Plot Things *HAVE A LOOK PLEASE*
Yep, old thread, new info. Or updated anyway. It's also here to give everyone the opportunity to ask questions/be informed/have something to stare at.
ETA: For reference's sake, the old thread can be found here... please reply in this one here though so we don't have everyone's ideas scattered all over the place.
Upcoming Plotline:
This will be the Criminal Offences storyline, also called the CO. Originally, it had been planned to be launched just a few weeks after the Training Island, yet what with ezboard's troubles and all, I'm afraid we've been slowed down a little in regards to story progress. We may start into the CO in about a month's time though depending on how posting goes.
Hopefully, we can recover a much longer version of that explanation, but here's a short one - the Institute will be closed. Too short?
Basically, our beloved enemies-for-all-occasions A.Corp. will team up with the government and - misleading everyone into believing Xavier's students were all homicidal threats for mankind - take over the school to save the world. ... well... caging mutants and experimenting on those who didn't get away (or are too boring to experiment on) may be a bit drastic interpretation of that goal, but oh well, it's A.Corp. after all.
There will be roughly three character categories (note: NOT three groups as in parties, there will be more than that!):
The Captives - those who didn't make it and are in holding cells inside the Institute... either to be experimented on or just rot and die... unless they get out somehow. There may also be some that are being held captive by the government (where chances to end up as guinea pigs are much lower).
The Roamers - they got away, yay for them! But they're unorganised, just away, away, away... but where to? Who do they meet whoever they are, and are they safe?
So far, we've got Aldrea and T1 "volunteering" to help with the breaking out part for some groups. Feel free to apply your characters to one of these groups if you want your character to escape. Bear in mind that once people will have been caught, it'll be much harder to get away, so escaping in the commotion of the invasion thingy might be a good option for those wanting to be roamers too!
The Hope - Storm managed to gather students and (ex)teachers around her trying to somehow organise a counter attack that, however, cannot be executed with mere force as the government is against them. They'll have to operate in secret, using all the help they can get as influential families whose children are mutants etc.
Special!! - Yep, we had some people going all creative and coming up with ideas for special plotlines! You can find them easily farther down below... they're all colourful-ish
The CO plotline is NOT a completely plotted story as the past Training Missions! The beginning is rather set and there may be a few things on the way that individuals or we as admins want to happen, but generally it's HIGHLY free posting that will also take up a LOT of time. Things will never be the same again... ESTABLISHED MEMBERS: Please check your character groups! If there are new things you came up with or changes, tell us! It'd be most helpful if you did NOT just post your single characters but the groups as we had decided on. I will then add them here and delete your posts to make things easier accessible. If you aren't sure of the group, please rather post your character's name and what you had in mind for them rather than not posting at all

- Contrast, Trip, possibly an NPC (+ Gypsy's in the "cell" next door)

Hidden uncaptured in the school (NO MORE OF THOSE - the invaders are professionals after all.):

- Riley *is captured at first, but set free quickly enough*, Catherine, Paige (Part of the ones who escape the school later)

NEW MEMBERS: Please tell us what you'd prefer for your character and we'll try to work out how to fit them in. You will not be restricted to the "category" you initially start off with. Say you begin as a captive, you can of course break free at some point (and with the help of others, we've got to keep it as realistic as possible after all), try to find some safe haven as a "roamer" and maybe eventually end up with a more organised planning and plotting group.
NOTE: Unless veto'd, I'd suggest we do the big stuff narrator-style. With several key roles unfilled and our issue with major threads (... XD), I think it'd be much more fun to just play out the personal threads in the groups and such, like episodes.
So instead of having one big thread in which the institute is being taken over and people seized and the like, we'd do a post setting the scenario and let people start from there in their individual threads (like Aisha and Drian on the run, maybe with flashbacks...and the like).

While Matt's suggestion does have it's easy points, especially for someone who has countless charries with no idea on where half of them are, it doesn't mean that we can't RP the attack on the school. I never intended on one big thread actually... more individual threads focused on a few charries, for example May could snag Ben and Michael into the passage way while everyone is being attacked.
Or we could all plot what happens and have flash backs, which is also great considering everyone is running from one place to another, which means we could start our threads explaining what happened before hand! Which would be excellent for say Connor who would end up in Racheal's group. If there is some significant act you really want to play out, that's doable, so no fret. Flash backs are great for ease but require a lot of thought and planning and good player to player communication, so think carefully and be sure you know where you want to go and how you want to get there and who with!
We'll place new team line ups or confirm set team line ups now, so get thinking and plotting people, I hope for the last week to go by a lot faster then the first one that took a year!!XD Aren't we amazing..

ooooh... Your vampy should meet my vampy... then Spikey can get all territorial and macho and then waddle off huffy like... then when the CO starts we could have them both helping students get out of the school.. they could tag team and that way Spike will accept that Illy-kins won't try and use the school as his feasting grounds...(Give the guy a break, he grew up in a world where demons happily snacked on humans and kept them as pets, he is still adjusting and paranoid of other demons xD) but that could give Illy and Spikey something to do and together they could help Storms group -amongst others- escape.

Buuuut it might be better if you decided on a general direction coz technically, they'd fit in anywhere (that's the beauty of it ).

I placed Kiana with the kiddie group including Lily-Rose and X-23, Isaura with Dan and Lenora with Nick and Aldrea.
Josh, Angie: Aiden's been placed with Max as White Prince has left.

Illidan, Angie, Dan, Hank: There was this idea to place Illidan with T1 and the cowboy dude at some point. That still on?
Lady: Christine could be placed with one of the groups held captive by the gov't. Might be some case of misinformation, maybe?
There comes a time in everyone's life when they have to take over responsibility.
The question remains whether there is also a time when we can get rid of it again.

Yeah maybe... the only thing I do have in mind is that I would like Christine to lose one of her stuffed animals, as in have it taken away or damaged, crushed/burned etc. so it's sort of like the grief of losing a friend. It'll be a minor stuffed animal but still.
I don't want her to be hurt either, a little emotional trauma sure but not physically so wherever she fits.

Hey Matt.... ill check with Jenn but Paige was sort of going to escape with Daredevil......so shed never really have benen captured.... and dont forget guys and gals that he will be getting out of the institute with whosoever wants to tag along

ok, just want to add some of my other characters in... dave, not sure what the hell to do with him, not entirely keen on him being captured so he'll be on his way out, probably go and hide in the lake somewhere lol
oh and johnson is free to do anything but leave the building, he can help a bit in beating off any attackers but only to some extent as hes non corporeal and only has limited telekenisis at the moment. might be useful for assisting the people who are being held in the school or who are hiding in the school

mew! update... Zia and Tess are going to get captured. Rain will go with on the rescuing.... as will Amber.... partly. Who knows, the Dark Amber might help in her own way.
Kichi will still be doing the rescue thing on her own and Trade is going to turn on Cortez once she gets to her senses then try to do the rescuing thing.
