Before Aurora had a chance to reply, her communicator gave a soft beep followed by Storm's voice. Having expected something like that to happen, the fiery mutant had tuned the volume down so that only those close by could hear even bits of what came through.



"Circe, this is Storm. Be prepared to leave tomorrow early morning. I believe you know what it's about. Storm end."

Although her leader couldn't see it, Aurora nodded out of an reflex.
"As you wish. Circe end.

Her voice had sounded calm and almost nonchalently, yet inside, she was overjoyed. She didn't need to go on her own doing something incredibly stupid. It was an official mission which would give her the opportunity to prove herself a real X-Man!



"Salut? Have you fallen asleep or what? Where did you plan to go to first?"

Friendly mockery sounded in the greening mutant's voice who had changed his skin color to that of a ordinary North European person.
Similar to Talia, Aran felt anything but easy surrounded by so many homo sapiens, the reasons, however, were totally different. He knew he had to overcome this ulcer of hatred inside but it was so hard. So incredibly hard.


Aurora dropped her triumphant thoughts and flashed an excusing smile at the other two.
"Sorry, I have been daydreaming.
Well, I would love to take a look at Gucci's new collection. I have heard there were some totally gorgeous pieces among the usual 'look at me I got a lot of money but no taste of fashion' things"

Dryad, although having realized that Nocturne was a telepath hardly ever speaking aloud, muttered at the young Wagner rolling his eyes jokingly.
"Don't get her ranting about faux-pas... that'll be really difficult if that's your first time going shopping with material girl though"

A $500 purse hit his blackhaired head without a warning.
"I heard that, Monsieur Quentin... and I strongly suggest you to behave. Be a good shopping slave and I might even buy you some ice-cream later"

The seriousness Circe had spoken with was almost convincing if it wasn't for the amused twinkle in her warm brown eyes that.

"... or Talia, dear, do you have something you would like to take a look at first? I mean, I have been here like a million times before but I figure since you have not been at the Institute for long...?"
She left the sentence unfinished hoping she wasn't overriding the girl's wishes.
