Status.

I've atttempted to recruit numerous people, but most seem either busy or uninterested. I had one person (Mung-Mung) sign up, but then he decided he was too busy/uninterested to take the extra effort and Rp.

I think we should make Nelson our offical recruiter, he's the one who recruited me, and made me see the novel concept that was Toonopolis.

Not to mention, it'll annoy Nelson, and that's always a plus.

toonopolis ezOP Posts: 180 (9/4/03 11:51 am) Reply	Status. Well, I know I haven't been very active... but this week snuck up on me and kicked me in the ass. Between a job interview on Tuesday (I better get this damned job... I cut all my hair off for the interview sniffle), having to actually register for graduate school (which I also did on Tuesday... when classes started last night), and erm... FFXI, I've been busy. So, it seems like most of us are in the same boat right now and we've heard similar situations from Roman, Jon, and Dominique (plus Jonathan and Sands, who e-mailed me similar problems)... that puts a lot of people out of commission. However, I would like to continue moving forward with everything. I will still produce the show Saturday night like planned. Voting lists have been sent out - as well as fight instructions to the fight writers (I meant to send them this past weekend, sorry). Anyways, I will move ahead with Episode Thirty-Two even minus Atara, Kyro, 09, and Superhero. Those four will be put on hiatus until their creators tell me otherwise (Kyro already has been, so will continue to be). That still leaves us with 17 active toons (well, at least 12, not counting the three ASS no-showers and the two newbies). 12 is fine to continue. However, we definitely need a boost in good, active toons. Those of you active in other types of online stuff (comics, message board roleplaying, whatever), please try to reach out and get a hold of a few good people. E-wrestling has kind of been tapped out and the whole e-wrestling world is kind of going through a downward drive anyway (in correllation with the falling of real fake wrestling) so my resources are kind of slim for recruiting. Anyways, I don't want this place to die again... so even if I have to push forward with little to no roleplaying and only have five or six active people, we'll push through... because I think if we continue to push forward we'll be able to make it through and come out the other side re-energized and what-have-you. I just thought I'd let you all know that. BTW, Matt S. - if you get an application in before Saturday night, I will definitely have you on the next SM line-up. The only thing left is school, but we all know the first two-to-three weeks are a cakewalk. So, I'm in. Ya now have at least thirteen peoples. ....Much to the dismay of many. And whilst I'm a fan of the shows coming out ASAP, good godamn am I tapped for creativity. I can get them out today but I'm wondering about the urgency factor. Also, it'd be interesting to see if Rodden is actually alive.

I wanted to do it last night - but I've been running on about five hours of sleep four nights in a row. Those of you who know me know that I don't work with such little sleep. So I went to sleep at about 4:30 in the afternoon and slept for about twelve hours. And I'm gonna have to apologize now to Jen and Dan if the fight isn't any good, I was so braindead I had to get Nails to help me pick up the slack and even he was tired when he wrote the middle of it. But I thought I wrapped it up as best I could.
