Prelude to the Coming Darkness...
It comes...

"What comes, my master?"

IT COMES!!

With a flash, the dark lord of the rapidly growing army based under the Obsidian building finds himself back at his desk.
Mr. Kayel straitens his red tie while leaning back into his chair with a stern look about his face. He never expected to receive such urgent news from the Profound Darkness on this day.

Another vision sent by the Profound Darkness. In visions is the only way he could communicate with his master, or Mistress as the Profound Darkness is sexless, since his fall to this world. This....earth. An odd name, he always thought.
After the all time he's spent here, Lord Kayel has found communicating through visions to be much more complicated and taxing then actually speaking with his regent directly.

Although difficult, the force and urgency of the message was no less intense. One of the great tomes of creation. One of the single most powerful collections of magic ever assembled on this or any other world. The Thousand Eyes Bible is near. And Lord Kayel planned to claim it. By any means necessary.

"To me, my minion." The dark lord's voice rumbles with the incredible power that the demon lord commands as he summons his most satisfying achievement.
Soundlessly, a hooded figure steps from a shadow on the other end of the cavernous room that serves as Lord Kayel's office and meditation quarters. Emerald green eyes, who's iris' are slotted like a cat's, peer at the Dark lord from under a long hood, as the figure bows deeply to his master.

"I come as called, my master."

"Report on the situation at the Xavier Institute."

"Yes, Lord Kayel. The situation is proceeding as planned. The blue telepath's emotions are proving very easy to manipulate. She is continuing to prove useful as her confidence and trust in the Fallen help keep suspicion at bay. Also, the young girl, Arisa Howlett is gaining trust in the Fallen. She is mere steps away from darkness. The is much bitterness and untapped hate in her. All that is needed for her to realize her potential usefulness is a catalyst. The X-men, as a whole, still suspect nothing. There are a few that could be a problem. But, in time, they will see the Fallen as the 'Trustworthy' individual his claims to be."

"Excellent." mused the demon lord as he sat back in his great chair, satisfied with the plan's current outcome. "I have been sent a glimpse of a number of things that are to transpire. And I have formulated a plan to bring these events into my favor.

As the stygian lord stood and started to slowly pace about the room with measured steps, a chill entered the sealed room like a gust of air from a freshly opened window.

"Remain at the ready, my minion. The situation at the Institute will be resolved by -my- design. And when all is said and done, the seed of hate shall germinate into a dark rose for one of the X-men's number. It is all going according to plan. Bethlazor has already been made aware of my intentions for his conscripts. Now, leave me and ensure the Fallen is in position to play his part in my grand drama. I have other matters of which to attend."

"As you will my lord." The hooded man bowed deeply to his lord and prepared to return to his duties of monitoring the Fallen's progress. A furred hand of a Golden-yellow hue reached up to a similarly furred face to brush a small tuft of golden mane-like hair out of his eyes as he left his master's office the same way he came into this world.

Enveloped in shadow

With a sweeping gesture of his massive arm, the Stygian Beast is adorned no longer in his stylish, jet black business suit but in 'work clothes' of an entirely different sort. Obsidian black, almost chitinous armor covers Asmodius Kayel from his shoulders to the floor. Vicious spikes jut out from the tops of his shoulder plates and forearm gauntlets. A long, flowing cape, of the same stygian black as his armor cascades down his back and moves as if it were a living extension of the Dark Lord. Truly, an attire fitting to one who's true nature was just as frightening. If not more so.

A dark smile crossed the Stygian Beast's features at what he felt was resoundingly good news. Events where definitely going his way. Now, it was time to investigate what his vision meant by a place of false renaissance held an answer. Although, he was more than sure of what he would find. And the offer that he would put forth if his interpretation of his vision could be trusted.

Lord Kayel felt this situation was one that it would be best for him to deal with Personally....
