Restless Nightwalker
The sound of soft breathing was all that could be heard echoing softly through the silence of the dimly illuminated room, moonlight shining through the large window on the outer wall. The furred mutant lay currled up into a ball benieth the disgruntled sheets, pullows tossed aside, and her head resting on the matress. The long, blue arrow-ended tail poking out from under the covers, and flicking without rythm at the still air. As the shapeshifted tossed restlessly, stretching out in odd positions and hanging off the bed, a lock of straight sandy hair would occasionally get entangled around the tip of her pointed ears, or lay strewn over the creature's bright emerald eyes.
A long, lasty breath could be heard through the quiet as the restless shifting came to a stop, and the bare feet of the girl slid to meet the cold of the tile floor. Her soft PJs of a cream white contrasted against her thin coat of blue, mid-back long hair of dishwater blonde scewing over her features and cascading her shoulders as she took silent steps to her closet, full of clean new clothes so carefully prepared for her.
The night clothes soon lay neatly folded back on her bed, awaiting her return as she reached into the closet, and pulled out, after a few moments questioning silence, a pair of loose black jeans, and a ebony shirt aswell, both entirely able to mix with the nights aphotic shadowing except for the small, silver outline of a feline on the top.
Still bare footed, the now better camaflaged figure moved to the open window, the cool nights breeze blowing into the room, overwhelming her sences, taunting her.
She needed to be out there.
The figure lept effortlessly through the small space, landing with the softest of thuds on the other side. It was only a few seconds before the figure was only a quickly fading silhouette in the distance, demonic tail flicking behind her crouched figure as she lept and slid silently through the shadows, emerald gaze giving not a glance back.
