Suggestion for the latest comic.
1st panel you have Boofer in the front looking at the bug that lands on his arm and starts sucking blood. In the background you have McSir looking hungry.
2nd Panel, have Boofer ponder his existential question about what bugs think about. The key here is to make it very philosophical for contrast. "I wonder if bugs actually think about stuff or if they just rely on instinct to survive?"
Background is McSir finding the donut/loveslave.
3rd Panel More existential stuff from Boofer about the bug and in the background have McSir walk off after eating the donut.
4th Panel do a split screen thing with both Boofer and the bug doing the this tastes like ass comment.
In the background of Boofer's side see if you can sneak in the thing about the love slave. But it might be too much clutter.
What you could even do is make it a 5 panel comic with a double sized panel underneath the other four. And put the filler stuff in the fourth panel. Perhaps show Kootex coming up and looking for his love slave(but not saying anything he's background) while Boofer notices his milk "Ummm Milk"
I think doing it 5 panel would be best because it gives you alot of room for a split panel but it requires two filler panels which are going to make or break the punchline.
Just my thoughts that might give you something to consider for the future.

Re: Suggestion for the latest comic.
i agree that there was a lot of clutter in the new comic. it originally did not include McSir eating the Donut at all and was written as a simple dialouge between boofer and kootex. i kinda jammed the Mcsir sequence into the background to bring ultimate closure and finality to the love slave saga. I also like the way McSir's face looks with the string hangin' out of his mouth. hehe.
i appreciate the time it took you to rework the ideas of the latest comic and i agree that the split dialouge scene would have been a more effective way of throwing the joke in the reader's face. I guess that's the reason a lot of people don't initially "get" a lot of my comics is because I specifically don't make them overtly simple and basic (other than "Operation:Sandwich"). Which is a characteristic of 99% of comic-strips.
I think the next comic will be very clear and simple for everyone to digest.
awww
