PTV
Presumably Psychic Tv has released a lot of crap. So far I own (and am very happy with) "Force the Hand of Chance" and "Trip Reset". Where do I go from here?
If you like FTHOC, try DREAMS LESS SWEET next! It's my favorite. Also- if you like the techno period, PEAK HOUR is my top pick, though Ultrahouse or Ultradrug (the re-release) are both excellent as is Jack The Tab/Tekno Acid Beat and Towards Thee Infinite Beat.
As far as live discs go- if you can find LIVE IN HEAVEN from December 1986, this is my all-time favorite show.
Other good ones are THOSE WHO DO NOT, AT STOCKHOM and AL-OR-AL. Then again, I am a fan of everything by Gen and co.
Happy hunting!

well, you should feel lucky to have begun with {Force} & {Trip Reset}, both can be coumsidered as thee most accoumplished ones PTV ever produced.
{Dreams Less Sweet} is another hallucinatory mass/mess that is definitely worth trying. much the same about thee more narrative {At Stockholm}. VoicePrint has also just released thee double CD {Godstar - the Director's Cut} that collects thee best momeants ov "allegory & self". oh, and {Mouth of the Night}, and, and, and... well so many of them
Re: yet another devotee
Many many indeed...Especially with all of the live re releases out there. Favorites of mine are the City Ov Berlin I & II and the Live in Stockholm, which is really a wonderful track. Also check out the Splinter Test remixes.
For the acid house, the first 2 collections of the acid house years are great. The 3rd is OK. Towards thee Infinate Beat is remarkable.
Godstar - Director's Cut sound like a great disc and it will be mine! Thank you so much for mentioning that. I will try and track it down very soon.
Petey Vee, tee hee, hee shee.
I'm interested in that new GODSTAR thingy- anyone know when it's due out? I can't find it in local shops and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where you can find just about anything!
Also, looking for 3 cd's Gen did w/ Column One- one was called Vis Spei, One had a morphed-looking man's/wolf/s face on it in a digipack w/ a particularly fun-E version of "I Wanna Eat Your Leg" and the other was apparantly a companion cd to that one, I think called E-lusive, which is appropriate as it certainly is, I've never been able to find it. I had the other 2, but had to sell them as I needed money at one point years back before I had a cd burner and the tapes sound like crap now.
If anyone is interested in working out a trade, I am very into that, L-OV-E to work out trades!
Also, the "new" GPO isn't really a necessity- see that thread for reviews. I AM interested to hear what sort of musick will be on the new PTV3 and TG albums.
I hope it's not more remix or re-hashed/recycled material! Enough already!!!
PTV recommends
Dreams Less Sweet, Allegory and Self, Trip Reset, Peak Hour, New York Scum Haters, Cathedral Engine, Al or Al, Live In Glasgow and London, Direction Of Travel.
All of those are worth getting in my humble opinion.
Avoid Infinite Beat ones they just sound a bit dated now.
