RT5/CSR
Note: This ad replaces the ad below entitled "Incomplete RT5 for sale or trade."
Quit racing. Abandoned RT5 CSR project. All parts available to convert back to RT5 FA.
Chassis: 1982 with plated rocker arm suspension, front and rear. Cockpit adjustable roll bars. Tub rough, but straight and square. Repaired crash damage right front. Have two tub panels and template to make more.
Engine: 1600 VW with mechanical fuel injection. New, pro built bottom end with Cosworth pistons and new VW rods. Head complete, needs freshening. Add fluids and start it up.
Gearbox: Mark 9 five-speed. One race and two autocrosses from Taylor freshening. Many gearsets.
Gauges: Standard Ralt with new Amtech electornic tach.
Ignition: Electramotive w/extended rev limiter.
Bodywork: One Groene sports racer nose w/mold. Groene cowling and side panels. One March S2 nose converted to match Ralt cowling. Four RT5 sidepods. Four RT5 noses (two new in gelcoat). Three RT5 cowlings. Four RT5 engine covers.Unfinished wooden and `glass bucks for sides and side covers to match March nose. Three splitters. Aluminum floors, one to fit the Groene body, one to fit the other.
Wings: RT5 front and rear wings. 60-inch wing based on Swift FA main element. Ralt and Swift wing mounts.
Wheels and tires: Two sets of BBS 8 and 10-inch wheels with mounted slicks. One set unmounted slicks. One set 6 and 8-inch Jongbloeds with Super Vee rains, never on car.
Misc: New fuel pump, new fuel filters, Canton screw on oil filter. Welded frame for March nose and radiator. Several sets of new, unused brake pads. Unused Pro Seat bead seat kit. Misc. engine stuff that may or may not be usuable (it came with the car and I haven't looked at it) -- cams, cranks, pistons, rods, valves. One block with scored cylinder, can be bored .040 and used. One SV-spec head with cracked cam tower. May or may not be weldable. Aluminum louvers for front fenders. Formula car jack, three fuel jugs.
$10,500 takes all. Or I'll consider street car or street rod project trades. Spousal unit says three motorcycles are enough for now, so no bike offers, please (and it pains me to say that, so if you have a nice Ducati 900SS, Monster, ST2 . . . ).
