On the run to survive!
Hoping to leave the institute and get her minds off evil vampires and other dimensions, Anna snuck out, fully away that it wasn't allowed for students to leave after dark without permission.
Right now, as the echo's of her feet running down the long dark ally where heard all around here, the distant yells of voices right behind her, she really wished for once she had done as she was told.
Behind her, five older men in brown pants with white tops where chasing her, on their tops was the symbol for supporters of FoH...Friends of Humanity as they called themselves.
It had grown dark, and she had hoped to lose them down the ally, but there wasn't any where for her to hide. She wasn't sure how it exactly all started, one moment she was in Salem Center buying a new pair of clothes, the next she was getting pushed about by older guys! Obviously they knew she was a mutant because the air around her was slightly colder.
But still, she didn't do anything wrong! And she promised Xavier she wouldn't hurt anyone...and her uncle. She had to stall them, a dead end was coming up and there was nowhere else for her to run!
Frost:"Perfect, how about you get to know the city a little more Anna?"
She asked herself sarcastically as she turned around, holding up her hands and slowly started freezing the air in front of her, a wall of solid ice beginning to form.
FoH Member:"The filthy mutant’s trying to block us off!"
Pulling out his side arm, the anti-mutant activist takes careful aim and fires a shot, grazing Anna's arm, they all seem to cry out in triumph at the injury they gave.
FoH Members:"Down with Mutants!"
Her hand had instinctively grabbed the shoulder that had been grazed by the bullet, but she had to pull it free and continue making the wall of ice between her.
It didn't take long for the solid wall to block her attackers.
FoH Member:"Filthy freak! Think you can pollute our world! You're disgusting and we're here to clean up the mess!"
Anna stepped away from the icy wall, her strong, 'in your face', demeanor melting away as fear and Goosebumps spread threw her body. She was terrified, she hadn't remember a time where she had been so scared, she forgot about the communicator in her pocket, she was just focusing on a way to get out.
The young frosty mutant was far beyond the point of tears, even if she wanted to come she was too scared to cry, and she would refuse to be seen doing so in front of these monsters!
They began banging at the ice, mostly trying to scare her now, almost taking a sick pleasure in watching her suffer. You would have thought someone had heard the gunfire! Where were the cops? The decent people that always are around to lend a hand? Where the heck where they when she actually needed them!?
Turning her attention to her arm for a moment, the graze barely anything serious by still it was a cut and it was bleeding, even if it was only lightly.
She wanted to yell back at them, but knew she shouldn't, maybe if she waited, maybe someone would come? Maybe they will just grow tired of waiting for her to come out and walk away...
Pressing her back against the wall, Anna let out a painful sigh, holding up her unhurt arm in an attempt to keep the wall strong as some of the men began banging against it with various objects they picked up from the ground and from inside trash cans.
All she could ask herself was....why where they so mad at her?
Having only arrived in the foreign country a few days ago, Tanya thought it was about time she got up from her hotel and went and saw what was where in the bustling town. She began her tour in the areas of a town such as this she would like the best - the park. She knew the varied array of wild colours, and the natural effervessence of the animals, each on their own little mission to survive in this decaying world, would remind her of home, and that she wouldn't feel so... lonely... anymore.
The hours passed, and as it got dark, she finally began to walk home, having to trawl through the polluted streets and pass the tainted people. She knew her hatred of civilisation was unjust, but she was unable to control her emotions about such things, and had convinced herself that her past was justification for her feelings.
Hearing the chants of old men down a back alley, coupled with the cries and whimpers of a young girl, just reinforced this. She could see them, about five in total, throwing objects from the ground at what seemed like a wall of ice.
This piqued Tanya's interest. She crossed the dark street so she could inspect the event with greater detail. Positioning herself behind a wall, so she could see, yet not be seen, Tanya could see the mens moves. She had by now realised that the girl was a mutant, and of what seemed like great power to be able to make a wall so thick, and keep the mob from getting her. She could also see the weapons in the mens hands - broken bottles, knives, and guns.
However, she also noticed the men carried the same symbol on their arms. Due to the dark nature of the street, she could only make out that they all had the same pattern, but couldn't read what was written on them. She would have moved in to have a better look as to what was happening, but being extremely weak by herself, she decided that it would be better to stay where she was.
Her mentor had explained about other mutants to her, and how they all have unique powers. She reasoned that this girl must also be of her kind, yet she couldn't understand why these people hated her. She figured that this was the normal attitude to mutants in a city, and added it to her 'reasons why civilisation is bad' list.
The mob carried on charging at the wall for what seemed ten minutes. the wall was beginning to dry out, and she could tell the mutants powers were beginning to fade. She knew she had to act, create a diversion, at least do something. She stood up and was just about to throw a stone at the men to get their attention, when she noticed exactly what the arm bands said - FoH.
Her horrendous past flooded through her mind. She fell to her knees, writhing in the pain of memories best forgotten. A single tear fell to the floor as she remembered images of her bloodied father laying on the floor.
Her rage and sorrow consumed her. She rose from the floor, only her emotions leading her. Picking up a metal pole from the floor next to her, she growled at the mob:
'I'm gonna give you one chance - Leave the girl alone, or regret it for the rest of your lives'.
Regaining some control over her actions, she walked towards them. She knew she was an extremely weak fighter, and that there was no chance of her being able to take them all alone. She just hoped that the mutant girl behind the frozen wall would come out and help her. But she really didn't care - she needed to find out about her mother, and get revenge for the pain they had caused to her throughout the whole of her life.
The men stopped beating the wall, and crowded around her.
They formed a semi-circle around her. Her previous emotions had fled from her - she was simply filled with fear now. She gripped the pole with both hands, and prepared to fight any one of them, not knowing which would lead the assault.
One of the men began to speak to her, as an evil grin creeped along his face.
'Oh look boys, we've got another one. She may look harmless, but don't they all. Just be careful as you take her - you never know when these animals are gonna strike.'
trying to conceal the fear, she tightened the grip on the pole yet again. Raising the pole. the man began to beat her, throwing an endless barrage of punches at her. Some she was able to dodge, but the majority hit home. She tried to counter with a few light swings of the pole, but none of them managed to make contact.
In a final attempt of desperation, she kicked him back, allowing her to have a breather. But it just made things worse. Now they knew she was weak - and her ability was obviously of no help to her, otherwise she would have used it. They all began encircling her, so she had nowhere to run. Her body, bruised and slightly bloodied, was too damaged to move. She was stuck, and she just gave herself to the fact she would have to suffer the same fate as her mother.

Re: On the run to survive!'I'm gonna give you one chance - Leave the girl alone, or regret it for the rest of your lives'.
The icy mutant lifted her head as the voice of another girl boomed out, her demanding tone filling the air with threats for the humans to leave Anna alone.
Hastily the mutant girl struggled to her feet, her hand tightly clutching her arm as she began to feel relieved over her possible rescuer.
'Oh look boys, we've got another one. She may look harmless, but don't they all. Just be careful as you take her - you never know when these animals are gonna strike.'
Anna annoyingly blow a strip of her white fringe that draped in front of her eyes and lips, agitated by that comment. They sounded so much like her father she just wanted to scream at them.
But she was thrown speechless as her would be saviour began to get brutally kicked to the ground. She may be slack using her powers to harm others when she's the one in danger, but when it's someone else...Anna was all too eager to go full force!
Frost:"Leave her alone!"
Her skin began to take on a pale blue hue, the shade of her hair completely fading into a silvery grey as she powered up, stretching out her uninjured arm.
The damaged wall of ice she had created began to shatter, bits of it chipping away into smaller blocks that shot towards the humans.
The small blocks of solid ice slammed against their bodies, the only thing stopping Anna from putting more force then she was using where the constant whispers of her Uncles voice in the back of her mind.
He told her how she wasn't to use her powers against humans, wasn't allowed to harm them, and was a last resort if she was being attacked. But she did try and avoid using her powers, and she wasn't defending herself any more, she was defending a girl who tried to help her!
Frost:"Give my father my regards gentlemen!"
The Mistress of ice called out as she began to create an icy mist that encircled the members of FoH to a bone chilling degree. The 3 that had remained after the barrage of frozen stones didn't hang about after that, they dropped the junk they had picked up and slowly backed out of the ally, screaming threats that the girls hadn't seen the last of FoH.
Frost:"Till next time then, can't wait till we kick you butts again!"
But the frosty mutant fell to her knees with an exhausted breath after having over used her powers, her eyes lingered on the beaten form of the girl before her. Pulling herself to her feet, simultaneously shifting her form back into her more human appearance, she moved over to her would be hero.
Frost:"Hey...."
Anna whispered, her breathing slightly heavy and her voice out of breath.
Frost:"...Thanx...for trying to help. Here.."
Gently wrapping her cold arms around the girl, Anna lifted her to her feet weakly.
Frost:"..I'm a little cold to the touch, I'm sorry."
Suddenly images of giving people frostbite flickered thew the young mutants mind, causing her to try and rest the girl against the wall of the ally.
Frost:"Think you can walk? There's a safe place nearby...a school for mutants, my home, we have a medical lab, get those bruises looked at as well.....I'm Anna by the way, everyone calls me Frost. Let me help you, for trying to help me."
She tried offer a friendly smile, she was half worried those FoH guys would return in a greater force of even worse...one of them might not make it back to the school, neither where in the condition to carry the other..
Frost:"We have to hurry...incase they come back..."
Re: On the run to survive!
Finally the torrent of fists stopped. Tanya could hear only the deafening silence - she at last felt peaceful, yet like she had failed somehow. Her mother was still missing, her father still had not recieved the revenge he deserved, and the girl she had tried to help would most likely have also been captured by the anti-mutant savages. Finally regaining conscienceness, she could hear the echo of her heart faintly beating on the walls of her very being. The feelings of despair and failure diminished, and were replaced by those of hope and vitality.
The feeling that she had been given another chance to do things right in life overwhelmed her, as she heard a soft voice call out to her. What it was sayign she couldn't make out, and her eyes were too swollen from the bruising to open. Yet she felt content in knowing she was safe, and that for the firt time in her life she felt that things would turn out the way she intended.
A cold feeling covered her body. Worry again encompassed her body. Yet this time it felt... different somehow. It had a strange, unnatural, sense to it. She used all her might to overcome the excrucaiting pain, and opened her bloodshot eyes. all she could see was a vision of blue beauty advancing towards her. The cold mutants mouth began to move, but Tanya still couldn't hear what she was saying. She began to prop her up against the wall, so she began to shift her weight in a way that would help her. An obviously fake smile spread across her face, yet it managed to give Tanya the reassurance that she was in safe hands that she needed.
Unngh... Hi.... i take it you.... dealt with those guys.... sorry about that... What are we gonna do now... i'm hurt, and i dont think... i'm gonna be able to walk... I'm finding it hard to hear aswell.
Her body refused to let her speak any more, and promptly ended her speech in a sputter of bloody coughs and chokes. She knew they had to leave the area, but from the look of the cold mutant, and her injuries, there was no way that she would be able to carry Tanya. They were going to have to find *alternative* transportation, and fast before those guys came back. Trying to get up was no use.
Have... you got a car... or something we can go away from this place in... im in no condition to move...
She looked towards the frosted mutant again. Her blue skin seemed to glow mysteriously in the moons light, and the picturesque image that was her was only spoiled by the wound which had been made incarnadine. She just hoped that she had a plan as to what they could do.

Re: On the run to survive!
The exhausted mutant glanced about, searching for something...anything they could use to escape. If she was more powerful like her uncle, she'd be able to create ice slides ride one all the way back to the institute.
But she wasn't, so thinking like that wasn't a productive use of her time, she had to find a way to get back to the school. Allowing her mind to wonder over the verious possibilities, she gave a quiet sigh as she began to run out of options.
Just as she was about to give up, she remembered Storm handing her and Madison communicators! The icy mutant reached into her pocket and withdrew a small device, her eyes examining it curiously as she tried to remember what Storm had said on how to use it.
Frost:"I'm not sure....if this thing actually works."
She began before giving the stranger a faint smile as she remembered the girl had mentioned she was having trouble hearing, it was pointless talking to her really. Instead Anna gave her an assuring smile as she tapped the communicator with the tip of her finger.
Frost:"He said if I ever got into trouble, give him a call."
She mused as thought over who she going to call over the com-link.
Frost:"Nightcrawler."
There was a buzzing sound for a moment as the comm-link was opened, a sleepy Kurt responded on the other side.
Frost:"..This is Frost, Uh, Anna Drake...sorry to.."
Kurt:"Zat's alright Anna, vhat is ze problem?"
The voice asked with a muffled yawn.
Frost:"...I was just attacked, a girl tried to help...and she was hurt, we can't really make it back to the school sir."
The voice on the other instantly grew woried and began asking if they where alright, after Anna had assured him they where still breathing...though barely in the other girls case...the German sounding voice told the girls to stay where they where.
Frost:"We won't move sir..."
She said simply since she already told him they where having trouble walking...she stared at the small device for a moment before slipping it back into her pocket.
Frost:"Come on, he's a teleporter, we shouldn't have to wait too long, and then you can get some warm clothes and blankets, I'm sure it's not helping you by me being around. Hey, have you got someone we can call to pick you up from the school?"
Re: On the run to survive!
Finally succumbing to the pain, Tanya closed her eyes. She felt the blood flow back into her eyelids, and her body relaxed into a state of uncomfortable bliss. So as not to worry the other girl, she forced a smile onto her face - having endured the pain, she felt better for doing so. In a way, it was her way of saying *thank you* for staying around and helping.
Her body had begun to adjust to the damage caused. Her ears finally began to function properly again and were able to hear sounds - Even though she still couldn't quite work out what her saviour was saying, she could hear some distinct sounds and familiar phrases, and using her common sense, she could pretty much piece together what was going on around her.
".....was just attacked, a girl tried to help.... and she was hurt, we can't ....."
Tanya began to realize someone must finally have come to help them. Hope once again spread throughout her body - the cold aura emitted by the mysterious person who saved her was negated by the rush of endorphins through her system.
"........ we shouldn't have to wait too long, and ....... around. Hey, have you got someone we can call to pick ........... "
She tried to answer, but her body lacked the energy now to even do that. She just continued the smile, and gave a pathetic nod indicating no... She doubted she would even notice that she had done so. She just wanted to leave the dark alley and get the medical attention she urgentally needed. She could feel the seconds turning into minutes, yet her strong will kept her from becoming unconscious.

Re: On the run to survive!
Well...let's hope Madison doesn't find out about what happened, last thing she wanted was the clawed girl to be making fun of the fact she was attacked by humans..
The frosty mutant didn't even consider the fact Madison wasn't that type of person, she didn't know the girl well enough and they had a habit of teasing each other at every chance.
Anna felt like she should perhaps move away from the girl, feeling guilty over showing her already chilly body with her icy aura. But before Frost could make up her mind as what to do, there was a loud popping now beside her as Nightcrawler appeared.
His fuzzy blue form reached down and quickly picked up the limp body of the wounded girl.
Kurt:"Zere Zere child, I am Kurt Wagner, we'll take care of you."
He assured her, his voice heavy with his german accent. Anna placed her cold hand on his warm shoulder as he readied himself to teleport. Shortly, in a blast of blue smoke, the three mutants vanished from the cold ally, instantly appearing in the medical lab back at the school.
