Armament:
Innate Weapon Systems
- 1x 55mm Tri-barreled Beampod: Standard issue weapon for the Valkyrie II, the Beampod unleashes either three-burst shots of beam energy or a full-auto of 2000 rounds per minute. There is enough energy in the Beampod for 4000 rounds of beam energy.

- 2x Head Lasers: Mounted on the head when in Soldier mode, but located on the underbelly when in Gerwalk and Fighter mode. 360 degree rotation. Unlimited payload.

Standard Load-out
- 4x Underwing Hardpoints: Small detachable struts on the bottom of the VF-2SS give it the ability to hold various load-outs of missiles. Each strut can carry either one heavy warhead, 3 medium warheads, or 5 light warheads.

Super Armed Pack (SAP) Load-out
- 1x High-powered Semi-automatic Beam Rifle: A single-barreled beam rifle with triple the firepower of a Beampod, the Beam Rifle is a sniper-rifle type weapon with a range close to that of Medium-range missiles. Though it is at an extreme disadvantage with a 12 rounds per minute speed and only enough energy for 60 rounds.

- 1x Light Rail Gun: A weapon mostly seen on capital ships, a minaturized version of a Rail Gun is placed on the SAP system to give the VF-2SS more firepower to carry around. Like it's larger cousins, the Light Rail Gun has the power to puncture through battleship hull easily and effectively. The only weaknesses to this weapon are that it must be fired in Battroid mode, it can only fire 4 rounds per minute, and it can only carry 12 rounds max.

- 54x Cluster Missiles: Launchers hidden within the SAP carry these small, highly maneuverable missiles. Though weaker than most warheads due to their size, the cluster missiles can swarm a mecha's defenses pretty easily.

- 6x Heavy Warhead, Long-range Missiles: Used for anti-capital ship operations, this missiles (normally nukes), are hidden inside the SAP system.

Armor:
Pin-point Barrier System: The PBS can generate a single pinpoint barrier that can be moved anywhere on the mecha and used as a shield against incoming attacks. Because of the large amount of energy the PBS uses, it cannot operate while firing any of the VF-2SS' laser weaponry.

History:
With the restrictions upon military assets and the need for a competitive mecha to counter some of the toughest obstacles, the CDF began research and development onto Variable Fighters. Testing out various designs, the one design that stood out from the rest of an off-shoot of an older VF model. Dubbed the Valkyrie II during the prototype phase, it shined like a jewel in the desert.

The test pilot, the infamous Grim Reaper, had very few words about the machine, but one quote of his stood out from all the rest. "This baby's like those old Valks on steroids, and it ain't too bad at running away either." Now in limited production for field testing, the VF-2SS "Valkyrie II" is only allowed for use in Commander Lionheart's Squadron.

Special Attacks:
Pinpoint Barrier Punch: This attack requires the PPB (PinPoint Barrier) to move to the hand of the VF-2SS. The VF-2SS can then punch a target without fear of damaging its hand. This attack has the ability to punch through the hull of a ship or a space station.

Self-Destruct System: The VF-22S is equipped with a self-destruction system that can produce a powerful explosion that will obliterate anything within a twenty foot radius. It can be programmed to detonate with a time delay of up to sixty minutes. The escape pod will detach from the fighter before it explodes.

Nova Strike: Using the SAP system, a VF-2SS unleashes a torrent of fire into a single point to create a large, engulfing explosion. The explosion itself is used to damage or destroy anything slow and weak enough to get caught in its thirty-meter radius.

Special Features:

Transformation: Like all variable craft, the Valkyrie II has the ability to transform into three forms: Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battloid. Each form conforms to specific types of missions and has various functions, making it a great multipurpose unit.

Transformation time:
Minimum time fighter-to-GERWALK automated: 1.5 seconds (approximate)
Minimum time GERWALK-to-battroid automated: under 2 seconds
Standard time fighter-to-battroid automated: under 5 seconds
Minimum time fighter-to-battroid manual: 0.9 seconds

Detachable Limbs: When the VF-2SS' arms and legs receive critical damage, they can be ejected from the VF-2SS. No critical systems are located in any of the limbs so the Valkyrie II’s functions are not hindered without them. However, without the arms, the beampods can’t be used in Gerwalk and Battroid modes.

Escape Pod: The cockpit of the VF-22S also doubles as an escape pod with a reinforced hull. It lacks any thrusters but it does have a powerful location beacon and can sustain its integrated life support system for twenty-four hours after ejection. It also is equipped with a set of parachutes in case of ejection within atmosphere.
