeing that he had only two arms and a proper skin colour. But then again… there was him, Aran, Xavier and herself all in one room. Mitalah didn’t like groups of people. Even though this was a small group, Mitalah was only really comfortable around one or two people. Back in the Ice Age she loved spending time with people, as many as she could, but now she was in another world… no, the same world, just in another time, but ever since she became a citizen of modern life being around a group of people was a scary thing.
"Kalan Townsend Professor. You told me to come down when I was settled in and I am but if this is a bad time..." It wasn’t all that often that it was a bad time for a student of his to come in, and although he was already talking to another new student Xavier wasn’t going usher him away.
Xavier: "No no, it’s quite alright Kalan. It is nice to finally meet with you. Have you settled in well?"
Mitalah hadn’t understood much of what this new boy had said, but one word she did know was ‘bad’. She had been told that word if she had done something wrong. Had this boy done something wrong? Looking back to Xavier she noticed that he didn’t seem angry with him. If she done something bad, she was in trouble, or the scientists would have angry looks upon their faces, how come Xavier didn’t if this new boy had done something wrong?
Then she remembered hearing another word, ‘time’. You could tell the time from looking at a clock, Mitalah admired how the scientists knew the time of day, since she was yet to learn the hours of day she only knew how to tell time by either saying ‘day’ or ‘night’. But why would time be bad? How could it be bad? A clock couldn’t do something wrong could it? They just ticked and the arm-like things on it turned around on numbers, maybe the clock had stopped doing it’s job, or the arms went around in another direction. The mutant had noticed that clocks only tick in one direction, she was amazed by clocks and could just sit in front of one and watch it for hours. It was almost magic, it knew the exact time of the day all day long!
