Rayne goes Exploring
As Aisha walked down the hall she found herself quite lost. She'd been originally looking for a way outside but found herself instead near the Dorms.
Aisha finally picked one of many doors and knocked on it. They were friendly here and perhaps someone would show her the way.
The door turned and a girl about her own age with a saddened face and strangely beautiful violet eyes stood there in front of her. "I'm sorry do I know you?" she asked and her voice sounded slightly hoarse.
"No you couldn't. I'm Aisha though. Aisha Munroe," she said quickly and remembering customs in this world held out her hand.
"Munroe? As in Ororo?" another voice asked curiously and a second girl's face poked out through the door. She was pretty with dark hair and darker eyes but a soft gentleness about her seemed to say it was alright.
"I'm from the other world, Ororo was my mother there," Aisha explainned and found herself immediately ushered into the room.
"I'm Tessa," the blonde started, her face brightening. "The curious one is Loni Parker and the other two are Nalani and Halle," Tessa said, pointing in turn to two other girls who were sitting on the bed.
"I'm sure the last thing you want to talk about it your universe but we lost a friend there, his name was Clay, and maybe you've seen him?" Tessa asked and her blonde curls bounced in hope.
Aisha found the whole thing rather strange, four girls just sitting around waiting for news. She was quite sure they hadn't been just waiting around though, in fact she thought they may have been using powers. Prometheus had taught her well and she had learned a little of sensing others and their powers although not half as much as him. From what she could tell there was a power drain at the moment.
"Clay? Yeah I saw him, he's alright last time I was around. I'm sure everything is fine," Aisha said reassuringly. "Listen I'm gonna sound like a snob or something but what have you been doing?"
Loni and Nalani exchanged looks before Loni spoke up. "You're that Aisha aren't you?"
"What Aisha?" Rayne asked, throughly confused.
"Drian asked me to pass on a message to you," Loni said. "It was on the cryptic side but maybe you'll understand. He said he's sorry but it had to be done and wanted me to let you know that he's just fine."
Aisha felt her heart leap and nodded slowly, a slight smile coming across her face. She could forgive him for what he'd done, especially now that they had a link to eachother.
"Thank you, that means alot to me," Aisha answered after a minute.
Loni shrugged, "Hey no problem, it sounds like he's very special to you."
"He is," she said quietly.
It was Tessa who jumped up looking a little more energetic now that she knew her friend was safe. "Alright we've spent days moping already. No one in a sunless universe would want us to take sun for granted. Let's show Aisha how she looks in sunlight.
Aisha looked slightly embaressed as she said, "It's alright, I'm sure you have other things to do. If you could just point me towards the outdoors that would be great."
"No way," Nalani protested. "Can't wriggle out of this one. We're all due for some fun."
Halle nodded along. She rather hoped they'd go for a swim. Being cooped up in here wasn't the most wonderful thing for a selkie.
"Alright I guess, if you're sure," Aisha said but inside she was jumping for joy. Strange as these four were she had the potential to find real friends here. Perhaps Drian had known what he was doing.
"Next stop, Sunshine," Tessa said and she led the group of girls as they headed for the outdoors and an escape from their pain.
