Record breaking heat in Seattle
for many of you 103 is 'normal' but here in my area of the USA, it got downright HOT yesterday in Seattle at 104 deg F.
(40deg C.) three cold showers helped me cope. we usually only get a couple of days at around 95 a year and we have hhad 4 days above 97 in a row with a potential record there too. today it is to be around 100 again.
because we don't get hot weather normally, only about 15% of homes have air conditioning out here. I don't!

wish all cool weather,
Mike

Uhnbelieveable, isn't it. We have your weather here in Boston. There have been perhaps 10 sunny days all of Spring and Summer, and we are now into August. Amazing.

Trade?

Re: Record breaking heat in Seattle
We are back into the low 80's now so life is GOOD. it cools off to around 55 to 60 at night again so we can sleep with the help of a fan to pull in the night air.
possible rain on thursday. we hava had .08 inches of rain since the first week of July in the Seattle Area, be here in Tacoma, it has been since the first week in June that we have had any rain.
this heat should be coming your way soon.

wish you the best,
Mike

Re: Record breaking heat in Seattle
so how are your black raspberries doing with all the rain?

today is about 90 here, much more bearable with a breeze.
I went for accupuncture today and am a bit 'gumby' right now.
Jan is watching the Grandkids at my son's home so I might just take a little nap.

hope you dry out soon,
Mike

Re: Record breaking heat in Seattle
We had a lot of yard work and there are no respberries this year (tears). I moved a few plants to start over, so hopefully next year, or certinly the year after, we will have berries again. There is simply nothing like them.

New puppy is keeping me busy. Surgery next Thursday (shoulder), so won't be posting for a while after that.

Re: Record breaking heat in Seattle
what did you do to your shoulder? Old injury Or new from yard work?

I planted blueberries last year and this year we are getting some very good tasting berries. next year should be a much better harvest as the plants are growning lots of new branches in this heat.

I hope you recover quickly from the surgery.

wish you the best,
Mike
