Honolulu Kona, A320 X-Plane, FL150, 30 minutes

Kona Honolulu, A319 X-Plane, 162NM, FL 160, 33 minutes

Some more sight-seeing flights for my delight.

HI 103 Lanai Kahului, King-Air X-Plane, 36NM, 17 minutes

HI 185 Honolulu tour ofOahu island Honolulu, King-Air X-Plane, FL30,
30 minutes

HI 190 Lihue tour of Niihau island Lihue, King-Air X-Plane, FL30, 29 minutes

HI189 Lihue Princeville Na Pali coast Waimea canyon Lihue, Piper
Warrior as supplied by the factory for X-Plane, FL40, 46 minutes

Chartered flight from LSZL to LSZS LILO, panoramic tour of swiss-italian
Alps, Piper Meridian as supplied by the factory for X-Plane, FL100, 56 minutes.

Fortunately, my new PC supports X-Plane and I resumed immediately operations on this excellent simulator. I also downloaded the latest scenery files and found the elevations very accurate and the textures realistic, with main roads and
rivers added. A good improvement that I appreciated, after 2 years away from X-Plane.

NOTES: Flap 15 take-off. Went straight up to FL400, with no incidents, ride was a bit bumpy at first because of being above max cruise height. At Honolulu, weather was fine, some low scattered clouds, good visibility of the beautiful scenery, a crosswind of 18kt, and little traffic. Vor loc was not holding the approach well, so flew the rest of the approach by hand, a nice smooth landing with flap 30, autobrake 2, and reversers.

Summary for April 2003,
