Multifocal Choroiditis
I am a 28 year old mother of four children ages 6 years, 4 years, 2 years and 6 months. I was diagnosed with multifocal choroiditis in 1999 when I was 21 years old and lost the central vision in my left eye. Over the years I have battled to preserve the central vision in my right eye and have maintained 20/20 vision with corrective lenses and a minor blind spot after treatments with prednisone in early years and most recently Avastin injections. The last Avastin injection, however, was not very effective and I have not been able to see the right side of my children's faces for about a week now. We are waiting one more week for another Avastin injection so there will be a full four weeks between injections. When I received my first injection about a year and a half ago, I had excelent results... I am concerned that I just had an injection three weeks ago and my vision has continued to decrease.
