Wow. I've been gone way too long. I've missed you guys. <g> I've been fighting some mysterious malady for months now and it decided to play ugly this week, but we're not here to talk about me. <g>
We're here to talk about Luminosity and her latest wonderful vid. The song is "Southwest Voodoo" by Insane Clown Posse and y'all get one guess who the star is. <g>
I will say there's nothing painful (ie, Seeing Red footage) in there to disrupt your viewing pleasure -- and while it's an intense vid, it also has a sense of whimsy -- or at least I think it does. <g>
The vid is on my server, along with "The End of the World as We Know It" by REM, a Buffyverse vid that Lum and I did together, her "Mad World" Spuffy vid and a vid that we did together to a mix of techno music and sound bytes from Fool for Love. Someone named Mixmaster did the song and Lum found it on Audiogalaxy; we wish we knew who s/he was, so we could offer proper thanks for such a cool song. <g>
Oh yeah, Lum would *really* like to know what Willow lovers think of SWVoodoo and you can reach here here luminosity@jam.rr.com
Oh yeah, you can choose a Real Player or Windows Media Player file -- whichever works for y'all. And one more thing -- please don't post the link to this directory anywhere else, okay. Bandwidth might become an issue.

I feel like Spike explaining the Ben/Glory connection. It's just like people to assume a story is over just because the hero is rotting in her grave. Sheesh.

Is this thing turned on? Or did y'all just hate the vid and you're too nice to say so?
It is pretty harsh, but the subject matter was harsh and Lum wanted to stay true to the message -- but I also think it has a touch of whimsey and hope, especially at the end where the last clip is Willow flashing back, remembering what the true essence of magic really is.
But hey, if y'all hate it, please let me know -- we aim to please after all, but if we don't know what folks think, then it's hard to make things better. <g>

Re: Ready, Set, Vid!
i have to say i thought it was pretty cool...i particularly like the part with the lyric "And a little itty bitty little drip of Faygo" becuase all you hear is the "little itty bitty" part over this footage of tiny buffy...which i thought was funny...pretty creative stuff actually...
Tara: What are they looking at?
Willow: The hotness of you, doofus.
Re: Ready, Set, Vid!
Cool, I'm glad you liked it. I love the editing effects Lum used, and at times the song lyrics seem to have been written especially for Willow. Most notably the parts about raising the dead, and the dead person's response to same.
Okay, off to go check out the spoiler section -- I've got an idea... <weg>

Re: Ready, Set, Vid!
I never would have put Willow together with Insane Clown Posse in my brain, but wow did that work. I especially like the part where the lyrics describe a guy in the cafeteria saying voodoo wasn't real so he turned his head into a lima bean and flick it off. That was perfectly timed with the shushing of Warren and I always support Warren abuse. I liked the ressurection part too.

p.s. I have made freshman attempt at viding. It is W/T and it is very, very naughty . In fact I didn't feel their naughtiness was properly represented so I mixed in some clips from various Girl/Girl love scenes I had available. As soon as I get it on a site somewhere I'll post a link.
