New Zetec 2L CSR specs?
I understand that someone on the east coast is putting the Zetec engine that will be the USFF2000 series into an S2 chassis (calling is SRZ) and has received word that this engine will be permited in CSR for 2002. Apparantly there are at least a few customers cars sold for production in 2002.
Does anyone know that other restrictions go along with the 2L engine (2-seater?, minimum weight?, Aero-limitations?)

ZETEC C S/R
Sounds premature to me ,zetec F2000 is stricktly a pro class ,I have seen nothing in fast-track for classification .If you really want to know call Phil Creatan or Sven Pruit (SCCA Tech Department).See if its just rumor. The class doesn't need more engines , it needs people racing ,theres plenty of engines to choose from . A spec type motor with same H.P. Will have big Torque.Theres plenty of eng. choices that aren't that expensive ,a top notch S2000-F2000 motor is over $10,000.

ZETECH C S/R
I resently wrote compboard ,to allow competition adjustments, for C S/R Olds/pro & YAC S2000 to make them more competitive,to classify Zetech S2000 (I understand there are cars being built for ACRL with these motors),and reduce weight for VW 1835cc to 1200lbs.If you have any coments/suggestion post them & write the compboard.
Competition adjustments for Olds and YAC engined C S/R's
Ben,
Thank you for adding the insight and your recommendations to the comp board. Would it be possible to know what your suggestions were for the Olds and YAC powered cars?
Having one, I'm very interested!
Thanks,
Dave Jansen

VW 1600
> reduce weight for VW 1835cc to 1200lbs.
How would this affect the 1600 VeeDubs? I don't know how many of those are even active (mine is parked in an obscure corner of the shop behind several motorcycles, tire piles and a Datsun 510), but dropping the 1800 a hundred pounds would probably necessitate an 1100 pound limit for the 1600, and I doubt if anyone could ever get down to that with a Ralt.

1600 VW
Bore it out to 1800 or 1835.Other wise you may as well ask,I have this honda 600 engine in my garage what kind of Wt. brake can I get in C S/R.Or I have Alfa 1600 ect..Bore it out it can be very competitive. You'd have to actually get a car on the track though.
OLDS adjustments
How about allowing the standard CSR wheel/tire combinations? Also, ram air to the intake for the OLDS. And allow free electonics and ECU modifications.
