Armament:
Eva Pistol- A large pistol, it fires 7 .45 Eva bullets. This is a tailor-made model for 02, and is based off an older model.
Machine gun- We've all seen the Eva Machine Gun. A beautiful work, it's one of the fastest firing weapons of the Eva arsenal, topped only by the gatling system.
MRL (Multiple Rocket Launcher)- Eva 02's long-range weapon of choice, this large rocket launcher carries 8 rockets in it. A deadly weapon, it comes in two variants, this model, and a fire-and-forget system that allows the rocket to lock onto mechas. There are also multiple ammo types, such as the basic, the Multiple Warhead, and, for worst-case scenarios, the N2 Warhead (which must be authorized by te higher-ups).
Positron Rifle- Channeling energy to form a projectile, the Positron Rifle is the first and only Eva weapon that can breach the atmosphere of a planet and hit targets in space, or hit them FROM space. A deadly weapon indeed, though in close-range combat it's useless.
Sniper Rifle- The Eva Sniper Rifle has the strongest of ammo for the projectile weapons, a large bullet capable of piercing most armor. Normally only one Eva is assaigned this in a mission... and for good reason. While it's strong, it has a horrible kick to it, and also is useless in short range (unless you enjoy bashing the enemy mecha around).
Prog Knifex2- Normally stored in the shoulder armor, This is the shortest of the close-range weapons, but also the most reliable. God bless that Prog Knife.
Spear- Why knife when you can spear an enemy?
Poleaxe- When you want to bring something sharp on an enemy that's out of reach, the Poleaxe is your best bet. Painful and effective, it makes enemies that aren't trying to knife you tremble in fear... though it's clumsy.
Armor: Armor plating covering the body in strategic spots, two large chest plates that protect the core, helmet
History: Formed five years ago along with Evangelion Units 00, 01, 03, 04, and 05, this is one of the first Evangelion Units. Developed to fight Orbital Frames with their AT Fields on the surface of Mars, 02, just like its brothers and sisters, was made for ground combat... and as such, fights horribly in space. However, when it was discovered that Japan would be the target of the Solar Cannon, the Federation Pacific Fleet transported the Eva Units out of Japan... as an hour later the Solar Cannon destroyed it.
Currently stationed at the Nevada NERV site, 02 and its pilot have been kept under wraps for the most part, though are sometimes seen sent into sorties on Earth and training with the special forces stationed in America.
Special Attacks: AT-Field: Using the Eva's AT-Field as a weapon, the unit launches the field at the enemy, first crushing them, before detonating it, causing multiple explosions over the field it was covering. Highly deadly.
