SPICY SHEPERD'S PIE
Ingredients:

1 pkg. (6.6 oz.) instant mashed potatoes or 4 c. hot mashed potatoes
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (11 oz.) mexicorn, drained
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
1 envelope taco seasoning
1-1/2 t. chili powder
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. garlic powder
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided


Instructions:

Prepare mashed potatoes according to package directions.

Meanwhile in a large skillet, cook beef, & onions until the meat is done, drain. Add tomatoes, corn, green chilie's, taco seasoning, chili powder, salt & garlic powder. Bring to a boil cook and stir for 1-2 min. Transfer to a greased 2-1/2 qt. baking dish. Top with 3/4 c. cheese Spread mashed potatoes over the top; sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake uncovered at 350 for 12 - 15 min. or until cheese is melted
