New Ghost Hunter Group
This group is close to my area and does investigations in my neighborhoods. I'll have to contact them about joining an investigation.

Warm enough for spirits maybe, it was a frigid abandoned and unheated house off Piedmont Street when Keyser’s new group of “ghost hunters” made a preliminary evaluation last weekend, with negative results. The group plans an extensive study and research program during the winter months and welcomes new members who are serious about the fascinating avocation.

The “ghost hunters” are active in Mineral County again, with a new group being organized to investigate and evaluate continuing reports from residents who claim they often “seem to feel the presence” in their home of individuals from another spiritual milieu. Half a dozen local men and women, who had been active with a group that examined several local “haunted” sites last year - including the News-Tribune - found the distances too inconvenient with the other organization centered in the Morgantown area, and determined to establish a local unit.

Nancy Haggerty of Keyser explained, “We would welcome those with a serious interest in this fascinating field, who want to join us in what we feel is scientific research - not just fun and games - and who will be as thrilled as we are when we get a positive reading.”

While all the members have had successful investigations around the state in the past, including several in the Eastern Panhandle, the cold weather turned out to be a very real deterrent in their first local endeavor last weekend. A preliminary examination of an abandoned, and unheated, house off Piedmont Street found no readings and the group abandoned the effort after but a short stay.

“We plan to continue our research and study groups during the winter months and evaluate different types of equipment, and train new members, so we can be ready to get really active when the weather permits,” said Haggerty.

She explained the group plans a three-fold approach: (1) to research initial reports of “hauntings,” (2) on-scene investigation with a variety of specialized equipment, and (3) research into the real-life records of those spirits they may feel they have encountered.

She recounts an experience where a group she was with kept repeatedly encountering the spirit of a young boy, in a home where toys seemed to move around of their own accord. “Our research led to a single grave, where a young boy was buried alone, away from his family. When we checked back, we found records of his birth and death at that site in the 1800s.”
Such experiences spur the group to further endeavors, she said. And, equipped with motion detectors, video and digital cameras, even electronic magnetic pulse detectors, they feel they will be ready to get active after the holidays.

Re: New Ghost Hunter Group
:hi That sounds interesting, but i wonder what state they are in.
It doesn't sound like Texas.More like Florida or Oklahoma.
What's the name of this group? I'll have to check them out.
I still haven't been on any ghost tours in San Antonio yet.
Maybe when I go visit my sister in june in New York,we can go on a ghost tour of New York City.

When we go up to Cape Cod to see her boyfriend's parents,
we are thing of stopping at the Lizzie Borden House in Fall River,MA.

Actually, Keyser is in West Virginia - very close to the border of western Maryland.

If you do go to the Lizzie Bordon house, be sure to take lots of pictures. :clap
