Soldier with eye injury in Money Mag
HI Ya'll,

I was reading the most recent copy of Money Magazine yesterday, and there is a very touching story in the issue about a soldier who suffered severe injurins with loss of sight bc of war injury. He had one eye torn up by something going through it after and explosion, and it lodged in the other eye. Scar tissue caused too much injury for him to have sight in either eye. The story gets around to helping him with financial advice, but is takes a lot of time to tell you alot about the soldier and his family, and his battle with recovery and his hopes and dreams and plans for the future. He is wanting to stay in the service, and he is taking courses to learn braile and using the cane to walk, and he even has a goal of running in the next Boston marathon.

Just thought some of you might be as touched as I was with his journey. Maybe even someone here might have some input somehow to connect him with resources if that is possible from an article like that. It was very touching and very inspirational. Such a sad story too though to see someone else battleing to still have a life they want while adjusting to such huge losses.

Take care yall,

betti g
