Scouting the Lions Den
A faint glimmer permeated the silent early morning in the centre of Avernus Square as the figures of six Reman soldiers beamed into position near the centre of the building complex that was built right upon the Deutinium deposit that Shinzon needed. The Reman’s beamed in in a circular set up, disruptor rifles facing outwards in all directing. When it was clear that there was no one in the near vicinity the team moved out of the centre of the square and run to the edge of a long, concrete road that led straight up to the central builing of the complex. Lining the edge of road were large trees and bushes, allowing the Reman’s to silently shift along the road.

Once they reached halfway and checked that they were still undetected they began to set to work. The Reman officer that had been on the bridge stood out from the group and addressed them;

“You three, begin scanning the outter grounds for areas of ground based weakness and more precise readings of the Deutinium deposit. You two will be with me, we will be infiltrating the main building for signs of life and technology. Lord Shinzon does not want us to be found and know witnesses to our infiltration. Set disruptors to kill, anyone that sees us will have to be silenced. Now go!” The leaders low growling voice was as long as a whisper but the determination in following out Shinzon’s orders to the letter was obvious.

The three Reman’s that were ordered to scan the external area shifted silently into the bushs, not even a russle was heard as they left and began their orders. The Officer led his team towards the Obsidian building, ensuring that any shafts of moon light that sifted down onto the area were averted for optimum concealment.

The three Reman’s headed for the main entrance of the building, hiding behind a large statue of a human male the Reman’s scanned the area for security personnel and procedures,. The front entrance was locked with an eltronic locking mechanism, and was being guarded by regular patrols of human security guards. The Officer knew that they could make it through the doors by setting their science scanners to initiate an EMP, but they would have to get the guards disposed of first.

“You, (the Officer pointed at one of his two subordinates) go over there and make some chaos, get the attention of the security.”

The soldier nodded and ran out into the darkness, completely wrapped in the veil of black that surrounded them. It didn’t take long before their scanners showed a low intensity energy burst; a disruptor shot. The building across the way started to glow red, and before long flames lapped the small construction. Turning their attention to the security guards, the Reman’s watched as the humans scattered towards the building now being lapped with fire. The two infiltrators ran for the darkened entrance to the main building of the complex, quickly met by the third of their party. The Officer began tapping his scanner and it began to hum quietly with a high pitched tone, just before the sound got intolerable to the ears of the Reman’s it’s energy suddenly dissipated, the door clicked, and the Reman’s pushed the entrance open, closing the door behind them; they had entered, so far without being seen……

"Ya, man. She wuz all over me!"

In the cavernous halls that comprise the internal structure of the Obsidian building, a pair of security guards share a moment of comradery between one another on their hour-long lunch period.

"Really? She was??"

"Damn right, she wuz. I tell ya, if ya just tell'em what they wanna hear, then yous'..."

The potentially entertaining tale is cut short by the blare of warning klaxons and a disturbing image that encompasses the south cameras.

"Holy Sh**!! Reynolds, call this in. I'll go get some of the boys from the front desk to go see if we can do sumpthin'. MOVE!"

Springing into action, the younger guard runs over to the nearest intercom trying his best to remember the protocol for a fire emergency.

"Control this is Reynolds. We have a class nine fire on the south building. It came out of nowhere! Cause unknown. Gary is on his way over there with Harris and..."

<sshhkk--We are well aware of the situation. A fire crew has been dispatched to the south building and should arrive there shortly. You are to round up the remaining guards on your floor and assist the fire crew in any way they deem fit. Over-shhkk>

The young guard looked at the intercom with a bemused expression.

"Control, are you sure about that? Jacobs, Willams, Kelp, an' me are the only one's watching the front. If we all go, there'll be nobody here to..."

<sshhkk--I repeat, we are well aware of the situation. You have your orders. Control out. --sshhkk>

Reynolds could do little more than blink in surpass and walk off to carry out his orders. When a order came down from control, it was normally final. But usually they made sense. What they where suggesting would leave the front door wide open.

"They must know what they're doing."

Re: Scouting the Lions Den
The small group of Reman's crept silently through the main foyer of the central Obsidian building, there incursion into the tall building that had been constructed on the very deposite of ore they required had yet to be noticed; the humans had fallen straight for the ruse they had set and now they were in.

Led by the assigned officer the group moved into one of the many spider web like corridors that linked from the foyer to the rest of the building, they had been perposly told to head to the centre of the ground floor, as this would be the best place to get close range scans of the ore deposite they sort after. They had been told to keep comm silence with the Scimitar as Shinzon and his Viceroy were able to monitor their progress from orbit and that they would know from the information they gathered when it would be safe for them to enter the top floor of the building, the one floor that was confirmed as the central point of the whole organisation; this is where their leader could be found.

The group of Remans, acustomed to the darkness, did not require any artificial lightly to guide their way, so when they entered a central labrotory that was situated in the centre of the building they could see everything in the room as clearly as if bright sun shine was illuminating it. The lead Reman led his forces near to the middle of the room, he activated his hand held scanner and worked out the exact centre of the room;

"You four, take out your portable scan enhancers, place them, there....there....there...and there." The lead Reamn ordered, pointing at each position the scanners were to sit, making a perfect diamond shape around the central point. The subordinates pulled short cilinders fromm there back, pressing a side button the extended to twice the length they were, the tops opened up and emited a faint green haze, and three spike-like legs shot from the bottom so that they could steadily sit in their position. The metre long enhancers were placed where they were told and as they were set down the Reman leader walked into the centre of the diamond. He pressed a command on his scanner and the four pieces of hardware were linked with a green energy beam, joinig to each one around him.

The green light filled the room, and the leader began pressing other buttons on his scanner, as he did the memory core of the device filled with more and more detailed information on the substance they require; Lord Shinzon will be most pleased with the results.

Out of know where there was a loud clang and the Reman's quickly turned their attention to the noise, in timeto see a man in a long white lab coat leap from behind a workbench and make a chase for the door. With lightning reactions and precision aim the lead Reman took out his disruptor and unleashed a bolt from the end, it hit the man square between the shoulders and his body crumpled to the floor. He turned to his soldiers;

"That was noisey, deal with the body quickly while i get these readings, we cannot fail Shinzon, he needs these results and then we can move onto the next fase of our plan!" The leader hissed as the four ran to the body and began to move it out the way.

As the Reman analysed the data that was being transmitted to the scanner and being linked directly to the Scimitar he noticed some odd technological readings coming with the other read outs. There was something else, something more underground this complex.

"Come on!" He ordered to the troops behind him. "Pack up those scanners, theres more here, we need to go down, Shinzon will reward us for seeing what this is we have discovered." With that the patrol of Reman's packed up there equipment and followed the scanner readings to the entrance. The doorway down being concealed within one of the walls in the corridor outside the lab.....

(Continues in Pandemonium.)
