Quick hello
Hi everyone, Just checking in since it has been quite a while. My eyes have been doing well, with the exception of a teeny flare in my left eye that came with the news of my second pregnancy. I seem to be in remission now, and following the same path as the first pregnancy, which is good. I am taking the Remicade still, as I did with Jake, and all is well. monitored monthly, and the baby is healthy and happily kicking away at this moment. I am just about 5 months, and we found out a couple of weeks ago that we are having a girl. I would be happy to just know I am having a healthy baby.

After the birth, we will discuss other optioins. While I LOVE my miracle drug, I don't see myself taking it for the rest of my life, and since Remicade defintiely will need to be ongoing, we are going to look at CeeCept, Imuran, or something else. I am nervous thinking about taking something else, especially since I don't know side effects and how I will react, but i am excited to know there will be an end to these infusions. It is getting harder to get good veins, and the time involved takes me away from Jacob. I want to be able to just pop a pill and eventually go into a permanent remission. i know the latter may never happen, but I can always hope!

Anyway, I hope everyone is well, take care!

Jess

Congrats!
Hi Jess-

Congratulations on all your good news. I hope the pregnancy continues healthy, leading to EASY delivery of your beautiful daughter, and that your eyes continue healthy.

As for the future, well, none of us knows much about that, do we?

Best wishes,

Beverly

Re: Congrats!
Congratulations Jess on the little girl!
I do hope that something can be found to keep your uveitis in remission once the baby is born. the minor flare will hopefully disappear in the third trimester.

wish you the very best,
Mike

Hi Jess!

Glad to hear the good news! You waited so long to get this little family started, and it's great to know you are having no difficulties! It sounds like you will be having your little girl at a wonderful time of the year. Stay well! I hope Jake loves his little sister!
